Dawnbreak City, 4th Universe.

"It's a bright day in Freedom City, peace, property, and a good shoreline and beach attracts tourist, so the town has prospered, despite being built into a valley. The natural sights, friendly service, and quiet atmosphere of this town is why it's a big reason it's popular among vacation spots. Suddenly, in a flash, the city disappears, and in-junction to it, a man in a black coat has appeared. The leader of this free world approached the coated man, asked for what he wanted, and his response was violent. He stabbed the leader of our world in the chest with an odd-shaped concealed sword of some kind, as well as took his lucky charm, a stone in the shape of a ring. We now go to you live with a leading commander in our world's army." The T.V. news reporter had said, the world in crisis.

"We, as of now are preparing an assault on the man..." A commanding officer started, but he was quickly impaled by the black-coated man, who took the microphone, the commanding officer's body fading away as he did this. A deep voice overcame the speakers of all who were listing in, yes, even you, young viewer. As these events unfolded, the rest of the world strapped the T.V. to their heads to see the results.

"We mean of you no harm..." he deep voice echoed. "We just want the heart of your world. Give up the Tirain to us, you will be spared."

As these words are spread, around the world, people wondered "What are the Tirain?" The words whispered so often it was more like an uproar, which lasted all of ten minutes.

"Fine. You've had enough time to try and notify me or give me it directly." The voice of the man, though deep, boomed throughout the world. The camera-bot moved back as the man raised his hand and hell broke loose.

The sky's darkened as the shadows of the world darkened.

"The door to this world has been opened. Prepare for the heart of your world to be consumed by all things dark!" the man dissipated into a black hole, which strange, black creatures with Antenna and yellow eyes erupted from. The camera bot was destroyed in the zurg rush of these black creatures.

In a manner of hours, the world is in chaos. These black creatures chase around, then seem to steal the heart of someone who they kill, and no form of attack can seem to deal damage. You're not willing to accept this, though, and go out to fight the darkness-born creatures yourself, and fall because you, too could not hurt them.

But that dose not mean you've given up, dose it?

Station of Awakening

Do you fear the darkness? Don't. If you fear it, it shall consume you hole. Now, open your eyes.

MISSION:
Open your eyes! Explore the Station of Awakening! Remember, the Station is a visual form of your heart!

Fiora walked into another large room. She had a short amount of time to look around until... they arrived. The creatures that attacked her home. She reached for her knife, but remembered what happened last time. It won't work... It will only phase through them. Suddenly, the halo above her head disappeared, reappearing in her hand. "Do I use this...?" She asked aloud, then threw it at one of the creatures hoping it would work. Sure enough, it sliced through it, destroying it. Fiora was amazed that she'd actually taken one down... So amazed that she didn't notice the other creature leap in front of her, preparing to attack her.

However, just in time, the halo sliced back through it and returned to its owner's hand. "There we go... Take this!" She tossed it again at two that were next to each other, managing to rip through both. As another one was running towards her, she jumped up, grabbed the halo again, and tossed it straight down at the one that attempted to attack her. She landed again, looking around at the remaining monsters. "These are Heartless...?" She asked again, preparing to defend herself even more.

Two Shadows' leaped up and attacked, and two swiped at you from below. 3 HP left! Two have sunk into the ground.

Ovan:  After walking through the door, I found myself in some sort of cavern.  I looked down on the platform, seeing more of myself.  I look up and see in the distance some towers.  Before I could do anything, some creatures were starting to form from the ground.  Wait, these were the same ones I saw on the news!  I heard the voice again and thought:  Heartless?  Is that what these monsters are called?

Backing up, I thought:  Fighting with my bare fists won't do anything, seeing how ordinary weapons couldn't cut it in the news.  Suddenly, a shield appeared in my right hand.  It was the same one I picked in the first room.  Confused, I thought:  What, am I supposed to fight the heartless with this?  Well I'll give it a shot.  I run to a heartless and rammed into it.  It looks like the shield works as the monster faded away.  Confident, I bash on the head of one, chopped down on another, and threw it like a boomerang to two other.  I grabbed it and stood ready for more.

