Does anyone PAINT there hair black?

Posted

Alright, if anyone has seen the music video for Knives And Pens by, Black Veil Brides, I cant help to notice that in the beginning with the two bickering old people one of them mentioning young people PAINTING there hair black. Now im sorry, but this bothers me for some reason, i mean, do you know anyone actually paints there hair black? If I were to change the color of my hair, I would Dye it, not paint it. I dunno, maybe some people do paint there hair. This was a joke most likely, but this just seems to bother me.

Sounds like they used paint as a metaphor for old people not understanding how times have changed, dying our hair wasn't something that was a familiar in the 60-70's time.

Used to be somewhat emo before so yeah i did used to paint my hair.

I paint my hair black to represent the darkness in the world consuming my soooouuul. It also represents my emotionally devoid mindset, where I just think of death and cool names for my emo-punk-deathmetal band, Serious Dark Leviathan Evil Shit, duuude.

I think you should not take things so seriously...

I was about to correct you before reading the post that you dye your hair black not paint it. xD

It really depends on the context of the music video, but I really think no one would paint their hair black unless they don't have access to black dye.

It's a music video, or art. I don't think painting the hair was meant to be taken literally, rather as a symbol for something else.

I want to paint to blue, but just few locks.

My parents against:why not to blonde----

The black dye isn't  symbol-is just a style.

Somebody follows that, somebody not.

chose.

uhh i was just about to tell you that maybe its another way to say dyeing your hair, but after reading the other replies i dont know anymore o.o

My hair is already jet black.

Posers.

They probably meant Paint as in Dye.  You can get hair paints you brush into your hair to change the colour and then wash it out later.  Only light haired people like blondes can really do it, someone tried to put red hair paint in my hair (naturally black) to see if I'd suit red and he used a whole tub  of the paint and it didn't show at all cause my hairs so dark.  On blonde it works.  My mother also bleached her hair when she was younger (she was grunge/punk) and she used food colouring to colour the tips of her hair daily to match whatever colours she was wearing.
