The wind blew softly over the island. Besides the soft swaying of the trees there was little to disturb the idyllic serenity here. The island stretched out for miles, but at the coasts there was nothing to see but water. The island, like the universe in which it existed, was nearly empty, the remnants of life clung, decaying, to its shores and its trees and its fields, but the yells of excitement, of fear, of courage that has once complimented the sound of the wind ha since faded to echoes. Today, however, that changed. Today life returned to the universe. The only question is; what kind of universe would it return to?

"C'mon, get up!"

"All of you, wake up."

"Rise and shine, it's a new day."

Far away voices entered the hazy minds of those sleeping on the island.

Lying on the shore of a short beach was Seraphim Valentine, Derik Absolon, and Samantha Allison, and Rodin Seefull. The wind blew over them as they lay sprawled over the sand in close proximity to each other. Just as they had been placed. Next to the beach was a mix of jungle and swamp that went deeper into the mainland. Besides that the beach was mostly barren. A wrecked fishing boat was rusted and decaying within walking distance, but nothing more. The waves lapped up on the shore softly...

Lying in the middle of an airstrip surrounded by jungle was a different group. Rusted machine parts lay strewn about, and any sign of activity at the airstrip had long since faded. On the ground in the middle of the airstrip lay Alex Dimanche, Ferro al'Vere, and Hazimie Azhar Two desolate bunkers flanked the airstrip they were on, with a control tower at the end of the strip. Forest flanked the airstrip on all sides, with a single winding road leading out. The wind cut through the trees and sliced past the bunkers onto the airstrip. Only the wind and the trees provided any sound to the desolate military installation...

Deep in the jungle was a pair of rusted jeeps parked next to a crumbling house. The jeeps were long past functioning, and their engines were removed recently as well. The house sat surrounded by the trees with a single road leading somewhere further into the jungle. Inside the house were the four people; Rija Mors, Terry Frost, Henko Tenioenai, Koizumi Onnea, and Rin Nozomi Part of the roof of the house had caved in, and most of the belongings and furniture were gone. Remaining in the house were a few pots and pans, and single picture in an immaculate frame on a table in the room where the four people were laying. Silence pervaded the house...

The far away voices slowly awakened all of these people. The clouds in the blue skies above moved slowly; the morning was upon them. It was time to wake up and find the future...

The screen flickered, then static filled the screen. It finally resolved into just a simple blackness. Ferro's voice came on again, with less static.

"Hey. . .

Going through this has been, well. . . Let's just say it was no walk in the park. I mean, ever since I uploaded myself, I never felt human, really. I just want you to know I support whatever decision you guys make.

And I want you to get to know me, so let's start with this. Maybe a decade before I was frozen, I had found this game. It was really old, made sometime in the twenty-first century. I loved it immediately. I want to share part of it with you. A song. . . I think it's. . .fitting for what we have all been through. It's a little slow at first, but here goes. . ."

After the song had finished playing, Ferro's voice came back.

" 'Now we are cosmic friends forever, okay?' Don't bring me back. I'll see you in the morning. . .when you listen to this again."

Ferro's voice sounded very tired at the end, and static almost overwhelmed the last bit. The static continued for a bit, then the screen went black.

Alex looked down at the ground. He wasn't shaking. He wasn't crying, as much as it hurt.

"Now I really don't know what to do." He muttered, unplugging his comm from the terminal and looking back. He glanced at the Genesys machine, sighing, "You guys figure it out. I...don't think I'll be able to give any viable input."

(Sorry for not putting anything up sooner.  I was knocked out from staying up late.)

Smiling, Rodin replies:  "Yeah, of course.  Hang on."  He lifts up Seraphim and carries her to Lagann.  After bringing her with him to the cockpit, Rodin checked all systems and were good to go.  He turns Lagann on, have the head look up, flip on the thrusters and fires off of Earth.  After a few minutes of space travel and elevator riding, Rodin and Seraphim make it to Genesys with the others around.  Smiling, he says:  "Hey guys, what's up?  Guess who I have with me."

"Rodin! Sera!" Rija cries out. "I'm glad to see ya made it back!" She smiled quite largely, though inside she was trying to figure out what to do. "We just heard Ferro's last words..." She thought. "Derik's out cold right now. He seems drained, so its good for him to sleep, maybe for all of us to sleep and rest." She looked at Derik, his seemingly peaceful slumber made him look so much younger, so much more peaceful that when awake.

In Derik's head, the song Ferro played was peaceful yet sad sounding. "I think that I need to wake up..." He thought. His unconscious body sat up quickly. "Ferro's presence is fading..." He thought. Mentally, he preformed a ritual he knew of that helped the dead pass on peacefully. His physical body also preformed it. His hands formed a few symbols, then muttered a montra, quietly, only people with exceptional hearing heard the incantation. "And let ye soul's rest in a true peace unknown to us in the hands of whatever god or gods you believe in." He said, just barely above a whisper, he then had his body lie back down.

"That was weird... Dose that mean Derik might be a priest of some kind?" She wondered. "Whatever that was... I guess... I guess Derik needed to do it." She said, before lying down next to Derik. "We should rest then decide afterward." Rija said, before she herself fell unconscious.

Seraphim had kinda...made Rodin carry her to Genesys.

