Posted May 30, 201015 yr how come it is that donald and goofy didnt know that yen sid lived in that tower they had visited the tower ten years before, and their memory couldn't have been THAT faulty by then.
May 30, 201015 yr Well it HAD been 10 years. Do you think yu'd remember every detail 10 years ago on something?
May 30, 201015 yr Author Well it HAD been 10 years. Do you think yu'd remember every detail 10 years ago on something? true, but you'd think they might remember that

I don't really remember the game well, but they said that inside the tower, right? Nomura mentioned in the BBS Ultimania that the interior of the tower changes all the time, so they didn't recognize it from their previous visit. Also, it's Donald and Goofy. And the 11 year gap.
May 31, 201015 yr it was explained that the inner structure of the castle changed and that's why DG didnt remember it
June 1, 201015 yr Okay, I've decided to go find the interview to just clear this up. This is from the plot mysteries interview from the BBS Ultimania. -- In this title, the dark influence of the Heartless isn't breaking down the walls between worlds, so in this period before Gummi Ships, why are Donald and Goofy able to travel to the Mysterious Tower? Nomura: You can think of it as being thanks to Yen Sid, and also because the Mysterious Tower is a loophole world in the first place, so it comes under slightly different rules than the ones that connect the other worlds. By the way, when Donald and Goofy visit the Mysterious Tower in "KHII", they say "Isn't this tower strange!" even though they know it from "KH BbS". This is because the floors are constructed differently to the previous time they visited, which is strange (laughs).
June 1, 201015 yr Indeed, as Nomura stated himself, the insides of Yen Sid's tower goeas all "Harry Pooter moving staircases" on them. If you understand what i'm meaning.

June 2, 201015 yr Even though they wouldn't recoginize the inside, they should still recognize the whole place. Seriously, a floating island, plus the outside of the tower doesn't change. This is basically just a mistake on the writers part.

June 11, 201015 yr well if you've been to a place like once even i wouldn't remember where any thing is but if ven terra or aqua was with them than that would be the reason why they don't remember it
June 12, 201015 yr Not exactly the kind of place yo would forget though. True. In a most likely case scenario, I'd assume they probably had a feeling that they've been there before, but being Donald and Goofy, probably just decided that it wasn't very important.
