Don't alot of things in KH seem to come from mythology

I mean, look at Namine! her story is just like the story of Selene (the Titan Goddess) she was pale and ghostlike, wore only wite, and fell in love with a human who was so beautiful. She watched him for many years until she decided to keep him as her own. She put him into an eternal sleep and took care of him......(the rest of the story gets pretty odd after that) but still. See what I mean ya?

ya i hav noticed alot of mythology in KH just never really paid that close of attention

A lot of stories are based off of past stories and legends now a days.

and fell in love with a human who was so beautiful.

You talking about Sora? When did Namin

and fell in love with a human who was so beautiful.

It would be based off of it, not excatly like the story.

Well, to me it didn't sound much like Chain of Memories except from the description on how this girl looks like...

Its the developpemental aspect of it, not the literal story itself that are similar. Not the same, similar.

Xemnas is kind of Satan-esque in a way.

Yeah Xemnas is VERY satan-esque in the way that he uses what people want/need to take advantage of their lives just to puppet them into his rule.

BTW, YES YES YES i know that the stories aren't EXSACT (they never are) i mean Namine didn't have 50 kids with Sora while he slept like the Goddess did with Endymion...............................at least, i hope not.......... o_e

I can see the connection you are making. A lot of games and animes and mangas have mythological references, whether them being from Japanese or Greek mythology. I would have expected Nomura to make some connection to them somewhere in the series. Thanks for pointing this connection out.

NOW THAT YOU SAID IT O.O

nope, I didn't notice.

so many people use it that's almost unperceptable, besides I don't know too many storeis from greek and xinto mythologies

Heya, old thread buuuuuut,
I was researching the gods EOS & ASTRAEUS, also known for being the TITAN gods of DUSK & DAWN or LIGHT & DARK & strange coincidence maybe, but, I found out they have kids (who are also god) named Anemoit to which the Roman equivalent is Venti, they were supposedly wind gods.. Ventus did seem to represent the wind element in the game.

Also the names of the "Venti" are curiously similar,
One named Aquilo (heres a quote from a poem Virgil wrote about ;
"Now had the sun rolled through the year's full circle,
and the waves were rough with icy winter's northern gales") Aqua maybe?
Second is Vulturnus (sounds a bit like Ventus..)
Third is Auster (bit of a stretch from Terra to be fair..) who "brings cloudy weather, powerful winds and rain"
Only this that ruin this is there are 4 of them not 3.. Last one is named Fastonius "who held dominion over plants and flowers" (...I got nothing for this one)

Anywho make of that what you will, maybe devs have got a thing for old Roman mythology and the Titan wars.. can't blame em