Detock:  Upon entering the door, I found myself in a caver of sorts, with towers in the distance.  I looked down to see the platform with multiple versions of me in black and white.  Then monsters began crawling from the ground up.  These appeared to be the same creatures on the news broadcast.  I heard the voice from before and thought:  So these creatures are called heartless.  Hm.

As the heartless were coming closer to me, a staff appeared in my right hand.  It was the exact one I chose before arriving here.  Examining it, I thought:  Things keep getting interesting.  Hm, I wonder if I can use magic.  I point the staff towards the heartless, but nothing occurred.

Looking at the staff again, I thought:  Doesn't appear that I can.  The only thing to do is smack these creatures upside the head with this.  I dashed towards them, swinging the staff down on one, horizontally "slashing" two, thrusting one in front and behind me.

They seek those strongest of the heart, but those who's strength of heart is the mighty and powerful wield the key to their demise. But now, you must fight and show you, too, have the power to wield the key." Reika heard the voice once more, staring at the "Heartless".

She started backing up, and gripped onto the cloak. She observed the sharp edge, and the second one came to her side, she swung it. After a couple of swings, she had defeated two.

"This is going to take me forever!" She gave her short complaint, defeating another heartless.

In her frustration, Reika cut down another.

Demarion took a wary step back as the mob of Heartless surrounded him, but there were some behind him as well. He'd seen them before and knew what they were, but had never faced any.

Much to his confusion, the scythe materialised in his hand as if willing him to use it. His eyes narrowed as he gazed around at the creatures inching closer towards him, before he lashed out with the scythe and tore the blade through three of them in one swing.

Tutorial: Items

Normally, Mob events do not include the mob doing damage to you, but as you lack the skills to evade the massive rushes yet, you've taken damage in this battle. Don't think this is a bad thing, though! You're a new fighter. You'll take a few hits from time to-time, but some of you got pretty badly hit. To use a potion, just explain in the post you would like to use your Potion, but remember, you have only one right now, so if you need it later, you can't use it! You can use a healing item on someone during a Mob if you are in the same group, in a similar manner, you just describe in your post which teammate you wish to heal. As you are all on your own right now, though... Good luck!

Monsters, everywhere.

Black, bi-pedal ant-like creatures scurried around the area. Silvia's heart filled with a sick dark rage. Almost immediately upon seeing these creatures did she hate them. It was as if they were born to be feared and hated.

Heartless. Came a word in her mind. Silvia winced when more flooded her mind:

Heartless... Heartless... Creatures of the dark and hungry for the light. They seek those strongest of the heart, but those who's strength of heart is the mighty and powerful wield the key to their demise. But now, you must fight and show you, too, have the power to wield the key.

"S-So...that's what they are." She whispered, staring at them all. The collective hiss they made wracked her nerves. She sighed, clearing her mind of the pressing anger. She wanted to wipe them all out. And the answer came to her. A blade appeared in her palm, a light, balanced weapon that looked similar to the one on the pedestal from earlier.

"This'll do." She muttered, swinging it around as she lunged forth, slashing two as she went, and attempting to down three more with another couple swipes.

Ovan:  I backed up and threw my shield at the three heartless that attacked me.  With it appearing again in my hand, I thought:  Who knew these things can bring some hurt.  Better watch out for anything.  I knock one heartless away and cut down the body of another.  I back up to get some breathing room.

Detock:  I jumped back after being leaped by some heartless.  Surprised, I think:  Hm.  These creatures are stronger than I assumed.  They managed to injure me.  But there is no way I will fall to the likes of these mindless clods!  I hold my staff tightly, swinging below one heartless.  I thrust into another, swiped down two, and pounce on one more.  I jumped back to put some distance between myself and the heartless.

Demarion cursed in a hiss as he got injured by the Heartless. May as well use this now, or I probably won't get the chance to... He quickly downed the Potion, then swung his scythe through another three. He narrowly avoided getting slashed at by one of them, but stuck his arm out and stabbed the scythe right through the Heartless.

A fifth tried to jump him from behind, but he turned around just in time to hit it in midair.

"Where are you now,

I ask myself.

Are we walking the same path,

Or are we living different lives?"

Falling….

I felt like I was falling, with no end in sight. My eyelids were as heavy as lead, but I forced them open, slowly. Everything was blurry for a few seconds. When things cleared, I realized I really was falling. Just upside down.

