{Xoctts}

The sound of crashing filled the old Castle in the remains of Radiant Garden. The dim light that remained in the former world was fading as Xoctts pushed through the wreckage at one of entrances to the castle. More damage had been done to the castle since the attack on Destiny Islands by dark forces.

And the Betrayal.

Once again, Xoctts cursed the Witch's actions. Why had he trusted her? If he found the Void Witch again, he would avenge the fallen.

Feeling alone and hopeless, Xoctts leaned against a wall and slowly slid down into a sitting position.

 

{Xion}

Sora pushed himself up to his knees, the pain of his wounds nearly causing him to blackout. He looked around as his friends were being hunted down by a laughing figure.

"I'm not going to make it, am I?" He thought.

He looked down to see his wounds. He felt soo tired. But he had to do more.

"Roxas...Xion." He murmured. "This is your fight now."

Sora summoned his Kingdom Key. He turned it so that the blade was pointed towards himself and, like he had done to free Kairi's heart, he stabbed himself.

The point of view seemed to rise up as Sora slumped. He looked up in time to see a grinning face and red blades slashing for him.

"SORA!" Xion screamed as she shot up into a sitting position.

She pulled her legs to her chest and sobbed as the loneliness and sorrow filled her as she sat in the ruins of Twilight Town's Train Station.

{Mercy}"Shh!" Mercy hissed, waving for Kazuto to get down. "There are things out there worse then Heartless with good eyes and ears, so get down!"She looked around for a few moments to make sure what ever she was afraid of wasn't already there."I'm Mercy." She said with a quick nod to Kazuto.

Kazuto lowered his keyblade and got down on the floor. "I'm Kazuto, Kazuto Joestar. How did you get here? And what do you mean, things worse then heartless?"

"I can help!" Zion said to Xion brightly.

-You're utterly ridiculous and impossible. She doesn't wing our way.-

"You don't know that!"

-Just shut up.-

"Ponies."

-FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-"

 

Her eyes now completely gold again, and her own Keyblade away, she looked around.

"Zion de Wynter. Keyblade Master and the Vanguard of Salvation's Dawn. I guess. It's what my older brother titled me after he passed my Mark of Mastery exam." She blushed. "Dunno how I passed."

-Pure. Dumb. Luck.-

"Don't tempt me."

The british voice ran for the hills, figuratively, leaving Zion again with fully gold eyes.  "Anyways. Xion. My brother and his friends are trying to set the worlds right, too. Any help is appreciated."

Xavvic looked around. "We should get someplace safe. Fast." He sensed darkness, and didn't feel like he could control himself.

Astra, Ainari and Yuri were watching the conversation with complete interest."I need help to set the worlds right. Can any of you help me?" Xion asked the group.Apparently Zion, or was it Sione? was going to help Xion."We should get someplace safe. Fast." Xavvic said."Astra, there is someone else in here" Ainari commented. "I can't pinpoint exactly their position""Gee that's very useful" Yuri said with sarcasm while flames surrounded her hand and then her Keyblade, Flame of Rebirth, came into existence."I am sorry Xion, but we can't give you an answer at this moment. Let us focus on our current situation, for now" the silver haired boy said to the young Keyblade Wielder.

{Xoctts}

Xoctts sat quietly as he digested what Master Thomas had told him.

"So, she betrayed us, then went...to another reality to attack another version of Master Ansem?" He said, bafflement clear in his voice.

He struggled up onto his feet.

"But, why?"

Dark laughter echoed around Xoctts, Thomas and Tyler.

"Best not ask that, honey." A female voice drifted in from every where.

A moment later, the Void Witch known as Lacuna was standing behind Xoctts with one of her Void Blades sticking out of his chest.

"It would only distract you." She whispered into the Nobody's ear.

The blade disappeared and Xoctts fell forward. He was already fading before he hit the ground. Behind her half mask, Lacuna grinned at Thomas and Tyler.

"Hi, boys. Enjoy the ride?"

 

{Mercy}

"Nice to meet you, Kazuto." Mercy replied in a low voice.

She looked around, then motioned for Kazuto to get up, but stay low.

