The wind blew softly over the island. Besides the soft swaying of the trees there was little to disturb the idyllic serenity here. The island stretched out for miles, but at the coasts there was nothing to see but water. The island, like the universe in which it existed, was nearly empty, the remnants of life clung, decaying, to its shores and its trees and its fields, but the yells of excitement, of fear, of courage that has once complimented the sound of the wind ha since faded to echoes. Today, however, that changed. Today life returned to the universe. The only question is; what kind of universe would it return to?

"C'mon, get up!"

"All of you, wake up."

"Rise and shine, it's a new day."

Far away voices entered the hazy minds of those sleeping on the island.

Lying on the shore of a short beach was Seraphim Valentine, Derik Absolon, and Samantha Allison, and Rodin Seefull. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

Lying in the middle of an airstrip surrounded by jungle was a different group. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay Alex Dimanche, Ferro al'Vere, and Hazimie Azhar Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four people; Rija Mors, Terry Frost, Henko Tenioenai, Koizumi Onnea, and Rin Nozomi Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an immaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

The far away voices slowly awakened all of these people. The clouds in the blue skies above moved slowly; the morning was upon them. It was time to wake up and find the future...

"Mission...accepted."

Releasing her funnels, they shot to different points and began a righteous beamspam upon the three SA ships. The Wing brought the massive laser gun, and it was charged.

"I am a monument to all your sins."

The Buster Rifle fired once, twice, three times. Each shot's power ripped apart the wing, until the AP was barely intact. The torso was the biggest chunk, but the gun arm, most of one leg, chunks of another, the right wing gone, left cracking and shattering. Water damage had doomed it.

Then the funnels kamikazied into the SA ships, and Wing finally died. It's boosters having not turned off after the recoil was countered, it began to tumble towards the atmosphere...where it probably would not survive.

Each blast would a SA warship, ripping apart the cores that powered everything from lights to the charged beam. That, and the charge limiter was disabled. Sra had literally thrown every ounce of energy into those three shots, and now might die for a third time.

"What in the name of all things good was that?" Derik wondered, the ships being shot to their near destruction point, it was a wonder they hadn't exploded yet. Derik looked around, confused. The shot was fired from behind them, but no one was there that he knew of... Then, a thought. "That was... That was the Wing! It was Sera! He yelled out. "Damn! That was damn-well near wonderful as an entrance..." He yelled out. "Damn. If the Wing could do that... Sera's gonna make it back." Derik thought. "Rodin, don't worry... If she could live through the landing on the planet, she'll live through this..." He muttered, turning the Knightmare around, he had the boosters in both of it and his AP, he pushed Laggen back to the station with the other AP's. The charge current recharged them all to full by that time, though. They landed, and Derik got out of the Knightmare, and rushed into the Elevator. He was just one above Rija, but she needed to know he was alright. Pulling out a energy saw from his small tool kit of a pocket, he cut through the bottom, and leaped in. Grateful for a service latter being near by, he caught onto it ans started to descend down, eventually catching up to the Elevator Rija was in, he opened the service hatch in the top and dropped in.

(Well Crona, I planned on doing that sometime.  Just wondering when to do it.)

Rodin watched as there were multiple attacks on the three SA ships.  He wondered who could've done all that.  Then his eyes shot opened since he figured out who it was.  He thought:  Sera!  She's still alive!  Rodin heard Derik and said:  "Yeah, but I'm going to make sure she lives through it all."  Lagann jumps off the station platform and flies towards the SA ships.  Rodin starts saying:  "This might be a little selfish of me, but I have to go.  Those attacks might not have been enough against the SAs.  I'm not just doing it to make sure Sera is okay, but to ensure everyone else makes it out.  Trust me, I know what I'm doing."

Ferro combed through the folders at lightning speed. 700 folders, 500 folders, 100, 10, 1. . . There it was! The virus, in all its lethal perfection. Ferro suddenly had an appreciation for just how amazing and powerful the virus was. He spent a millisecond admiring it, then grabbed it, and unleashed it. He felt it move through the station, the blast itself outward. And Ferro felt it move through him. Deleting things. Deleting Ferro. All he could do before he ceased to exist was create a small transmission and lodge it in Alex's holo-comm, for him to find later.

And then, 11010101011010101001010011010101011 010111 101101 "Goodbye."

(Taking over for Yuffie, but someone may need to cover for me, should I disappear for a while)

Rija looked at the living, breathing, Derik in wonder for a moment before grabbing onto him and hugging him tightly, she sobbed into his armor and gripped him tight, tight as could be, and he did the same. He leaned down to Rija, and kissed her quickly before pulling her into his arms, and a little off the ground. His arms gripped her tightly as the bear hug he gave his love showed he.was real. Derik placed his love back down and sat on the elevatior floor, his exhaustion evident. "Seraphim is still alive. She somehow managed to get here as well, and she saved me, Rodin, and maybe everyone..." He layed down, arms spread out, his body was barely able to move without the armor on, but he managed well enough. Rija layer down next to him, despite his slight smell, and just relaxed on the floor with him.

