I'm still undecided. I'd love to Platinum it, but it looks it would be challenging and very time consuming...

It does consume a lot of time... There's a trophy for which you have to create all weapons and accesories, and in that game it is really difficult, since you don't earn gils after battles and you do need gils for buying Ultracompact Reactors. Then there's this trapezoedron material needed for Third-level weapons, which is really hard to find and, otherway, costs 2000000 gils in the shop. Also, completing all Cie'th stone's missions takes a lot of time, and there is a trophy for which you need to complete all those missions with a five star rank...

I tried to Platinum it once, but I gave up with the Accesory/Weapon trophy... FFXIII-2 is really easy to Platinum, though (:

EDIT: Anyways, if you are going to give it a try, there are some tricks I can tell you for completing it faster c:

Depends if you're a completionist, personally I only platinum games I really enjoy as long as it isn't tedious, so if you enjoy the game, go for it.

How much of it are you already done with? It is ofcourse with no doubt a long platinum trophy to get but if you liked the game then why not finish it 100%. Sure it will be boring upgrading all weapons and accessories by defeating many of those big turtles (forgot the name) but you will feel excellent after getting a great platinum. I have got both FFXIII and FFXIII-2 platinum trophies and I can also say that FFXIII-2 is much easier. I personally think that you should go for it. :D The platinum is not that challenging but only time consuming.

What are these "tricks"?

What are these "tricks"?

To obtain more trapezoedrons faster:

1. Get one (by defeating aa Long Gui in the Leviatan Plaza in Eden or buying it for 2000000 gils).

2. Upgrade one of Fang's weapons until it reaches its third-level-weapon (Kain Lance) by using the trapezoedron you got.

3. Level up this weapon until it reaches its star level, then dismantle it.

4. You'll get 3 trapezoedron. Save one to repeat the process and use the other two for the other characters weapons.

5. Repeat the process.

To level up quickly (you better use the Growth Egg):

Two options:

1. Go to the Archylte Steppe and head to the north-west part, near to the entrance to the mines. There, you'll find a behemoth and a kinda-dog beast (forgot its name) fighting. Start the fight and kill the behemoth first before it heals itself, then defeat the other beast. After the match, go up, then come back and the duo will be there again.

2. Make a tour in the Titan's circuit in the Archylte Steppe. I followed this order: A1, B2, C2, D2, E3 (I think :/). In D2 (I think xD), there were two battles against flowered Cactuars, which everyone of it gives you 15000 Exp Points (there are 8, 3 and 5 in each combat, so if you kill'em all, you'll get 120000EXP). However, they run away quickly, and they use some good techniques. I used Hope, Fang, and Lightning (Hope as the leader, except for the fight against Raktavijka, where I used Lightning as the Leader because of her ability Army of One). If you do well, you'lle get around 150000 EXP in every tour, in around 20 minutes.

To obtain the trophies represented by the crystals of Snow and Lightning (forgot the name, excuse me xD), you'll need the Gold Watch, an accesory obtained after defeating the Vercingetorix, the hardest enemy of the game. This accesory makes you have more battle time, which makes it easier to obtain better post-battle ranks. This is the condition of these trophies: the Snow's crystal (get a 5 Star rank in ALL missions), and the Lightning's crystal (defeat the Orphan with a 5 Star rank). Another thing that helps getting better post-battle ranks is equiping your team with low level weapons.

To obtain the 100000 Trophy (sorry for the lack of names), you'll need a Gengi Glove (without this accesory, it's impossible. You can get it in mission 62). Use Fang as the leader, then go against a Long Gui or any other turtle enemy. Make its legs go down. When you can attack its head,  take it to the BREAK bar, then raise it 'till 999%. Cast Bravega on Fang and Deprotect on the enemy's head. Then, use Highwind with Fang. There are many ways to obtain this trophy, but with this strategy it's almost impossible to fail.

If I remember more, I'll tell you. Hope this helps ya! :D

Have you got every single treasure chest from Ch1 to Ch 10????

If Yes,you can try to get the platinum.

If No,Don't bother because the "Treasure Hunter" trophy requires you to get every single treasure chest in the game,if you happened to miss even ONE chest on any chapter before Ch 11......don't even think about trying to get the Platinum unless you wanna replay the game all over again.

I recommend you move on to XIII-2,it's a much better game and the process of getting the Platinum is...while easy,it's still enjoyable(Except the Pokedex-esque sidequest)

Yes, you should. BUT FIRST, Play and Platinum XIII-2. Its alot easier to platinum, and it'll take too long to  get to play XIII-2 if you try platinuming XIII. If you really are gonna platinum XIII, YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO GO TO THIS WEBSITE:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/final-fantasy-xiii/

It helps IMMENSELY with getting all the trophies and that stuff. If you wanna platinum XIII, that website is your best bet for getting it out of the way quicklu(it all depends on how fast you are at grinding too).

The final decision will be up to you.