"I used to live here, before and after Darkness took over. I...found some friend and we were about to try to bring Light back but..."

She trailed off. She looked like someone who went through so much that she couldn't feel it anymore.

"Anyway, now there are things from the deep dark out there. There is a leader. It calls itself Vanfore. It looks like a man, but it isn't."

 

{Xion}

Xion managed to give Zion a smile.

"Thank you." She said, softly.

She rallied a bit and nodded to the others.

"You are right. We had best get somewhere safe."

"But where is safe?" Came a male voice from the roof.

A moment later, a man in a black coat appeared in a swirl of darkness a few yards from the group. He reached up with both hands and pulled back his hood, revealing Xemnas's smug face.

"Nothing is safe in the dark." He said.

Master Thomas and Tyler draw their Keyblades and point them at Lacuna. They are not happy to see her. Master Thomas clenches his teeth as he looks on at Lacuna. Tyler just looks on at Lacuna with a shockingly menacing glare on his face. "You've got some nerve, traitor, to show your face here... What do you want this time, you traitorous "Doll"?!" Asked Master Thomas, asking Lacuna a question.

Yuri was looking at Xemnas with a confused look on her face."Astra? Are you and that guy related?" the white haired girl asked.The boy in the black coat was looking at Xemnas ignoring everything around him."A-Astra? Are you alright?" Ainari asked while summoning her Keyblade."Yeah, I'm fine" the silver haired boy answered. "I doubt that your objective is to attack us because it would have been easier to do it while you were hiding. So tell us. What is you objective? I am sure you were the one who I sensed earlier when we were coming here."

Xion and Sione spun around and entered Balance without pause. Her different wings flared, she had both Keyblades drawn and ready. She was not amused...but smirked.

"Then...I believe...it is time for the dawn to rise."

 

Zion lifted off the ground, slightly more in front of Xion.

-Dark...such a simple term...it appeals to some. But is endless dark good? The answer remains no.-

"I think we got a bit dramatic..."

-Who cares."

Kazuto listened to Mercy and felt her pain. He'd lost his world to the darkness too.

 

"Vanfore? And it's not a man? What is it then, is it one of the heartless? Or something else?"

Xavvic drew his blade once again. He probably couldn't avoid this fight.

A dark corridor appeared between Master Tyler, Thomas, and the Void Witch. As soon as it appeared, a blade swung out from it towards Lacuna. A boy that looked awfully familiar stepped out. Kopiu spun his staff. "Demon woman." Kopiu said simply. He had been among the heroes here at Radiant Garden. He wasn't there as much of a hero, just an observer. But still, he knew that what this woman had done was wrong. Kopiu didn't intend to give her a second chance.

{Lacuna}

Lacuna gave Thomas a shocked look.

"What?" She asked. "You think what I want has changed?"

She then giggled.

"I'm still on the same thought lines as I was before. Still, glad to see you made it through the portal alright."

Kopiu's sudden appearance and attack caught Lacuna be surprised. The blade hit her on the side and sent her to her knees. She looked up at Kopiu, laughing.

"The watcher is taking sides? Fantastic. That makes things more interesting."

She bounded up onto her feet, apparently ignoring her wound.

 

{Xion & Xemnas}

Xion moved up to be on level with Zion, her Keyblade gripped tightly in her hands. Xemnas smiled slightly, though it didn't reach his eyes.

"Oh, the dawn you speak of will come, but will you be around to see it?" He asked Zion.

The Superior's amber eyes swiveled to take in Astra, narrowing slightly.

"I am here to offer you a way to survive. Let Darkness in. Only then can you survive in this dark."

His gaze fell on Xavvic.

"Some of you are not far from embracing it even now."

"And what?" Xion asked through gritted teeth. "Abandon the Light?"

Xemnas chuckled.

"Oh, don't worry about the Light, little puppet. Your original and his friends will see to that. There is no place for a copy there."

Xion shook slightly as a few tears ran down her checks.

"Well, since Sora isn't around to defend it, it looks like I'm left to fight on in his stead." She said, her voice quavering as she spoke.

