This has been bugging me for a while, if Marluxia was defeated at Castle Oblivion, and when a person loses their heart and a nobody is formed doesnt that person for a lack of better words disappear? If so how did Roxas know Marluxia? Sora was put to sleep but Roxas had already been found? Gah please someone help me...

Marluxia and the others didn't get sent to Castle Oblivion until after Roxas awoke.  They even went on a mission together.  So there.

The answer is chronology.

Marluxia helped Roxas lean the ropes of the Organization. Remember, Roxas was created during Kingdom Hearts One after Sora sacrificed himself to free Kairi's heart. You got the time from that moment, until Sora gets to Castle Oblivion. Which, seeing the games and the times, was easily what. Two, maybe three weeks?

Basically a combination of what everybody above said. spoilers** At the very end of KH 1 as you may or may not know, Sora was turned into a heartless, consequentially creating a Nobody, Roxas. KH 358/2 Days begins right after Sora gets turned into a heartless and begins with the player playing as Roxas, still between KH1 and CoM. In the first few missions you play as Roxas getting mentored by each member that leaves for Castle Oblivion in CoM, and Marlexia is inevitably one of the tutors before he ventures off for Castle Oblivion not too lOng afterwards. So this pretty much sums it all up. Hope it helps

I have no idea, it's not like Roxas was part of the same organization and Marluxia and probably met up with him a few times before he went off to Castle Oblivion. That'd be redonkulous.

He meets Marluxia in one of his missions in days before Marluxia is sent to Castle Oblivion.  The timeline of the games is

KH1

Days (starting when Sora stabbed himself in KH1 so it overlaps there) up until they get sent to CO, then COM takes place at the same time as days, and finishes before the end of Days

If you ever read the 358/2 Days manga or played the game then you'll know. Marluxia was helping Roxas during mission. This was BEFORE Marluxia went to the castle Oblivion. That's why Roxas fell asleep for 14 days because Sora was awake.

Well you know it happens but not through a cutscene. Sometimes, there are little summaries of the Day instead of actual cutscenes.