Shadow waters…

I was receding like a bullet through what felt like the ocean, slow, inconspicuous. There was no blue in the water I fell through, just shadows and the occasional wisp of light. It didn’t even cross my mind that when I hit the bottom-if there even was a bottom-my head would receive severe trauma.

‘Didn’t even cross my wandering mind.

I just lay there, letting gravity or whatever it was pull me downward. It was pleasant, almost, as if I felt entirely safe for the first time in my life. And then suddenly, the pleasantries ended. I was gently righted by some invisible force, turned so that my feet hit ground. I looked around, warily. Side to side at first, and when I saw nothing but more shadow water, I looked down.

I was standing on nothing.

The watery darkness was all around. Even below my feet. I took a hesitant step forward, and felt my heart jump in surprise as thousands of white birds erupted from the floor below me. The umber shadows melted away as each bird took some of the dark covering with it as it flew. Light seeped from under my feet, and I looked down as the mosaic of birds and feathers and light came together as a blinding whole.

I was no longer residing in darkness.

I was standing on a stained-glass image of a towering tree with a luscious head of leaves and long, strong branches protruding from either side of the tree each with a name carved into them. My family's names. The picture of the tree took up most of the oval, stained-glass plateau I stood on. I watched as the birds vanished into the walls of the deep water, I watched as they lost their purity against the endless sucking void that served as a boundary in this still place.

Whatever thoughts I might have had about the mysterious birds was put to an end as the floor below me glowed. I got a better look at the picture depicted on it this time, and saw that under the tree's caring shade were two people, one boy and one girl, laying there holding hands. Just above their peaceful sleeping faces was a heart carved into the trunk of the tree with two names centered in it. My name, and hers.

WE WERE EXPECTING YOU-

Surrounding the platform I was on, long winding roads sprouted from the darkness, stained glass platforms striving to touch the tower I was standing on, but not quite managing the feat. They instead hovered around its frame, as if uncertainty had taken them over. Blocking the way were small pedestals, each a searing, tranquil blue.

THE COLOR OF YOUR EYES-

It was then I heard the voice. It echoed across to me, coming from a nowhere that was only present when one was alone. The voice was wordless, but I knew what it said. It emitted the sounds of nothing, but then again, so did I. In soundless harmony, we understood each other.

"Your heart chooses the path..."

I walked forward, towards the pedestals. It was then I liften my hand from my side. My hands glowed, and the brightness shaped itself into a long staff with a blade-like protrusion. My fingers closed around a grip, and the light receded to reveal a weapon. First glance told me that it was a scythe, in total the weapon was as tall as long as I was tall, and hung in my hands limply. Without even a second thought I took a few steps over to another pedestal, this time feeling no tingling but instead watched on as the robe item before me shattered into light fragments and vanished.

The roads began to vanish, receding back to the darkness that surrounded the platform. The darkness in this place didn´t seem so scary, almost comforting. A single road lay before me, naturally I walked down this path - into the darkness. It seemed like hours of walking until I finally spotted another glass platform, this one portraying a shattered heart into three distinct pieces. There, on each of the three shattered pieces stood a figure. It was the same figure, in three different places - it was my figure.

They spoke to me, only no sound came out. Only the movement of their lips told me they were saying something, yet I was able to understand them perfectly.

"What are you most afraid of?

What do you want most out of life?

What is most important to you?"

I never knew just how menacing my own face could be until my own icy blue eyes pierced through me like a knife, these questions were something he never thought about extensively, yet the answers came to me almost immediately.

I'm afraid of losing my loved ones.

I want happiness above all else.

I value the love I share with those closest to me above all else.

The figures seemed satisfied and scampered off, fading into the darkness. Save for one. He hadn't turned to me at all since I arrived on this platform, but I already knew I was only going to be met with my own face. I was right. The blue eyes I was so familiar with stared at me with a cold stare that spoke volumes - had I really been through that much? Just then the figure before me smiled, I never knew if I would ever be able to do that again.

The phantom version of myself sauntered off just like the first two, slowly vanishing into the darkness. Only this one left a path in its wake, guarded by a looming door. It was one of those fancy wooden doors with embelished handles that seemed like it weighed tons.

”Wielder….of light.

Do you seek the door?”