"I'm so... So... There is no word to explain how happy I am to see you alive." She nussled him a bit, and Derik carressed her hair a little, difficult as it may be to do on the ground.

"I'm glad you didn't have to use Genesys to remake me!" Derik said, jokingly, and Rija nudged him for it.

"I don't think a clone is nearly as good as the original thing!" She laughed a little. They knew any moment now the SA's would be gone, the adventure would be nearly done, and that they could finally relax in a home they could share. Derik, being the guy to think ahead was starting ideas for a engagement ring and wedding bands for a while after this affair was over and peace was returned. Meanwhile, Rija just sat there in peace, knowing he was still alive and that it was all she needed to know.

"Well crap..." Rytt laughed with more humor than seemed fitting for the situation. The husks of the three ships sat dead in space.

"No, no, no, no! I don't wanna... I don't wanna go..." Veridyan cried out.

"Damn it!" Elaryse was angry, but she all has a hint of acceptance in her voice. "I could have done so much more... Could have made a better world. Damn it, I... I tried my best..."

The virus wove it's way through every subsystem of the SA network. Elaryse searched through the filed to check for a final failsafe. Veridyan scrambled through a variety of firewalls and applied every one, but it didn't work. None of them did. "How could it just end like this?" He was a bit distraught. "It's just gonna end. Hmp." His various cored became corrupted in moments as he finished speaking. "Maybe this is what they would have thought about what we did. Maybe. Sometime not everyone's gonna be happy..."

"Hey..." Rytt sounded sat, but he smiled, or at least he imagined himself smiling at that moment were he a person. "Vergyl I'm sorry. I'm sorry I never told you. I'm sorry I helped them shut you down like that. I woulda done a lot of things differently...." He paused.

Vergyl's comm came through next. "I think we all would have. Rytt. I was happy, though, that you were here. You at least cared. I know you did."

"Thanks bud..." Rytt responded. "Hey... guys." His weapons proficiency core went offline. His historical notes gone. His psychological evaluation portion gone. "I have no way of stopping you from doing whatever you're gonna do with Genesys. But... think about it, at least, please. Think about everything that's happened. All the mistakes made. Make your decision how you see fit from that."

He laughed for the first time in a real way. "It's been fun guys. For some reason I like knowing I won't live forever. I've enjoyed the ride. I hope you guys enjoy the rest of yours."

"Indeed." Vergyl agreed. "I think the galaxy was lucky there were still humans left..."

Then the virus was complete. The SAs, for all their aspirations and ideas and kindness and cruelty, were gone forever.

Then the sound game from Genesys.

"Awaiting input."

The Wing tumbled down into the atmosphere. Sera watched as her scanners told her that the SA had died.

Ferro.

Verydian.

Rytt.

Vergyl.

Elaryse.

"As the Demon sleeps man turns on manHis own blood and madness spread throughout the earthFrom the depths of despair awaken the RazgrizIt's raven wings ablaze with majestic light"

-Warning: hull temperature rising. Integrity dropping.-

"Yeah yeah..." she didn't do anything. She just closed her eyes. Her comm was sheared so...she had no way of contacting Rodin.

Of course, Death decided to take the day off. She opened her eyes as the Wing exited the atmosphere and she ended up tumbling. Firing her thrusters to keep her steady, she did a horrible, crappy, pancake landing...

"Halleluiah. Landed RIGHT in Walt Disney World, Orlando."

She looked at the reading. Wing was destroyed. The torso and cockpit were still intact.

Seraphim Valentine opened the hatch. Snow blasted around the cockpit, some falling in.

Seraphim began to laugh. She just laughed.

"I made it."

Alex gripped the edges of the Genesys machine.

Vergyl is dead.

Rytt is dead.

Ferro is dead.

He sighed, looking at the command console, that, at this moment, only read one line: Awaiting input. A voice came from it too, saying the same line. Alex swallowed. "This is the end." He whispered, smiling. I'm being so melodramatic. I feel as if I'm just stalling. Alex closed his eyes, tapping his mic. "If anyone can here me, because I honestly don't really know who's alive and who isn't...this is Alex." Alex said, pausing, "And...well...thanks. This was fun...as...crazy as this all was." Alex touched the screen of the Genesys, drawing in a deep breath. He exhaled, readying the machine to complete their mission; to bring back everything.

