Command Board - The Board game

Posted

If it were to be made into an actual board game. I mean I've been looking at youtube videos and going through the boards myself - I believe that it is very well possible to play it as a board game which is just as accurate as BBS in game (minus the command levelling up since there are no commands in real life to level up) - I mean its just a modified monopoly isn't it?

Who would play it? Who wouldn't?

I myself sucked at board games because luck was not on my side

There would be a lot of math involved with the GP stuff (which Birth By Sleep helps calculate for you)

  • The dice/die can be made quite easily with custom dice cutters and dice printing (but quite expensive, I had a look at the prices)
  • The blocks can be made from wooden blocks with pictures printed on the side
  • The game mat is probably the easiest to make...just print on large fabric or paper - but will need multiple for the different worlds
  • Then there are the Cards (magic/command/joker/special...etc) for the commands/hand sleights
  • Finally...we need miniature Ventus/Terra/Aqua/Sora/Riku Figurines.

Who knows...I might pick it up as a project in the future ~ :D

That is if square enix doesn't decide to make them and market them

Honestly, in trying to complete them all and get commands especially with 3 stories that each start at 0 so you have to do it again, I honestly would happily set a board game version of it on fire.

Absolutely hated the command board. Never again.

Okay...I guess....yep I should dump the idea >_<

Well, technically it already does exist as a board game, or as a separate "game" if you want to get technical. If you've ever heard of the Fortune Street games made by Enix, the command board is eerily similar to how they play except a bit more in depth since you can play with a stock market and stuff like that.

Yes, you are absolutely right, Itadaki Street plays essentially just like the Command Board xD ~

I completely forgot ~ But sitll I reckon SE should do one for The command board ~ im sure there would be some fans out there to appreciate it

But knowing that Square Enix is a company that wants profits...the KHBBS fan base is quite small (Compared to KH2 and KH1 fanbase as well as compared to other games like the Zelda series or FFVII) and thus the Command Board game is unlikely to sell

I feel like the only one who loves the Command Board, I thought it was really fun.

Command Board is one of my two major issues with BBS... I would only get a real board game just for collector's purposes.

I hated the command board-- it was like a chore I had to do every time I played BBS. No way I'd be interested in playing it in real life, either.
