Tokyo Game Show is in full swing and Lightning Returns is there in a big way. Aside from being playable and taking over a stage event, the game has an all-new trailer for the show.
Square Enix has been showing their trailers on their live stream and thanks to @FFNTony, we have a low quality version to share with you. Of course, we’ll be sure to update this post when the full direct feed quality version rolls in, so stay tuned.
Apparently, the trailer has footage of LIGHTNING FIGHTING CAIUS AT ETRO'S THRONE, IN HER GODDESS OUTFIT. Now this could just be a coincidence, that Caius wants to fight Lightning again and he lures her to the ruins of Etro's throne(WHICH ARE CONFIRMED TO BE IN NOVA CRYSALLIA) and whoever did the trailer decided to use her Goddess outfit for the battle.
Or, more likely, this is the Prologue and tutorial for the battle system, starting off with where XIII-2 ended, the final battle between Lightning and Caius in Lightning's Requiem of the Goddess episode which led to Lightning's crystallization. Either way, I CAN'T WAIT TO FIGHT CAIUS WITH THE NEW BATTLE SYSTEM THAT'S AN ACTION RPG!
Also, the dialog is in JAPANESE. We have to wait for an english version of the trailer to find out what they're saying. From what i see, unlike the other trailers that focused on parts of the new world plus the characters, this one is just a mash up of everything, with Caius thrown in for a small period of time.
