They're already talking of a new DBZ movie, IT HAS TO BE THE SEQUEL TO BATTLE OF GODS! And Vegeta's gonna have a more major role! Thats cool, though i wished he'd give Gohan more spotlight, but i guess beating Cell was it for him. : Either way, i really hope the next movie is canon and is a sequel to BOG.

That's right folks, DragonBall (Z) Kai if FINALLY back, and its going to finish the original DragonBall Z story with the Buu Saga, starting April 6th at 9:00 AM on Fuji TV, with the show taking Toriko's timeslot as well. lol (I'm sorry Toriko, I love ya, but MAKE ROOM FOR THE KING, MOTHERF**KER! )

 

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FLIPPIN' HAPPY RIGHT NOW! Everybody knows that I love love love love love LOVE the very existence of DragonBall Kai, so to see that its finally going to be finished, I... *takes breath* Whoo boy, better stop before I die again. lol

 

Anyways, another development here is that along with the usual updates that Kai entails (remastering, cut filler, etc) there is going to be a re-recorded soundtrack. If you remember way back when, the composer for Kai's first soundtrack got sued for copyright infringement, so Kai had to use the old score from the original DragonBall Z. I'm wondering to who exactly is doing the score, and if he'll be up to snuff. I'd also think that it would be cool for Kai to be re-released again so that the new guy can re-record the OST for the Saiyan Saga, Frieza Saga, AND Cell Saga as well. I know that means more re-releasing but... ah F**K IT! I want consistent music! Don't judge me! DX

^ YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! But since Nicktoons took it off the air, WHERE ARE WE GONNA WATCH THE BUU SAGA OF KAI IN DUBS IN THE U.S.? On Vortex? That'll take ages to get to the end. -_- Hopefully Toonami takes it up, but they'll take a long ass time to get to the end too.

 

At least the subs will be shown, im looking forward to it. Only 2 months to go.

 

Now if only Battle of Gods was dubbed and released here, it would be perfect.

So I've been listening to alot of rock music lately, and in some of the songs I've heard, I've noticed that some of the lyrics/themes remind me of DragonBall. Here are three in paticular:

 

1) Disturbed - Warrior

This song embodies the very core and creed of the Saiyan race: domination. It's pretty self-explanatory, both in title, lyrics, and composition of the entire song. This can apply to any Saiyan in the series that really goes HAM, especially Broly, Vegeta, and Goku, when he gets super pissed.

 

2) Breaking Benjamin - Until The End

The song in question refers to going through hardships in ones life until you eventually get past them all. This is Vegeta's character in a nutshell. It really explores the dramatic substance that Vegeta has to his character and his ever on-going struggle to prove himself that he is stronger than Goku that pretty much begins at the very start of the series all the way up to the end, where he finally decides to swallow his pride and admit Goku is his better. Still, Vegeta's journey was still long and arduous, and you have to respect his merit for that.

 

3) Firefly - Unbreakable

 

 

Also very self-explanatory: going through obstacles and believing that you are unbreakable and nothing can get in your way. A common theme in the DragonBall Z story. Just listening to this song while picturing the entire story from Saiyan Saga to Majin Buu Saga is a testament to how powerful the message is.

If people though Nicktoons minor editing was bad, you sure have seen nothing. Like I said before, Xros Wars is so firetrucking horrible in edits they are doing worse than 4Kids and beyond.

Okay. So, now that I'm finally starting to read the Dragon Ball Z manga, I've decided I might as well join in the discussion... Although I have no clue how to join in. ._. Soo... Yeah. I've read through volume 3 so far, and I'm about to start the Goku vs Vegeta battle. The actual series is definitely way better than the Abridged one. Of course, this one actually has more action, which is what I like in anime/manga, so... Makes sense.

 

Also, just because I can say this, Vegeta's my favorite character.
