If all the Xehanorts were presumably brought back in time, how will they fight the Guardians of Light in the present?  Is there some way of summoning them or something or will they at some point gain the power to travel through time also?

This probably will be answered during KH3, but I want everyone's opinion on this.  What do you guys think?

Unless I'm just thinking wrong (idek) before Sora was rescued by Axel/Lea towards the end of KH3D, wasn't Xehanort summoning all of his past... "forms"?  This included Young Master Xehanort, Ansem: SoD, Saix, Xigbar, and then all the other Xehanorts.  So it's possible for the Xehanorts to fight the Guardians of Light in some shape or form.

I believe Young Master Xehanort fetched all of them, when he received the time travelling powers from the version of him that was only a heart and in a brown cloak.  But how are they going to fight in the future?

I'd imagine they would need to meet in an inbetween world like the Keyblade Graveyard and then YMX would summon and pick the up again during the 'destined' time .

I would think so.  I thought this might be the case.  This would definitely emphasize the 'Realm Inbetween', between light and dark, and maybe future and past.  It would be the perfect place to do so.  It could also explain how Sora made contact with Terra in KH2FM.  Thanks!

Wait so in the main story line xemnas/ansem are dead/gone but in 3d they come from the past before they're dead?

Thanks to Ansem's contact with the most past version of himself all the nort's were in a state in which they could transcend time via Young Xehanort as a portal.

This. The inbetween worlds have special conditions that allow all Thirteen Xehanort's to exist at the same time despite being from different time periods.

I don't know how it's going to happen.

Probably that!
