*Spoiler Warning for KH BBS and KH3D*

 

There's something that I've been wondering lately concerning Roxas. It is already known that Roxas took on Ventus' appearence because Ventus' heart was inside Sora when Sora stabbed himself (thus creating Roxas). However until KH3D I had always assumed that the reason Roxas was able to act as though he had a heart despite being a Nobody was because when Sora turned into a heartless Ventus' heart would have left him just as Kairi's did and found it's way inside Roxas instead. But after playing KH3D and discovering that all Nobodies have the capacity to regrow hearts it's made me wonder: did Roxas really have Ven's heart inside him or did he simply grow his own heart like it's hinted that Axel and Naminé (and Xion) did? Of course it's also possible that Roxas carried Ven's heart but then subsequently grew his own as well (if any of you are Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle fans you'll know where my logic comes from here). Finally, regardless of whether or not Roxas has ever possessed Ven's heart, if he did indeed manage to grow his own then is it possible that he would be able to eventually exist as a complete being separate of both Ventus and Sora? If that is the case then it would, in part, solve the mystery surrounding how both Roxas and Ven can be "saved" in KH3 without their co-existences conflicting. If any of you were able to follow what I just said please share your thoughts

Roxas had Ven's heart ( confirmed by Nomura over and over for years now) and grew his own heart eventually as well as confirmed in DDD. DDD also confirmed it was more than possible to bring Roxas back as his own separate person as well as Xion too

I thought of this and came to the same conclusion as you did. Expect when Roxas awakens he will be a bit drowsy( imagine a part( not rally important anymore) of your heart came off) and challenges Sora yet again expect he won't hold back anymore making it a worthy boss after completing a set of worlds. I guess same will apply to Ventus,Aqua,and Terra about bosses in the game

I feel this to be around where my thoughts are, but Sora did tell Roxas that he was his own person. I think Roxas has grown his own heart and returned Ventus' after Sora absorbed him in KH2.

Sora dual wields bc of Ven's heart so he obviously didn't 'return' his heart yet . Not to mention we saw Ven's heart was still in Sora in DDD when it came to help protect Sora with his armor and responded to things through Sora like that scene with Vanitas and YMX .

I meant that Roxas returned it to Sora when he was absorbed in KH2, but he had grown his own heart by then.

Roxas had his own heart.  Also in chain of memories, sora and roxas both existed simultaneously for a while and I didn't see any negative effects of them both existing. They only had to "combine" because roxas had all of sora's memories because of Namine.  

 

Roxas could easily come back in Kingdom Hearts 3 and I expect him to.

Well actually that's not quite true. When Sora was put into a deep sleep to have his memories restored, Roxas went into a coma for several weeks and then in KH2 Roxas kept blacking out as Sora's memories were restored. You can't really say that isn't a negative side effect. However I do expect him to come back in KH3.  

It's been confirmed by a game guide book that Roxas had vens heart inside of him while he was alive. You have no idea how many times I've thought of this and even though it's only a little chink in the thick book called kingdom hearts, this is my theory.So when sora lost his heart, ven's heart joined with Roxas to make him look like ven. But take note that ven's heart is still broken. Since it's separated with Sora's heart, it's weak. And also take note if you played days that Roxas was 'like a zombie and showed no signs of feeling his first week. I dunno if his zombiness was due to xemnas wiping out his memory or if he just couldn't feel but I'm hoping it's because he couldn't feel. And also notice that after his first mission with axel in TT he had some sort of an attitude and was talking more. That moment is when I think that he started growing his own heart since I think that ven's heart was just sitting there in roxas only affecting his appearance to make him look like ventus. it was still broken after all, and was feeble.I truly want to know and hope that Roxas had his own heart. And I think if Roxas only had ven's heart in side of him and not his own, I don't think he would be able to survive since look at vens state when he still had his broken heart. He was just sleeping. And I think if it was only ventus' heart there, Roxas would just be just the exact same person as ventus and as you and I know, the two are very different and distinct people