"We need to decide soon...I don't want to be this alo e anymore. I'm scared."

((I understand you all being hesitant, but one or more of you will need to step up and try to make a choice. Either by suggesting it to the group or even bypassing everyone and just activating Genesys yourself.))

(I'm just trying to be a little realistic... Ya know, after all that anyone would be tired...)

(I'm not reluctant to have my character make a choice.  I just wanted him to do something he'd like to do before doing something important like that.  Also, just didn't want it to end yet.)

Rodin took a long gaze at the Genesys machine.  Whistling, he says:  "So, this is thing that can create what humanity has tried to do for various years and failed.  It's fancy."  Rodin laughs a little from that last remark.  "On the subject on how many people to bring back, I say just those who don't want to cause the mistakes and horrors of the past.  But, we really wouldn't know who wants what, huh?"

Seraphim stepped up to Genesys.

"With many people comes many ideals, many ways of thinking and doing. Variety in life is important, but not wholly needed. I....I say we remake humanity on Earth. But we need to remove all weapons. All space craft. Restrict outer space until humanity reaches it on it's own."

Sera leaned over the console a bit. "Just Earth. Then we all can leave and make let life go on. Ya'know?"

(Well, I've got something for us all to do after this. Crona knows.)

"Systems engaged." Genesys stated. "Race: Human, specifications known. Range of construction- Earth."

There was a small pause.

"Please Confirm- You wish to develop humanity on the range of the planet of Earth?"

"Genesys. Can you remove all weapons from Earth, as well as spacecraft?" Sera asked. She glanced at the others.

"Start anew. No spaceships. No weapons. Give them bows to hunt...if we're gonna hard reboot....maybe we should start...from scratch. Or start again and give everyone this technology..."

Crossing his arms, Rodin says:  "Well, I don't know how humanity can reach space on its own without building spacecraft.  But, it'd probably be good to start off simple and see where it goes.  But there will have to be decisions/choices.  The kind on how to deal with overpopulation, amounts of food, economic states and etc at some point.

Derik slowly opened one of his eyes very sleepy. The music that played from Ferro's message rang in his ears as he looked around, the hole group was here. If he wasn't dead tired, he would have got up and gave a hug to Sera and the rest. "Hey, guy's..." He muttered. "Sorry I fell asleep on the job, but firing a large beam of energy from a nearly seven-hundred-and-fifty degree cockpit drains ya a bit... Heh..." He chuckled a little, trying to force himself up onto his feet, his body was too exhausted. "Ugh. Waking up from a deep freeze, fighting for my life, getting poisoned, and finding my love takes a lot out of me, I guess."

Rija awoke alongside Derik. She stood, stretched, and laughed a little at Derik. But soon, she approached the Genesys along Rodin and Sera. "Having them start off simple would be a good idea. They would start anew. But we need to make sure they have the capability and knowledge to be able to start a civilization relatively soon. And we are all in agreement that we aren't going to rule over them like gods right? Just let them make their own decisions without our interference. We would only hope that they don't make poor choices like the last generation did." Rija put in. Having the new humans start anew on Earth, with no technology seemed like a good idea to her.

"We should make one change: instill a greater value of other-being worth and ebb away at the greed a bit. Hate caused a lot of death and destruction, same for greed." Derik chimed in with his thoughts.

"If Genesys can do that, I'll do it. But otherwise, we're at a loss." Seraphim typed in the commands.

"If this works...Genesys...think you could rebuild the AP Wing? I..."

She looked at...her friends.

"I can't stay on Earth. My family was here. They all died...If I'm going to die, I want to be out there. And Wing brought me this far - I'd like to go explore the planets with it."

(It finally happened.  I accidently put in a different rp characters' name. :()

"Well I'm not staying on Earth either.  I'm saying this cause not only I want to be with you Sera, but with other reasons.  Like in a lot of shows and anime, I want to travel through the galaxy, find aliens, fight evil and have great adventures.  That's something I always dreamed of doing, but couldn't until now."

"You best know, if yall get in trouble, I'm a comm call away." Derik said in the best fake western voice he could muster. "The wild above isn't for yellerbelly's" Derik barely kept a strait face as he said that, but got serious again. "But all kidding aside... Just hit me up if you ever need some help, or if you just wanna visit."

"You mean, hit us up." Rija said, sidling up to Derik, grinning. "We'll be sticking around Earth right Hun?" Rija asked Derik. Rija felt happy. For the first time since she woke up, the soldier felt safe, like her skills wouldn't be needed any longer. Peace would be nice. Very nice. They might be able to help out the humans to build civilization, and she would spend her lifetime with Derik. What more could go wrong?

"Of course, dear! I'd be dead before I would leave you out!" Derik smiled, turning his head to his beloved. "And of course, we'll look out for the Earth. We need to make sure peace lasts, am I right?"

"I understand.  Of course we'll call."  Rodin says with a thumbs up and smile.  "But the same goes for you guys too.  If you have any problems, we'd be happy to help.  Right Sera?"

Sera nodded.

"Right." She typed in all the commands.

"Genesys. Rebuild Wing, but remove all other weapons, and most technology...send them back to the beginning." She said.

Sera pressed ENTER.

"Well, iffin you'll stay for a few days and recover, you two, that would be a great help to my nervousness." Derik said
