There's no way to stop nightmares. Either they appear or they don't. However, you usually get nightmares if you have lots of stress, you experience something tragic, or you think negatively when you're sleeping or just before sleeping. Maybe your friend being in a coma (tragic reason) is giving you nightmares?

If you eat before you sleep, it is possible to get nightmares more easily, due to an increase of brain activity.

BUT if you are continuely getting non-stop nightmares, you may need to see a doctor >.<

the nurse came back and screamed at me cause i was being a f** ing nusence asshe said.... she stabed me with a needle... (like a shot)...my mind started feeling fuzzy and i fell aslep.... when i woke up... it was dark and i was in moms car..my nightmares basicly reliving that...over and overDX and recently now that my freind is in a coma the floor keeps shattering in my nightmares i fall and see all my freinds eather dead or in a coma... but as for the docter thing i wonder if i could do it without haveing a panic attack ^^.....

Deams are caused by the subconsious mind and relate to activity during the day when your awake. Your possibly thinking too hard on 1 or multiple topics and situations. Think of a soft and warm topic I suggest, your upcoming birthday? The awakening of your friend?

Everyone said whatever I had to say, mostly it's something you're worryed about, maybe some situation of when you were a kid stayed on your subconscient and you keep remembering it in your dreams, I'm not really sure of how to help it but I remember my mother giving me some exercises for me to do before I went to sleep when I was a kid and usually had nightmares. But to remember what it was will be a bit hard.

I read somewhere that whatever you're thinking about 20 minutes before you go to bed is what you'll dream about. So, just think about nice things before you go to bed and you might be alright. Listening to quiet music before going to bed really helps, as well. ^^

But, like Deathskull said, if they still keep coming up, you should seriously consider telling a doctor.

(Oh, and happy early birthday, by the way! :D)

Also, in case naught comes to further notice on the process of dreams, allow me to put furhter bits of my research into explaination:

During our awakening or daytime, we wander about our mind's processes, the part of the brain noticing everything and in charge is known as the "Conciousness" or consious. But there is also the sub-consious. Which lingers away from the consious but still listen's in on what's happening. The areas on which both consious and sub-consious are loacated are hypothesized by my knowledge to be located on the left and right sides of the brain. As you might already know, the left side of a person's brain is creativity, while the right is judgement. These two halves affect greatly upon our lives, usually one side is bigger than the other, which also can be detected by hand control. If a person is left-handed, they are known to be more creative and free-thinking on matters, the right-handed people are said to have a larger right half-ed brain instead, resulting in more thinking and judgment. In the past, it was thought wrongly to be left-handed, so children while in school were force-fully and painfully taught to learn right-handed ways. Resulting in less amounts of left-handed people in the world today. But anyways, While we are alseep, our sub-concious mind takes over our bodies, showing us fixed and twisted images known as dreams. It is the weak signals of our judgemental side of the brain to determine if these are nightmares or pleasent images. Also, we go through thousands of dreams each and every night, and it is only the first few and last few dreams we had experienced during sleep that we really remember. I wonder if this helps? Emotions are mixed with the sub-concious, along with memory, to create these images. That is all I have to say on this subject.

edit: also....i'm born a left-handed person.

Oh man i really hope they stop i'am sorry i have no suggestions or ideas to make them stop all i can say is try to imagine like i do lots is *have the enya/only time playing in your hear or kingdom hearts dearly beloved and just look up into the sky and imagine the stars and what they would be if your went to them and if you could do anything what would it be* thats how i get through each day.
