A lot of people are speculating several theories, such as Gamestop purposely holding onto the original print so they could sell it for higher when the price ballooned up, or that Nintendo reprinted the game but Gamestop is selling it at used so they can sell it for $90, which wouldn't be the first time they used that tactic.
They have also confirmed that some games like the Metroid Prime Trilogy set will be making a return as well, but if it's going to be priced competitively as well has yet to be seen.
