Spinning Egyptian Statue at Manchester Museum

Featured Replies

Well from we've seen from the footage, the stattuete only moved when people were around.

Probably it has some deformation in the base, and it moves when people walk around it.

But it would be cool if it was some kind of curse xD

People say its some vibration-light relation that makes it spin. I don't really get why its spinning though, I thought it was amazing though.

When me and my brother first watched the video, our computer froze halfway and we thought the curse was upon us.

Magnetic, or ghost. the two most possible thing :D

Definitely has to do with vibrations or something as it only appears to move when there are a vast amount of people walking rather closely to the display case.  Also with the fact it doesn't move at night.

I read about this on Tumblr and some people were theorizing it was the work of the Weeping Angels. |:

The Weeping Angels are an alien species from Doctor Who. They're literally stone angels that move. xD
