My Xion cosplay attempt at Q-Con XX

 

 

 

 

The wig arrived far shorter than the picture the seller posted online. :wacko:

And I spent so much time on the Keyblade that the coat was thrown together last minute...

That's pretty legit!  

The wig looks fine to me, and the coat looks great for last second work.  Did you buy an old coat and fix it up or something? I didn't even notice the hood at first because it fit together so well overall.

 

And may I have that keyblade?

The coat is just an old one from a charity shop. I did nothing except replace the buttons down the front with velcro on the inside. It would've been nice if I had a zip

FAIL. Lol jk, pretty good cosplay, but the only things that get me EVERYTIME about cosplay is it pisses me off when you don't look EXACTLY the same But you did a pretty good job

I had a bit of the opposite problem; I spent ages on the coat and kinda threw the keyblade together at last minute... Oh well, there's always next con! Maybe someday I'll see you at one (although considering the geographical difference I doubt it)!

You are SO PRETTY. I totally understand, which is why when I buy wigs online I always get the ones that are longer so if I need to, I can cut it myself. But yours actually looks good, I remember wen I ordered a wig that was supposed to reach my shoulders, it ended up barely making it to my chin!

 

And by the way that Keyblade is *perfect*.

Not all cosplays look the same. Some people buy them, others make their own to the best of their ability. The best part about conventions is that people take pride in their costumes, whether they bought it or made it from scratch. And the basic point is to have fun and hang out/make new friends. I know everyone's entitled to their own opinion but saying it pisses you off is a little extreme c:

Yes, saying that it pisses me off is a little extreme I agree and I think she did an excellent job especially on the keyblade (I have never once made a successful Keyblade) but I'm always looking for the problems with things I guess.

Lol okay. If you ever have/do go to conventions though, please just don't be that one asshole who walks up to random people and tells them every little thing that's wrong with their outfit. I've seen people do that and it's just incredibly rude.

I would never do that! I find it awesome that people enjoy making their own costumes, and seeing something wrong with it is COMPLETELY different than TELLING the person what you think.

I for one, totally agrees that this cosplay is one of the greatest things I've ever seen, Besides the Akatsuki's signature look, the Heartless order also has it's angst. I'm looking forward to buy this costume on http://www.cosplaysushi.com if they have a customized order!
