Have you ever had something that you couldn't make go away? Kinda like a burden....but not really. Like maybe a medical disorder or something. What if was an ability? An "Eye Ability". This is story of a group of kids with these abilities before they leave for summer vacation.

 

The "Eye Abilities":

 

Concealment: (Kurumi Himura)

"Hiding One's Eyes" ability. Can divert perception towards objects and even people within 2 meters of herself/himself and/or her/his surroundings, rendering them invisible. Conversation while being hidden also won't be heard by outsiders. Physical contact, however, breaks the effect, so it isn't useful in very crowded places; as well, if a person outside the 2 meter bubble is familiar with someone being concealed, the power will not be as strong. The ability works more by preventing people from recognizing those being hidden, rather than making them unable to be seen. She has practiced to control her ability perfectly and to not disappear suddenly. If unpracticed, the user could disappear suddenly.

 

Illusion: (Dagon Valefar)

To "Deceive One's Eyes". It can change what people around him see and show them something different, but he/she can only use it on himself/herself, means he/she cannot change appearances of others, etc.

 

Analysis and Animal Communication: (Code "Zed")

"Eye-Stealing" ability, which allows him/her to read information from the target. The user can also speak to animals using his/her eye ability.

 

Paralysis: (Luke)

The "Eye Contact" ability. It allows her/him to temporarily stop the movement of whoever meets the users gaze. It is not as she/her is not able to turn people into stone, but to more "freeze" them for a little while.

 

Captivation: (Yuki Saimin)

Known as "Eye Attention", can draw peoples' attention, regardless of their preferences in tastes or interests.

 

Focusing: (Claude Turner)

"Eye Focusing". It has the power to perceive objects and details that are far away from an aerial view.

 

Awakening: (Gideon Thrath)

Awakening Eyes", gives him/her the ability to remake their body into one that he/she finds to be his "ideal"(NOTHING COMPLETELY OFF THE WALL OR YOU WILL BE THROWN). However, this put a large strain on the users mind, and causes him/her to lose part of their memory. Not complete amnesia.

Those whom posses the abilities are called the "Mekakushi Dan". Even though some who have joined do not posses power.

 

 

 

Rules:

1) The major rule is this; please enjoy yourself.

2) Stick around as much as you can--the more that everyone posts the more the story can advance, so have a good time and don't be afraid to have your character make some strange or interesting decisions, it will only make the RP more interesting. Interact with other people.

3) Don't over do your abilities.

4) Go with the flow. People will make their own choices and the story will encounter a few twists and turns. It's more interesting when characters have to deal with thus twists naturally.

5) General RP Rules apply.

Kurumi has always hate her ability. That second her mother died, nobody seemed to see her until Kurumi actually touched someone. Her ability is why she became a NEET. She uses it not to be seen in her house...even though Concealment is weaker around those who know the person using it. She has only let one person see her, his name is Kuroto...or Kuro. Kuro has lately been traumatized by a woman who calls herself Kana.

 

Kana is like Kurumi....but not. Kana can see Kurumi when Kurumi used her ability. Kana is out to kill her for just having the ability. Kurumi ask herself why sometimes, but can never answer why.

 

School is ending this week, and summer is right around the corner. With this being the last week of School, Kurumi is out and about. Kuro has no choice but to go to school along with others. Little does he know, Kuro goes to school with some people like Kurumi.

 

Today was Tuesday, he sat on a bench outside with several textbooks and some assignments. Kuro was studying for the final exams that were...tomorrow. Using her Concealment, Kurumi sat beside Kuro. What a terrible mistake that was. Kuro imminently moved positions and accidentally hit Kurumi, making her ability vanish until she activates it.

"S-Sorry Kurumi!!" He exclaimed, scooting away from her for a second.

"It's okay Kuro." She responded back.

"You scared me..." Kuro sighed.

"I always scare you." Kurumi said seriously.

"What would you like Kurumi?" He asked, looking at her.

"Come to the Komae Apartments after school gets out. Building three, room 107. That will be out meeting place for the Mekakusuki. The apartment used to be my sisters but she's going to be moved out today around the time school gets out. Once she moves out, the apartment is mine." Kurumi said, handing Kuro a letter.