I had no idea what this voice was talking about. I was about to say that, when something in the back of my head silenced me and spoke for me to the mysterious voiceless person. IT knew what the door to the light was. IT knew what to say. The other voice seemed to almost nod in acceptance.

”…good. Now step forward, Seeker, into the light.”

As soon as the voice said this, a cone of white brilliance piereced through the dark water and fell on the platform. It illuminated the world around me and vanished, leaving me in a new location. A cavern with several stained glass platforms in the distance, the one I stood on depicted myself facing a darkned mirror version of myself.

And suddenly, breaking through the calm with no warning….something came.

There was suddenly a malicious presence all around me. Creatures rose up from the floor, a dark black with shining yellow eyes like bulbs in the darkness. They had slender necks that held up their round heads. They walked on two feet, backs as straight as their arms pressed to their sides. They didn’t walk normally, they pushed themselves forward and slid on their plank-like feet. With automatic, riggid movements, they circled in around me, bulbous eyes greedy.

Shadow-like creatures that showed no emotion, even in their actions.

”Fight….”

The voice demanded.

I looked around, over my shoulder, and found that there were a total of five shadow beings. The first to reach me was struck down as I swung the scythe i held over my shoulder and brought it down on the creature’s head. The thing was stunned for a few seconds, and I took the opportunity to bring the blade up underneath it, knocking it into the air.

The other beings shrank back as I jumped in the air and smacked the single one back down to the floor. It wavered for a moment, and then melted into a dark puddle, evaporating in a string of white stars as quickly as it had melted.

I panted. This fighting business was difficult. I hadn’t raised a hand to harm someone since I was arrested. Instinct told me to bash the thing over the head as fast as I could so that it couldn’t strike back against me.

The four remaining shadow things ganged up on me. One slid stealthily around behind me while the other openly charged. I held up the scythe with both hands and stopped the head-butting assault with the blade, pushing backwards so that the creature lost its balance. I saw my opening and struck it over the head until it melted and evaporated.

I had forgotten about the other creature until it teleported before my eyes in a flash. I blinked and swung, my heart beating rapidly. My attack landed and melted one of the creatures away.

Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw the two remaining things begin to charge up for a head butt, but I told myself I’d be ready. My hands gripped the Scythe tightly, and I spread my legs apart, waiting until the beings got close enough to hit. In a single wide swing, the blade sliced straight through both creature's chests, the pieces of the creatures melted away and evaporated in a string of stars. I had won.

That's when puddles of dark violet liquid materialized, and from them even more shadow creatures crawled out...

Fiora looked around at the remaining Heartless. "There's no way I can take all of these on by myself..." She muttered. Two Heartless leaped at her from both sides, but she countered by leaping up into the air, and tossing the halo down at them. When she landed, she tossed it at another Heartless that was approaching her. She rolled out of the way of another that was coming towards her, and tossed it through that one, causing it to hit one behind it. "I'm not sure how much longer I can keep this up..." She was already exhausted. She'd never fought like this before.

Three Shadows' sank into the ground!

(Is the item usage like KH1 where you have to keep equipping items to use them?)

Ovan:  This fight with the heartless sure is taking a while.  I swung left to wipe out one.  I jumped over one that tried to tackle me and bashed behind it.  I slammed down on one and "slashed" to another on my right side.  I ran and rammed one more heartless before moving back.

Detock:  The duration of this battle is starting to be quite a bore.  I know these heartless were stronger than anticipated, but ....it can't be helped.  I need to destroy these creatures to get out of this location.  I lunged on two heartless and stabbed one other.  I thrust into another and smacked down on one more.  I viewed around and saw five left.  I tightened my grip on the wand, ready to be rid of these annoyances.

The newly spawned shadows teleported before my eyes and I instinctively swung the scythe. My attack missed by inches, and one of the beings rammed me in the stomach with it’s sledge-like head, my ribcage screaming in protest as I staggered.

My hands lifted the scythe over my head and brought it down with force, obliterating the shadow before me. My eyes locked onto my next target and I swung. As if knowing I was ready for it, the being disappeared, though this time, I could see the trail of darkness its body had left. It had flattened itself onto the ground beneath me. The darkness slithered its way over to me, like a paper thin snake, and I focused on the shadow. With three solid swings, I dispatched of it as soon as it lifted itself off the ground, quickly shifting over to a third shadow and slicing through its bulbous head as i watched the creature burst.

