Once the factions of Light and Darkness, back before the great Keyblade war, before the original X-Blade was forged, a war broke out between them, spearheaded by their leaders fought for control of the X-Blade. These leader's names were La-re, of the light, and Razton, of the dark. The war fought between this seven and thirteen, however, tore the world apart. This was the first time the worlds had been turn into shreds of what they were. These shards of the world we all knew, and began to flourish completely separate of each-other. There were no roads connecting them together, and most of the time these shards were so far apart from each-other that the span was mind-boggling. Eventually, these shards grew and grew, becoming expansive universes, each with their own purpose, their own people, dialects and actions developed, and it seemed as though the hardships would be over.

That is, until one day, the Keyblade returned. With it, a group of men in black coats, the ends of the sleeves frayed and body's covered in a purple glow. Crusading through the universes one-by-one, the group has been stealing the light that makes the universes up, filling it with pure darkness, causing them to collapse in on themselves. But of course, with the return of the Keyblade, so is the return of those who fight for the light. But with so many new fighters, and no teachers to show , they must develop their skills from the start, and so, onto becoming a new fighter for the light...

The Sword

"The power of the warrior. Invincible courage. A sword of terrible destruction." Grants the user +2 an automatic Attack and grants more Attack-based ability's if chosen, and if sacrificed will give you -1 Attack, if sacrificed will slow or get rid of some Attack-based ability's through Level-up's you would attain.

The Shield

"The power of the guardian. Kindness to aid friends. A shield to repel all." Grants the user +2 Automatic Defense and grants more Defense-based ability's if chosen, and if sacrificed will give you -1 Defense, if sacrificed will slow or get rid of some Defense-based ability's through Level-up's you would attain.

The Staff

"The power of the mystic. Inner strength. A staff of wonder and ruin." Grants the user +2 Automatic Magic and grants more Magic-based ability's if chosen, and if sacrificed will give you -1 Magic, if sacrificed will slow or get rid of some Magic-based ability's through Level-up's you would attain.

The Spear

"The power of the slayer. Killer-instinct. Deadly Silent and cruel killer." The Cloak

"The power of the druid. Inner Realism. Closed to creative and new ideas." Grants the user +2 Automatic Resistance and grants more Resistance-based ability's if chosen, and if sacrificed will give you -1 Resistance, if sacrificed will slow or get rid of some Resistance-based ability's through Level-up's you would attain.

The Halo

"The power of the believer. Open-minded. Willing to change and adapt, but has trouble staying constant." I really recommend it, it is a lot of fun and the story is pretty good as well, well I really enjoyed it at least, pretty unique just like xenoblade as well.

I rented it a while back, and had a lot of fun with what I was able to play. I definitely intend to get it soon! I'm hoping Nintendo will put it on the Wii U eShop, now that they're doing that with Wii games.

I still gotta get a wiiU, so If they do when I get it i'l be set

Holy crap, I could never get that dedicated with a game. Usually, unless I own it, I don't play very much of it (I only got through the first dungeon/area in TLS before returning it).

 

Have you played the other two Rainfall games? I need to get around to trying Pandora's Tower at some point, too... Xenoblade's the only one I have.

I played Pandora's tower, and I liked it a lot as well (again on my friends house ) I liked the concept and the battle controls, I got the bad ending on my first playthrough...but I got the best one in my second (ended up borrowing my friends wii to play it ).

Oh, alright. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions on Pandora's Tower, but I think it looks really fun. I forgot it had multiple endings. ._.

 

It's definitely a great game. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend playing it!

I will as soon as my friend gets it on his wii, even better if it comes to WiiU because then I will buy the game just to play at his house.

I doubt it will end up coming to Wii U since it's being remade for the New 3DS, but that would be really cool to see. Thankfully, Wii copies aren't nearly as expensive as they were when I got the game, so it might be easier for your friend to find one now.

 

Rainfall actually isn't a series, it was just a fan campaign to bring three Wii RPGs to North America (If I remember correctly, Europe already had them, but Rainfall might have also been intended for Europe. I remember they got Xenoblade before NA did, which is why I think Rainfall was for North America). Some people call them the Rainfall games since they're what fans tried to bring over through Project Rainfall.

I'm really happy that it was a success. I never would have been able to play my favorite game if it wasn't for Project Rainfall!

 

Xenoblade has amazing battle music. Actually, it just has amazing music in general.

 

(Also, as much as I love talking about this, we might be getting a little too far off topic here. )

Yes, but in echange it grows with its wielder the longer it's used. However, Brandon has (as I recall) Starfell equipped.

you mean its stats level up with him? thats cool!
