Game you have played with the most amount of detail?

Posted

Mine would have to go to Shadow of the Colossus to this one, I've never seen so much detail been put into one game, the Colossus A.I. is so fine tuned you really feel like a massive beast is  really there from their slow movements to notice you and the way they slowly move towards you just seems so real. I believe it's the 5th or 6th Colossus when you have to hide in these Bunker areas when it steps over it you can see dust fall. The bird type Colossus, you run a lot slower going up it because the wind is pushing against you.

This game has so much detail, I only went over the basics. What game have you played which you feels has the most detail/polish?

Gnome achievement? ._. I don't remember that one. Of course, I still need to finish the game, so that could explain it. xD I hope I can finish it by next week...

I think it was one of the Half-Life 2 Episodes, but you had to carry the gnome from the beginning to a rocket ship somewhere near the end.

Ooh. xD That sounds like fun. There's also the one for episode 1 where you can only use one bullet in the entire game, and it's needed to open a lock. I already have the two episodes bought, I'm just waiting until I finish HL2 to play them.

Ah, I see. The gnome achievement's best saved for another playthrough. You gotta learn the quickest way there, as I believe there was a time limit to get him there.

I'd never try to get them both on one playthrough anyway. xD I want to play through normally my first time for all of them, all challenges come later (By challenges I mean spedruns and those things, I still like to go for all the achievements I can get on my first go.)

The X-Files game was the most detailed I've ever seen, using live actors, continuse video loops to give illusion of life, and realstic, un upstructed exploration.

Yeah, that's usually how I do it. I wanted to get the Speed Run trophy and a couple other easy ones on Beginner in KHFM, but that would ruin the fun of experiencing the title again for me.

Yeah, it doesn't feel right to me if I don't properly enjoy it the way it was intended at first. Of course, I still usually go for the highest difficulty in KH games, because it doesn't feel rewarding to me if I don't. xD

Other than the speed run, I'll probably do everything else on Proud and Normal (since difficulty trophies dun stack... >.>).

Dark Souls. The amount of detail put into the lore is amazing!

This is a really open ended and vague question. The most detailed in terms of visuals? Story? What?
