Both Wii and Wii U version were released in Japan months ago and the game's sales were good so far in Japan.

 

I've been looking forward to this game,why Square isn't releasing it outside of Japan since most main entries in the series got released overseas????

 

Are they too busy with FF14 to the point that the Enix(Dragon Quest's developers) part of the company cannot work on it anymore???

 

If they kept this as a Japan only game,then I'll be sooo pissed off

There is no "Enix part" of the company anymore its all one entity. If the sales were good in Japan and the demand in the west was great enough then the team that developed it should have had enough resources to bring it here. its as simple as that.

Its a much bigger process than youd think to make an american version and with all the announcements square has just made something tells me that their hands are pretty full however if they planned from the start to make an english copy then their would already be a team working on it

I think why we have not received it yet is based on the money loss SQUARE ENIX had.

Shush. There are still some ENIX people, at least I hope. I miss STAR OCEAN so bad. 

Dragon Quest games take like a year before any announcement for localization happens.And besides, I'd rather see the DQ7 remake be localized over an MMO that's only had okay sales.

As much as I'd love to see it get localized, it's a Dragon Quest Wii/Wii U-only paid MMORPG. It'd be dead-on-arrival in the West outside of some sales from the DQ fanbase.

I'm with you on this. We need DQX outside Japan soon! DQVII 3D and Terry's Wonderland (Sorry if I misspelled that one, I'm actually a newer DQ fan. I still love the games, though) also need to be localized.

The companies merged, yes, but original teams never really merged. There's still the FF team from Square, and the DQ team from Enix, if I'm not mistaken.

There is STILL an Enix part

 

even after the merging,the Enix part works individually from the Square Part otherwise we wouldn't have seen so many Dragon Quest games since the merging

 

Also one trivia note for you:It was Enix that swallowed Square in because Square back then was on the edge of bankruptcy because of the epic fail movie FF the Spirit Within which caused them to lose millions upon millions of dollars

 

speaking of which,where is the DQVII 3DS remake that they've annonced while ago
