I've been keeping up with the news of LRFFXIII to an extent but I feel I'm missing something

 

So far there has been no mention of any Eidolons being in the game....it won't matter much since we only control Lightning

 

But I've never seen her Eidolon Odin anywhere,neither in the trailers nor the gameplay videos

 

one of the most satisfying things about XIII's battle system(which I love despite my hatred for the game) is when you summon your Eidolon,go to the Gestatl mode and beat the shit out of every enemy in sight.

 

Yeah we got our Pokemon-esque monster catching in XIII-2 but I still love the Eidolons

 

Also,it'll be awesome if we can ride Odin to travel in the overworld of LRFFXIII.

 

I know we haven't seen everything yet but I hope they bring Odin back and make him usable 

I'd totally love to ride Odin around beating stuff up.

 

But SE likes to forget things, so I'll hope my prayers get answered.

Ooh, that's a good idea (the overworld riding part). Probably won't happen though

"Due to Etro's weakening at the end of XIII-2, the eidolon's have lost their power, since she was the one who gave them power. Because of this, they may reappear in Lightning Returns but in ANOTHER FORM."

 

I think i know what happened to Odin. You know how Lightning has this connection to the Angel of Valhalla chocobo in LR, and how she bonds with it really well and feels like she has fought along side it in battle before? Well, i think this chocobo is actually Odin, who became a chocobo after Etro lost her power. BUt thats just me.

Caius plays a huge role in the story but he's not the main villain. i Wont spoil it but the trophy list that was leaked reveals whos the real villain.

He was supposed to be the main villain since he as you know already...DESTROYED ALL TIME AND HISTORY....The world of Nova Chrysillia is a result of his actions

But I'm gonna guess it's one of the Fal'cie gods mentioned in the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythology

My guess is that,he finally built the world where Yeul won't suffer from the endless death and revival curse that she once had in XIII-2,after that he was pretty much done and decided to depart while Yeul can live normally...unfortunately his actions caused the freakin apocalypse 

 

However,as long as Caius has a good major rule in the story and I can listen to his badass awesome theme....I'm fine....seriously I LOVE Caius's theme

Yeah, it's like that. But now Caius wants to die, but he can't due to having no heart. So he saved yeul and screwed himself over. We fight him again in LR.

Well his soul can be taken.

 

The thing is, Yeul wants Lightning to save Caius's soul, since he cannot die and he wants to rest. So she pinpoints Light on where to find Caius, which is in the ruins of etro's throne from the Void beyond, which ended up in nova crysallia. So now Caius says Light must fight him if she wants to save him.

Speaking of the main villain

 

 

I have the feeling that Bhunivelze might be the main villain,maybe he tricked Lightning to gather the remaining souls of humanity to he can consume them

 

 

 

According to the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythology,Bhunivelze killed his mother Mwynn and created three Fal'cies:Etro,Pulse and Lindzei

 

He didn't gave Etro any powers because she resembled his mother and told Pulse and Lindzei to find the gate to the Unseen Realm(which I guess it's Valhalla)

 

And since Bhunivelze hated Etro,I won't be surprised that he want to consume humanity since Etro created the humans on Gran Pulse
