List of games I like that no one else does!

Posted

My opinions? VERY differing from those of everyone else! So, here's a list of those games that nobody likes except me. Also note that games that almost nobody's heard of will be on here, because there aren't enough people to hate it. So, let's get this underway!

Final Fantasy X-2: So it had a bit of fan service, and it kinda ruined the ending of FFX, but as a game itself, it's not bad by any means. I swear, everyone hates it all because of the fan service...

Final Fantasy XIII: Linear? Yes. But linear doesn't mean bad. The game had a tremendous story, great characters, and some of the best music I've heard in any FF games. Plus it brought about a great sequel, with another one coming soon.

Final Fantasy XII: Man, I'm going on with FF, but this'll be the last one. I can agree, the story wasn't the best. However, the characters were decent enough, the gameplay was fun, with an almost RTS feel to it, and I kinda just like everything else this game does.

Sonic the Hedgehog(2006/Next Gen): Yes, rage on fellow ragers, but I like this game. Sure the plot was stupid, and it had a lot of game breaking glitches, but most of the glitches were fixed in the PAL version(if you wanted to get it), and nobody cares for plot in Sonic(except in SOME cases...). As for everything else, all the glitches were with Sonic's story. Shadow and Silver are fine. Besides, the game was rushed and it was so bad because everyone rushed Sega to get out the new Sonic game for Sonic's 15th anniversary, not his 16th. Had Sega released it when they initially wanted to, then it would've been a much better game than it is now. Alas, I still like the game.

Most CoD games: Yes, most people hate CoD, yes, I hate it too...but only the fanbase. As games, I don't have a problem with it. Sure, they just put out the same game roughly each year, but everything else that everyone claims about CoD being bad is just nonsense. Everyone playing multiplayer isn't true. The games actually have decent storylines based off the many wars of history. The game is the same every single time? Yeah, that's the case with a lot of games. Mario is a great example of this, with games usually amounting to the same point A to point B scenario. I still love Mario, and so does everyone else. However, CoD is usually the same every time, but everyone seems to hate on it. As for the people that DO like it, they're SEVERELY outnumbered by the people that do hate on CoD. And now let the flood of raging posts commence...

Erect the floodgates!

I haven't played any FF, so I can't say anything about those (at least until I get X|X-2).

I haven't played Sonic 06 either, so yeah....

As for CoD, I've only played a few, and even then it's usually multiplayer at a friend's house. I will admit it's fun to play every once in a while, but to me it feels the same. I really don't care for different guns or maps. Also, most of my friends who played it usually only played multiplayer, so that's how I came to believe that stereotype. Maybe it's just because FPSs aren't my thing, but those are my two cents.

As for your example of Mario, while the concept of going to Point A to Point B is true, it's the journey that's (usually) different, and to me that's what counts.

Like I always say

There's a game for everyone

To each his own tastes.

At least, I think so.

Why feed petty arguments

Over what is best?

As for what you said about FFXIII.The problem is not with the linearity itself as FFX was linear but ok.

The problem is that you do NOTHING in those hallways, you don't talk to anyone, there is no cool secrets to find as everything is right in your way until chapter 11,there is no mini games or side quests until chapter 11(and the side quests are just killing more of the same monsters you've been fighting). All of what you do for 12 chapters(including chapter 12 and chapter 13) is nothing but walk, watch and battle.Walk, watch and battle.Walk, watch and battle.Walk, watch and battle........rence and repeat....and the crystarium doesn't make it any better.

But to each his own.I'm fine with you liking it unlike the rest of the FF fanbase who might murder you like what they did to me.I used to love XIII before but there is so many things wrong with it as an RPG specifically not just as a FF game

I have to say that I actually liked parts of FFXII.  The gameplay was interesting, and I rather liked the "Loot drops" as opposed to straight Gil.  I have yet to actually finish it, but I've enjoyed it so far.

I think the problem with FFX-2 is that people weren't accepting of the change with Yuna perhaps (I have only made minimal progress in the game.  I may give it another try).  I know I was rather thrown off by it, but it isn't necessarily bad.  Spira went through a big change during the Eternal Calm, thus it allowed Yuna to explore, to finally not have to be the person everyone looks to for hope.  Still, I can't really say much about it until I've actually finished it.

As for everything else, I really haven't played them (Planning on FFXIII eventually just to see what it's about).  I've played a tad bit of CoD, but I don't care for it per se, it's just something I'll casually play with friends.

-I know I'm definitly being unfare for not liking FF10-2(especially since I haven't played the game),but the new Yuna just ruins everything for me.

-People don't hate FF13 only because of the hallway.

-I didn't watch the entire story yet,but from what I've seen so far FF12 has a pretty good story,I really like the setting, the character are likable and interesting to follow, but the gameplay...

-Sonic 06 had a bad story, but I don't play Sonic games for their story so the plot holes, all the non-sense of the storyline, the boring character of Sonic, etc.,never really bug me.My problem with this game is the level design and the control,Sonic is not as fun to control as in the previous 3D titles(And its truly unforgivable what they did to Knuckles,he's not even a playable character,he's broken as hell) and none of the stages are that interesting(except for Radical Train that I like).Usually when I play a Sonic game I like replaying my favorite stages over and over, but if I had this game the only stage I'd replay a lot would be Radical Train.oh and its ridiculous to have atrocious load times like this in a platformer. But other then that I don't think its the worst game even, its not even the worst Sonic game to me.I'd rather play Sonic 06 then Sonic 3D blast ,Sonic Spinball or Sonic labyrinth.

Sonic 06 just feels like a tech demo. I could get past everything else if the entire 'feel' of the game wasn't something unfinished.

I actually like X-2 a bit. The story is kind of dumb and so are the characters for the most part, but I enjoy it.

I'm still working on warming up to XIII, though honestly no game should be worth six years of warming up.

I don't hate XII so much as it feels incredibly dull to me. I just didn't care about it much.

I'm alright with CoD, but the 'same gameplay slightly tweaked in new environments' thing is getting a little old to me. And I usually like stuff like that. I love Arkham Origins and that hasn't really evolved, either. But then, Arkham is only three entries while CoD is a good 10.