Xemnas's smug look vanished and a carefully neutral look took its place.

"What are you talking about?" He demanded in a low tone.

"They're dead!" Xion cried out. "All of them!"

 

{Mercy}

Mercy motioned for Kazuto to follow her as she started to move quietly away from Twilight Town.

"I don't know." She admitted. "If it is a heartless, it is like nothing I've ever seen. It's smart, not like the Shadows that are everywhere."

She paused a moment.

"And...I've seen other things just outside the old world boundaries. Glowing eyes that seems to suck up light."

Suddenly, where Xion and Xemnas are, an insane evil laugh is heard. The hooded man walks out from wear he was hiding, smirking an insane smile at Xion and Xemnas. "Hehe, as always, you show up looking for "Vessels", Xemnas, as always, you are a mere weak-minded fool, whose presence shall crumble before my two masters!!! Along with what's left of the Light!! For I am Ken!! An Emissary sent from my two Masters!!!" Shouted Ken, talking to Xemnas. Ken looks right at Xion, letting out an evil giggle. "And as for you, little dead weight, you shall soon join your "Friends", my two Masters shall soon start phase two of the plan that was made by their original self 300 years ago... And You and Xehanort shall not live to see their glorious plan come to fruition... I'll admit that the Void Witch's betrayal was interesting.... But her time is almost up..." Said Ken, talking to Xion. Master Thomas and Tyler continue to point their Keyblades at Lacuna, clenching their teeth. "Don't hide stuff from the likes of us, Void Witch, Xoctts told us that YOU betrayed him and the others... That's unforgivable..." Said Master Thomas, talking to Lacuna.

"So,... Truce?" Xavvic said to Xemnas. "It seemed by the looks of it, they might throw a wrench in your plans. And I know you want the darkness all to yourself, don't you?" He turned to Ken. " I hope you give me a challenge, if you are here to fight."

Kazuto had a few beads of sweat appear on the sides of his head and he gulped. "Ok then, we gotta remain extra cautious. Come on then, we should get a move on." He slowly walked to another island and glided over there and landed. He motioned for Mercy to follow.

-Ken. The harbinger of our destruction...is named Ken.-

"I'm gonna call him Kenny."

-Will you kill Kenny?-

"I'm tempted to." Zion admitted. She gripped her Keyblades, one wing gently pressing against Xion's back for wordless support. "And she's not a puppet. I can feel her heart, and as for you Xemnas...I will see the dawn. I am dawn's vanguard, and you're about to feel my wrath..." She glanced at the others. "Pure darkness can only lead to destruction. Pure Light hasn't brought one to such depth, but even pure light looks for the coolness of light. You cannot have one without the other." Her eyes remained one gold, one blue. "Balance is needed, and balance is what I bring."

 

Her wings glowed brighter, and she lifted a bit higher. Keyblades ready, she slightly angled, ready to fight.

-Come at me, and you'll see that we are more then meets the eye you tossers.-

"You and your weird insults."

-Deal with it.-

 

The strange Keyblade master prepared to lay down a world of hurt on these two darkness wielding fiends.

Ken smirks evilly at Zion's words and laughs evilly. He folds his arms as he looks on at her. He is not moved by her words at all. He is simply just standing there, looking at Zion evilly. "Light and Darkness being in a Balance is such a stupid idea, and is not needed, my two Masters have different beliefs on the two parallel forces of such Elements... But guess what, through destruction, comes "Recreation".... And through that, a new World is born, but in our case, the Worlds have been thrown into the Realm of Darkness... Which is pretty much a Ragnarok..." Said Ken, talking to Zion.

"So let me get this straight." Said Xavvic. "You want to want to destroy the world... Because you think balance is..." Xavvic eyed Xemnas. "If you want to kill this guy. I'll join you." He hated idiots like Ken.

-Kopiu-

The copy stood, staff at the ready, glaring at Lacuna. "I have not taken a side. I am merely avenging good souls." Kopiu explained himself, before turning to Master Tyler and Thomas. "Are you two just going to stand there?" He asked, sounding slightly irritated at the inaction of his "comrades". Kopiu channeled darkness through his Soul Devourer (like the name?) and lunged into a spin attack towards the Void Witch. Riku had given him a second chance, and he was going to try and do good with it. Well, good in his perspective.

