I've been wondering this for a while. (This may be a little over the place) During the Keyblade War, all light was extinguished save for the seven hearts of pure light, which were the Princesses of Heart, which restored light to the worlds. Here's what has confused me: the Keyblade War was a long time before Birth by Sleep and the rest of the KH games, and from what we've seen, Disney characters don't age or die really. So, the six Disney Princesses of Heart were probably there during the Keyblade War, but what about Kairi? There's

now way she was there, but she is a Princess of Heart. So... was there another 7th Princess before Kairi? And did this Princess die or was taken by darkness, resulting in a new Princess being born? It's a question that has bothered for a while, and I hope it will explained in KH3, if not, it could be some sort of future plot after the Xehanort Saga.

The original 13 darkness's aren't around now so I'm guessing the same thing happened to the original 7 princess's of light.

Kingdom Hearts. I seriously think Kingdom Heats is sentient it is what chooses who is born as a PoH, who is worthy to wield a Keyblade, and who becomes a GoL. It probably chooses who become an SoD as well, and it keeps rejecting Xehanort because, by creating his own 13 Darknesses, he's going against the will of Kingdom Hearts.

The Keyblade War took place before Xehanorts' birth, so it took place when the ancesters of the current PoH were still alive, which could be centures.

Ugh who knows lol it all gets so confusing sometimes. Like some other people said being a PoH is probably passed down