Kuro wasn't the only one to receive this letter. All of the Mekakusuki Dan got a letter like this.

 

"To: Mekakusuki Dan Member

 

Hello, my name is Kurumi Himura. I am a NEET and am not normal. Why am I not normal? I have an ability. It's called Eye Concealment. It blocks others from seeing me unless someone touches me, or knows me.

 

The reason why you were given this letter is because you might have a similar ability. If you do NOT have an ability, you still must come.

 

In my concealment and stalking of mysterious people, I have discovered that there are other people like us. They just want to ruin us though. They want to kill us.

 

We are going to stop these people.

 

Come to the Komae Apartments after school gets out. Building three, room 107. That will be out meeting place for the Mekakusuki Dan.

Kurumi cleared her throat, looking at Yuki.

"First of all: From what I have seen, I have seen people with: Concealment, like myself. Paralization. Captivation. Focusing. Awakening. Illusion...and Analysis and Animal Communication. All of these people have been using their powers to kill from what I have seen. If you want to prove me wrong, go get yourself killed." Kurumi snapped.

"And how did I know about your powers? I have eyes all over this town. Due to my ability, I may be there....but you won't be able to see me unless someone misses it up. Concealment, Paralyzation, Captivation, Focusing, Awakening, Illusion...and Analysis and Animal Communication. Those are all of the powers I know of." she said seriously.

Kurumi looked at Kuro and Slica.

"Yes, you two do not have power. Kuro knows me. You're here with us now Silca. They know now! Would you like to be killed?" she asked.

"Most everyone here have abilities, yes." Kurumi sighed.

As soon as Gideon asked his question, she glared at him.

"I'm talking about a group! Mekakusuki is what I declare our group to be called!" Kurumi yelled.

Kuro stepped away from Kurumi, a bit frightened.

I wouldn't be able to get out of this either, just walking into this room is enough to get me out of the police... Once they figure that out I won't be able to go back... Plus I would protect my ability and might learn something about it.

"Hm..." Forced huh? I could just sell them out. But...I would get more information...a heavy weight they have me carrying. For now I'll stay...until further notice.

Yuki gave a smug grin. "Well then, my dear Kurumi. If you don't want the Mekakushi Dan dead," a thin kunai knife slipped out of his sleeve and into his hand. "Then why don't we go to work. Kill or be killed is how this seems."

"Don't you dare call me that." Kurumi snapped.

Kuro laughed, looking at Kurumi.

"You are right however." she said with a small smile. 

Kage smiled slightly as she stepped over the body in front of the door. She was enjoying this "game." They had finally gotten the attention of the others, and everything had been proceeding nicely from there. These boring little side jobs were only preliminaries, soon there would be bigger fish to catch... But until then everyone could continue to see her as that quiet girl that sat in the corner and read, never giving input or disagreeing. It was safer that way. She wrote down the events of the last hour and ran from the site. It would be a while before anyone noticed anything was wrong. (Location: building 2 lobby)

"Fine, fine." Yuki replied, stowing his blade. Kurumi was the only female Mekakushi Dan it seemed. Darn. However, Slica... she was completely human. He glanced in her direction. He fired a wink at her in attempt that it was just Kurumi and that his Eye Attention hadn't faded.

(NUU I AM THE ONLY WOMAN WITH AN ABILITY!!! ヽ(≧Д≦)ノ )

 

Kurumi glared at Yuki imminently before crossing her arms.

"Does everyone understand?" she asked.

"I understand~!" Kuro said rather bubbly, a smile on his face.

 

(Kuro can be such a shouta....)

(You forgot Kage... that's ok, Yuki doesn't know her.)

(Kage isn't were they are. They are in building three room 107. Kage is in building 2, lobby.)

(Haha, no. I was talking about you saying you were the only one with an ability... And Kage just left building 2. )

(She did. Kage is an antagonist with an ability so Kage is three times as awesome as Kurumi.)

(Not necessarily if you consider that her only purpose is to try to kill people so far... Seriously Kage, get a life.)

Gideon gave Kurumi an odd look.

"I wasn't asking about us, though the question would have been raised later." He said. "I'm talking about the people you say are after us. Are they in a group, like we are trying to be? Or are we talking about individuals coming after us?"