"Stupid? As if." Zion gripped her Keyblades.

-Balance. A concept that we enbody. Go ahead and spit on it - the ones who shall fall, are you yourself. For it is in balance that both sides can be brought to harmony.-

"And we're getting poetic."

-Hey, I'm made from your heart.-

"Shut up."

 

Zion stopped arguing with herself and pointed her golden Keyblade at Ken.

"Desctruction brings forth recreation, yes. But Destruction is but one medium. Destruction, balance, all can bring change. You only need the smallest ember to ignite an inferno, a wildfire called change." Her wings folded back, ready to dive. "I came to terms with my darkness."

-And Darkness has accepted Light's importance.-

"So here's why you are going to fail in the end. One alone cannot stand."

<Two are better then one, dumkopf.>

"Too poetic" said Xavvic.

Yuri was looking between Xemnas and the rest of the group while they were talking about the Light, Darkness and destruction."We don't have to let the Darkness in. We were born in the Realm of Darkness" the white haired girl said."But no matter what" Ainari spoke. "We can't let you destroy everything!""True. We can agree to a truce for now." the silver haired boy looked at everyone and stopped when he reached both Xion and Xemnas. "If we fight among ourselves then these individuals will succeed in their goal of destruction, so let us join against this guy and finish him off before he becomes a threat" A black mist gathered on Astra's left hand, slowly taking the form of his Keyblade.

The darkness inside him hungerd for battle. He smiled. "Alright! " he summoned his Keyblade, the dark aura increased . He took stance. "Let's go!"

{Xion & Xemnas}

Xemnas had spun around to face Ken. He had remained blank during Ken's taunting, though when the Void Witch was mentioned, for the barest of moments, he looked like he had been slapped in the face.

"We won't let you destroy what we have left!" Xion declared firmly, pointing her Keyblade at Ken.

"Agreed." Xemnas added, drawing a surprised look from Xion.

The Superior glanced from Xavvic to Astra then back to Ken.

"A truce would be appropriate."

"If you think you can-" Xion started.

"We can settle our differences later." Xemnas snapped. "We deal with this threat now!"

Xion glared at Xemnas for a moment then looked back to Ken. Oddly enough, Zion's words had a calming effect on Xion.

"She's right." The replica thought. "It is together that we are powerful."

"Xavvic, isn't it?" Xemnas asked, not taking his eyes off the common enemy. "You are holding something in. Stop that."

The Superior's hands shot up and bolts of his Etherial Blades shot out at Ken, with Xion following suit by hurling her Keyblade in a Strike Raid.

 

{Lacuna} (Yuffie: Sounds suitably ominous.)

Lacuna's Void Blades snapped to life and blocked the double bladed staff coming at her.

"See?" She asked Kopiu. "You got a fire others need. You really need to join a side."

She jolted negative energy through her blades and Soul Devourer into Kopiu, making all his nerves go numb for a moment. The Void Witch took the opportunity to shove Kopiu off. She gave Thomas and Tyler a wink.

"I'm glad Xoctts told you about my little play." She told them. "It saves me the trouble of telling you myself."

Her eyes went cold and the normal childish glint in them was gone.

"Your forgiveness is not even wanted." She said in a dark tone. "I will not apologize for acting like I was brought into being for."

Lacuna looked up with a far off look. She then looked back down with her usually mad spark twinkling in her eyes.

"Well, my next engagement isn't for a bit." She said jovially.

She spun her Void Blades around, creating a disturbing buzzing sound, and ended in a battle read position.

"So I've got some time to kill."

 

{Mercy}

Mercy kept low and quiet as she followed Kazuto. She stopped a few times when she though she heard or saw something, but pushed on after a moment to check. After one last sprint, she was beside Kazuto.

"We need to get to Radiant Garden." She breathed. "I've got a friend there who is trying to organize people."

"If he survived." She thought.
