How do you get yourself to not spoil yourself on certain things?

I've always had a bad habit of spoiling myself on important stuff with video games and movies. Im starting to break that habit, but still, its pretty bad for me.

 

The reason im making this is to ask you guys how you occupy yourselves and get yourselves not to spoil yourself on certain things. Wow i said yourself alot of times. Since Lightning Returns is coming out in November for Japan and February for U.S., i dont think i can hold myself to not spoil myself on what happens. If it was like XIII-2 where it was one month difference release in Japan and U.S. i could wait, but 3 firetruckING MONTHS!! Im gonna be antsy over that for weeks on end. I was wondering what kinda techniques you guys use to stop yourself from spoiling games and movies for you.

Stay away from gaming websites and don't read youtube comments on trailers for games.

I have a lot of trouble with this too. Just avoid any source that could potentially spoil it. For example, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND not looking up Youtube videos of a game that you don't want spoiled. You could get spoiled in the related videos, or in the comments. That's how I spoil myself a lot. Not sure what I'll do with KHIII though, since being on a KH fansite, I'm bound to get spoiled at some point. ._.

It really is, I did that when I was waiting for the 7th Potter book (I waited till it was translated to my own language before reading it). But I also get it if not going to internet doesn't seem like an option.. I kinda feel like I can't do that with KH3 since I use internet much more these days than I did back then.

 

But if it's like you do spoil yourself on purpose I guess you should just remember than you don't want to get spoiled and how much more you're going to enjoy of the game (or other thing) if you don't know everything beforehand.