After what Kurumi said about everyone understanding Luke had some questions but he didn't feel like asking at the moment "I understand Kurumi, So if it's true that others are after us then we should probably get started on our next step, as every moment counts, right?" said Luke being careful not to make Kurumi turn crazy on him.

Kurumi looked at Gideon.

"I have seen them individually. That doesn't mean they could become a group later though." She said seriously.

I kept my thoughts to myself, how will we deal with these people and outsiders to the eye abilities... A lot would have to go into this, all of us or most of us would have to skip school for this. I hope they all have a home or somebody they can go back to...

I was staying quiet for most of the time and then spoke up, "So what are we going to do? And how will we start?" I crossed my arms checking if I could feel my pack on my back. It was still there, Grandpa what should I do...

(To clear up any confusion if anyone walks by the lobby. This is what they might find-

a dripping heart painted onto the window in red, open for speculation. Five dead bodies, one hanging from the ceiling by its foot, one by the door. The security cameras are broken and show no footage of the last two hours, the lights are off and the cabinet in the corner was knocked over, covering the room in stray papers. A window in the back is broken.

? Sorry Neko, this is as PG as I can make things without being boring or diluting Kage's not quite sane character.)

Kurumi turned to Claude.

"We will meet here at 6:00 pm every day after school and at 2:00 pm on weekends. All of you will need a weapon, and if you do not have one, I could easily steal a weapon of your choice. I'm thinking about us first following the ones against of around, and then at the right place and right time, we will attack. We will be using my ability to conceal us. Kana, the one who posses my ability....if she finds me, we have to fight." Kurumi said the last part a bit sadly.

"Wait...this Kana girl...she can see you?" Kuro asked.

"Yes Kuro." Kurumi snapped.

"You are all free to go whenever you are ready." she said.  

Yuki stood, turning hia attention away from Slica. He paused for dramatic effect before speaking. "Where can I find this Kana character?" He asked Kurumi. "If you can supposedly hide from everyone except her, then we'll do her in quickly. The rest will go by a lot easily that way."

--Zed--

Weapons...I have my pistol and knife. I don't think that'll be enough... I do have a Ak-17 and another pistol at home though. I would have to go back and get those for next time.

"We'll then I'll all settled." I said holding the backpack straps this was going to be interesting.

I ignored the hopeless fool in his illusions.

"Do you really think I know where everyone is...?" Kurumi asked, turning to Yuki.

Kuro shook his head even though he wasn't really apart of the conversation.

"I don't think you do Kurumi....." He said a bit quietly.

Yuki sighed and sat back down. This Kurumi had an attitude. "I was just thinking..." He sat up, knocking his chair aside. Whatever, I'll see you all later." He pushed past the other members and exited the room, and soon enough the building. His hands were shoved in his pockets as he walked down the road.

"Well, see you later Kurumi!" Kuro said, running off.

He chased after Yuki, metting up with him.

"Sorry about Kurumi....she can be a bit mean sometimes." He said with a smile.

Gideon listened to and thought about what Kurumi said. Important points he jotted down in his notebook. As others started going out, Gideon headed towards Kurumi.

"So, how long have you know about these people?" He asked her.

He was also wondering if how badly they had already hit her life, but decided not to ask that question just yet.

I pushed myself off the wall mumbling a, "Have a nice day, Kurumi-san." And walked out of the door...

"Okay then. Bye Kurumi-san! Hey wait for me Zed!" With that I rushed out of the door running up the Zed. "Hey!" He turned around and giving his first facial expression, he tilted his head in a confused look. "What? I just wanted to walk with you." He kept his same expression, "Am... I annoying?"

He shook his head, "I don't know why you would want to be around the likes of me." He mumbled so quietly I could hear a squirrel like 50 miles away louder than him.

"Well I think your super cool!"He gave me a slightly embarrassed look, "S-shhh. Not too loud."

"Well it's true, Your police officer Code aren't you?" I whispered.

"How..."

"I notice these type of things." I smiled and patted his back. "Well we should get a move on amigo!"

"Hm." He said and nodded walking next to me down the road.

"Well I'll be taking my leave then Kurumi, it was nice meet you." I made a slight grin and made my way out of the apartment.
