Disney Infinity is a game which looks interesting... Disney have stated that they want to release new toys before a major motion picture is released, as a sort of cross-promotional product and as a way to build hype for their products. I would not put it past Disney, being the lovable money hungry corporation that they are, to release figurines of Sora and co. before the release KH3, in order to take advantage of us loyal KH fans. They could easily create worlds based off of original KH worlds such as Destiny Islands or Castle Oblivion. This would also give them a reason to re-release all of their previous statues, but with the models used by Kingdom Hearts (if they differ). Disney characters from a Kingdom Hearts game put into Disney's money-making Universe, in other words. Maybe, the Universe of Disney Infinity IS the world of Kingdom Hearts, and the entire project was just a way of expanding on the work done by Square Enix.

Would a Kingdom Hearts world in Disney Infinity change your opinion on the game, or would it be the first sign of the end for the Kingdom Hearts franchise: the start of the KH brand being whored out to whatever Disney product desires?

I am sure that it will not happen. Disney has not tried to exploit the fact that they own the Kingdom Hearts series yet, so I do not see why they would start now. Kingdom Hearts is not popular outside of the gaming community as it is, so Disney using parts of Kingdom Hearts in a game that is directed at ten-year-olds would make little sense.

I wish Disney Infinity had more classic characters in it :/

And, HELL NO! I'm not going to ditch kh over it at all. xD Why? Theres one thing that'll always keep me nice, submissive *COUGHCOUGH*, and, loyal.

And thats RIKU and his wonderful epicness of epicness. Even if he wasn't so hot, he STILL has a very interesting story, and Xehanort, your CRAZY if you drop the KH games 'just cuz a kh world appers in another game'!!!!

I have barely any kh games to play and now I feel like i'm the only real kh fan in the world :|

Correction:They own the Disney half of it

Final Fantasy characters and the KH games themselves are made by Square Enix

If they had complete freedom over the KH series we would've seen a movie of it right after the first game, but they don't own everything in

Kingdom Hearts is a collaboration project between Disney and Square,it's not just Disney told Square to make a game for them

KH is not really famous or anything, keep that in mind.

It's popular but only in the gaming community

I have heard from a very reliable source that Disney claims copyright to the entire series, and so they own it. The only parts that they do not own are the Final Fantasy characters that were already in other (non-Kingdom Hearts) games, and some music pieces (e.g. One-Winged Angel). Square Enix are the developers, but Disney receives the credit, unfortunately.

Disney may be a very exploitative company, but they know that they cannot exploit a series that is not popular outside of the gaming community in the first place. Nomura would not be impressed.

They exploited a lot of things and they could've exploited a Disney crossover with the ease of eating a pancake.

They may own 70% of KH considering the series is all about Disney. But the main characters of the series(the non-disney ones) are made by Nomura, and I don't think Nomura would let Disney do as they please with his designs.

Actually, Sora, Riku, Kairi, Ventus, Aqua, Terra, Roxas, Namine, Axel, Xion, Vanitas, etc. are all owned by Disney. The only characters who are not owned by Disney are characters like Cloud, Squall, Yuffie, Tifa, Aerith, etc.

Nomura probably has enough control as to be able to decide whether or not Disney can use the characters that he created in their other works. If Disney misused his creations, he would probably be able to complain to, or even sue, them.

And Disney Infinity is a game ;) DI is meant to be targeted towards kids, and could be a good way to introduce kids to the world of Kingdom Hearts. Having some good ol' fashioned Heartless killing inserted into the Disney Infinity worlds would be easy to do, and would only require a re-skin of existing worlds with different enemies. I'm not totally for the idea (I would rather not have the games intersect) but the prospect of Sora and Riku having figurines that can be part of a game seems pretty cool to me :P

Soo that mean's my dolly really *IS* an actual disney prince....*sigh's dreamily*

:D

But, yeah, I think heartless in disney infinity would be cool, so long as it brings in more kh fans and not less of them :P

WEEEE MORE FRIENDS :D

I'd like Disney to break their only characters for a world can be used in that world's playset rule with Sora and Co. to keep that travelling outsider theme for them.
