NOTE:Before you say I'm an Xbox Fanboy....I'M NOT....I'm just speaking of my concerns about the collection

I seriously wanna know,if Toriyama wants more people to experience his works and if he want to make X-3 based on the collection's success, why is the collection exclusive to Ps3 and VITA????? I don't get it

The games can fit easily into an Xbox 360 disc just like other HD collections

I know X and X-2 were Ps2 exclusvie back then, but if they really wanna more people to experience them as they say, then why Square Enix can't make a 360 version of it???

Featured Replies

That's a good question. The only probable difference would be that they would be on two different discs.

Cuz 360 is gay lol yolo

I'm so sorry

Did they even announce x-3? Should I be shitting the bricks?

Most likely, because it'll be harder to port over. Different hardware between the 360 and the PS3, unlike the PS4 and Xbox1 where they both DirectX11(Damn it I forgot the name) which makes the next gen like FF-XV, and KH3 easier to port over.

Nomura doesnt seem to have any love for the 360, and as a result very few square games ever make it to the 360. Its a pity really, i mean it would be nice if everygame could be multi platform. Sometimes i wonder why square dont multiport more, its frustrating.

Because the original was Sony exclusive.

Edit: Maybe it's like KH 1.5 where they had a deal with Sony to make the collection PS exclusive. Or Maybe Microsoft didn't even want it. How did the 360 version if XIII-2 sell compared to the PS3 version? If it didn't do as well maybe MS didn't see the value in it.

Nomura has nothing to do with X except the character design

It's Toriyama who's in charge of the X and XIII series

Because the original was Sony exclusive.

So does MGS 3 and a couple of Silent Hill games

And all of those came to the 360 too

so exclusivity is no longer a valuable reason

ah sorry my mistake. Still would be nice to see multiport though. 1.5 should have made it too 360 too :/

Exactly

I'm still baffled how they made 1.5 a Ps3 exclusive despite KH3 being a multiplatform game

How are they expecting that Xbox One owners, who most of them might be new to the series, would figure out everything that happened before without playing the previous games???

I believe it is a because some FF games like X were bond to Sony due to contract that they were to be made for PS. However, since the game is almost the same the contract still applies to that game.

Basically, X was bound by contract to be put on the PS due to a contract with Sony.

Exactly

By buying a PS3 and buying the HD collection? :P

But in all seriousness I agree with you. I really think that KH 1.5 should have been for both the PS3 and Xbox 360. Especially now that KH3 is coming to the new gen Playstation and Microsoft consoles.

Square Enix don't like Xbox.

Also, the games were originally on the PS2.

and MGS3 and silent hill games were Ps2 exclusive, but they came to the Xbox 360 with the collection

So not having X and X-2 on Xbox 360 doesn't make any sense.

Speaking of that,if Square is gonna introduce the KH series to Xbox owners with KH3,why the 1.5 collection is a Ps3 exclusive???

Do they expect every Xbox One owner to have a pre-knowledge of the series right from the get go???

Exactly

The only explanation I have for X/X-2 or KH 1.5 not coming to the 360 would be the same reason why the first Mass Effect was having issues getting ported to the PS3. (Microsoft had rights to the title and were pulling strings) Sony may own some rights to one of the titles in the collections and are saying NU-UH! But if that isn't the case it is just idiocy since they are making everything making most of their PS3/360 PS4/XOne titles are multi-plat. It just doesn't add up.

I personally don't mind because I never had an xbox console and I probably never will, but it just doesn't make sense to me.

Sony has ZERO rights of any Final Fantasy game ...yeah it was exclusive but all the rights belong to Square Enix

Wasn't the Mass Effect porting issue caused because of the Ps3 slow beginning back then???

Naw, Microsoft actually helped publish the first Mass Effect, and they were trying to hold onto their cards. I do not know what exactly happened to get it to be ported to the PS3.  The only reason why I brought it up was because who knows if Sony made some sort of contract with Square to give funds for exclusivity of one of the titles or something and now are making a stink about it. Though it is true that is unlikely. But who knows.Though like you I do agree there should be no reason for it not to be multiplat.Edit about the Mass Effect thing: It might have been what you were saying, and what I was saying was just early fan speculation. Or it could have been a combination of both things. I don't truly know.

I think it's combination of the two.

But it's mostly because the Ps3 has very low sales when it came out in it's first year and BioWare didn't want to take any risks so they might chose Microsoft to publish it

Actually,I also heard that the reason FFXIII went multiplatform is because of the slow start of the Ps3

Nomura has nothing to do with X except the character design

Really Toriyama made X? That explains alot.

I think it's combination of the two.

I heard that XIII only went multiplatform because Square was low on money and they thought a multiplatform release would sell better.

I think the real reason that FF X HD and KH HD are PS3 Exclusive, is because everyone hates Xbox 360 in Japan, so obviously sales in Japan would be better if it was PS3 Exclusive alone. They only did it with XIII series because it was brand new and had a chance of making better sales in the U.S. Either way, it wont matter much now, with FF XV and KH3 going on Xbox, now the rest of the series for both of them will become multi platform. :

One does not simply try to figure out Square Enix logic. This has been known for years.