Rodin was flying out far, looking for the Wing and calling out Seraphim.  "Sera!  Seraa!" He shouts, not hearing a reply.  He thinks:  I'm not getting an answer!  Her comm systems must be broken down.  Darn it!  But both he and Lagann looked right and see something in the distance falling to earth.  Rodin quickly thinks:  That thing falling to earth...it has to be the Wing!  Sera, I'm coming!  Rodin sets the thrusters to full blast, going as fast as Lagann could go.  Activating the cooling procedure and moving at the right angle, Rodin prepared for atmospheric re-entry (Sorry if this isn't right. I'm in a bit of a rush.)  When he landed, Rodin checked the tracking system to see where the Wing landed.  He thought:  Darn.  Can't make an exact location.  I just know it's up north.  Opening the hatch, Rodin jumps out of Lagann and was surprised to see snow.  Not concentrating on that, he starts treading north and searches for Seraphim.

((For everyone's information, the Genesys Machine is now asking for Input. It's in the facility on Earth you can get to by the Space elevator from orbit. You guys need to find some sort of consensus on how to use it. You'll have the following options, but feel free to think outside the box as well:

1) Recreate humanity on the previous scale.

2) Recreate humanity on a larger or smaller scale.

3) Create a whole new race of beings.

4) Destroy Genesys and begin anew with the small group you have.

The RP will pretty more or less with whatever choice you make, but it's up to you guys. Good luck!))

The elevator finally made it to the bottom, and Alex was using Genesys. "H-hold on, Alex." Derik mumbled almost sleeply as he removed his armor and stood up. "Let's wait for everyone, Sera is seemingly still alive, Rodin is out grabbing her, they'll be here soon, I'm sure..." He tried walking out of the Elevator, but his body was too tired. Collapsing, Rija grabbed him before he hit the floor and held him up to the best of her ability. She moved herself and Derik over to where Alex was, and laied him down. "Yeah... Maybe... Maybe we should wait for everyone." She said, taking a seat on the floor now as well.

(That's a whole lot of pretty much.)

((I dunno, it doesn't do it all the way, but it's pretty much. That fun moment when you read through something you've written and realized you should have proof read it.))

Sera opened her eyes. Climbing out of the broken Wing, she tumbled down into the snow. She struggled to her feet and finally began to move.

"Too bad...none of the rides are working." She smiled ruefully, then saw Lagann land.

Smiling, she began trekking her way to it's location.

She met Rodin halfway there. Just down main street she saw him approach. Crying out, she sprinted, slipping in the snow but staying up, she slid into his chest, crying.

"I can't believe that worked."

Rodin had looked around an area and didn't see anything.  He was getting a little frustrated for not finding Seraphim yet.  But then he saw her, sprinting towards himself.  Smiling, Rodin runs to her, tripping but getting up along the way.  Meeting Seraphim halfway, he hugs her with joy.  Almost starting to cry, Rodin tells her:  "Sera.  I hoped that you were okay.  I'm so glad I found you."

Awaiting input....

Awaiting input....

Awaiting input....

(C'mon guys, we can't let an MDS RP die! You've got to finish this!)

(I'm waiting on Silver to say something....)

(I'm waiting on Silver to say something....)

(Sorry.)

Alex nodded and stepped away from the console. He looked away, rubbing the back of his head as he sat down. "Yes...perhaps that was a little hot-headed of me to start like that." Alex replied, looking at the other two. He stared at his hand for a long moment, his mind processing how calm everything had suddenly become.

"What are we going to put in? We've got a god-machine in our hands. A literal Deus ex machina. Are we going to bring everyone back...or..?"

"I don't know..." Rija muttered. "I vote to bring humans back, but a little less, if it was so big it collapsed in on itself though..." Rija wasn't too sure what to do. "I do know one thing: We should probably bring Ferro and the others who died back, first, so that we have some other thinkers with us, maybe..."

Sera kissed Rodin first off.

"I'm glad I'm alive too..."

She looked up. "Can...can we go? Go to Genesys...and fix it all?"

Alex's holo-comm suddenly beeped. The data packet Ferro had lodged as his last act had a timer in it, to alert Alex after the virus had run its course. It was ready to be opened now. . .

"Mm?" Alex grunted, glancing at his holo-comm.

Ferro? He thought, his finger hesitantly hovering over the a button to open the file that had been sent. He shrugged, pressing the button and letting the comm load and open the file. He glanced back at the other two in the room, "I'd like to bring them all back, too."

Ferro's voice came through the holo-comm's speaker. It was obviously a recorded message, as it sounded tinny and had some static. "You said you wanted to get to know me. Plug this into a screen." The message stopped, and the holo-comm indicated it would need a screen to so time the message.

Alex stood up and looked around for a screen. There were tons of them in the room; all of them running separate calibrations and other routines. He sighed, going up to the nearest one and eventually found the way to plug his comm in.

"Okay, let's see what Ferro has to say." Alex whispered.
