Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Gets New Music Arrangements

Posted

Square Enix is rearranging Final Fantasy X’s music along with remastering the game. Jump Magazine announced there will be about 60 songs rearranged by composer Masashi Hamauzu for Final Fantasy X. The magazine didn’t say if songs from Final Fantasy X-2 will be rearranged or if there will be an option to listen to the original music.

Both games in Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will have trophies. Specific trophies weren’t revealed, but the magazine said getting a platinum trophy would be difficult.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is slated for release this year on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

But... I like the music in X. :(

Kingdom Hearts got the same treatment, so I'm not surprised. The original OST was all MIDI, so it's be cool to hear live arrangements.

But... Rearranges are a GOOD thing! :)

YEAH!! I hope this game releases in December or so... too many games coming out this Fall that I want.

Awesome I know it's not much a drastic change, but still cool can't wait to hear some of the difference's of the Remaster version.

1000 no kotoba better not go away.

The Platinum will be hard? Please dont be too hard like certain fighting games platinums.

Hamauzu had no choice since Yoko did it for KH.

Saw this earlier, but yeah it's awesome.

Of course it'll be difficult to Platinum them, it's Square Enix.