The sweat forming upon my brow, this fight was beginning to take its toll on me. Two more shadows erupted forth and i fended them off with the length of the scythe. Using my strength i pushed them away and as they staggered there and sliced through them with successive blows.

Victory swelling in my chest for merely a moment before it was replaced with terror. There were more.

Good luck!

Reika stumbled back, weaving the cloak the defeat the two shadows about to strike down on her. She looked on the ground. Seven shadows...and they were sunk into the ground?!

"Gyaa!! What to do what to do?!!" she thought, looking around, she basically kept trying to get away from them until the sprung out from the ground and attacked. Once she had defeated three that were sunk into the ground, she looked around. Still plenty of heartless....great.

Woah woah woah, what? xD That was my second post regarding the Heartless; there should be 9 left for him now. :P He got three down in an earlier post.

Demarion was begining to get tired. They weren't overly powerful creatures, but the number of them made up for it. They came at him in waves as he steadied himself, slashing at another 3 as they dived at him head-first. Another two tackled him to the floor, but he managed to kick them off him and slice the scythe through their necks.

20-3=17 17-5= 12

Yes but then you said 3 sank into the ground? Doesn't that mean gone, or just not able to hit them?

Yes but then you said 3 sank into the ground? Doesn't that mean gone, or just not able to hit them?

Just unable to hit them.

Kyle crossed the door to find a new place. A kinda cave like. Then...

"The door!"

When he crossed the line, the path that he crossed just a few moments ago vanished, leaving no trace of the door anymore...

" Now how can I leave? ... he thought for a moment... then... a strange noise came around.

"Who is there!?" He said while grabbing the spear, ready to attack, then from the stained floor, strange shadows began to appear....

"This things again?!" HE said as he began to remember... the moments before he appeared on that place... his homeland... and that moment when the dark covered all.

Kyle ran towards the creatures, moving his spear, he hit 2 creatures, launching them in the air before landing and crashing on the floor. He moved quickly as he could,

after all this time, he was facing them.... the last time his bow didn´t work but this time...

"Take this!" He keep saying while moving and attacking the creatures.

Silvia backed up. The shadows did a number on her, and she did barely anything on them.

"Freakin' monsters." She growled, raising her weapon at the nearest one. "I'm not dying here! I'm finding out where the hell I am." She said, swinging once at the single shadow. She didn't stop, slashing at this shadow until she turned to one behind her, and madly slashed at it.

"Come on! I'll destroy every last one of you!"

{You didn't change Demarion's 'Number Left' from last time (12). He got rid of 5 in the last post. :)}

Demarion wearily took down another two as they leapt at him, seriously worn out by this point as they were coming at him from all directions. One tackled him down from behind so he rolled over to knock it off his back, slicing it as he stumbled back up into position. Two dived at him head-on; he caught one in midair and dodged out of the way of the second, turning around and stabbing it before it could attempt to strike again.

Oops... Sorry, I was just trying to update, I will fix.

Ovan:  There were just five heartless less.  I know I can beat them without any doubt.  After beating that last one, I felt like I was stronger.  Not concentrating on it, I charged at one of the monsters.  Then I "slashed" down on another, spin towards two, jumped and crashed down on the last one.  I sighed and thought:  That's the last of them.  Now what happens next?

Detock:  I run to the remaining heartless.  I twirl the staff before swiping right, slashing left, vertically up, swiping down, and thrusting through.  I look back and watch the heartless fade away.  Relaxing a bit, I think:  Now with that over, time to move on.

Fiora slashed through another Heartless, going clean through it. She panted. I can't keep this up for must longer... She barely dodged the claws of one, but another got her in the back. She fell over. I can't die... Not like this... She pushed herself back up, and took out the two Heartless who had just attacked her. Another one jumped to her, which she blocked with her halo. She then threw the halo at it from directly in front, killing it, and lodging the halo in the floor. She picked it up and rolled out of the way of another attack, which she countered by swiping at it with the halo in hand. They're almost all gone... I might make it... She told herself, lifting her spirits a little bit.

  • 3 weeks later...

(I will attempt to get this back up and running soon... After my arms are less tired and my body less hungry)
