Play as Terra. Fly to the highest point in the stage. Spam meltdown. He has an unbelievably hard time dodging that move.

this is the tactic I used. Use it wisely. It'll be your ultimate setup O_O

Here is what I did

 

I leveled up Kain up to Lv 99 

 

I used a summon that freezes my bravery point so when I use it it'll remain high

 

Then I proceeded to spam Jump like nobody's business

 

My assist was Ultimecia which surprisingly helped me a lot

 

Btw,Feral chaos has two encounters,one with it's maniken,the second is with the much much harder real Feral Chaos

Accessories are your best friend against Chaos. Even things like boosting your attacks by x2 are a huge help. Also, assuming you've gotten some of your characters to 99 by now, turn on the EXP to HP ability.

 

As for who you use, it's really mostly about who you're comfortable using, but my line up was:

 

Onion Knight, because all of his regualar attacks chain into HP attacks, and given that he hits incredibly fast, you can whittle away at Chaos for a good while until he slaps you away.

 

Yuna, because Mega Flare in a confined space is amazing.

 

Zidane, much for the same reasons as the Onion Knight.

 

Firion, because he hits like a tank, and again, all of his regular attacks chain into HP. Embrace the spam-a-riffic Doublew Trouble.

 

And Terra. Because Firaga is the best move ever.

Or just do Holy Combo + Ultima, that's how I did it.
