December 16, 201311 yr Why are you writing everything in Romanji instead of hiragana? I'm a beginner too, but this basic. If you can't even read hiragana and basic kanji you shouldn't typing sentences yet. My Japanese teacher(Who is actually from japan) says this very thing, along with the fact that Romanji isn't Japanese. What the title should be: の日本語ものをいわせて。 It might actually be better to name it: Let's speak Japanese or Let's speak Japanese の日本語ものをいわせて。No one knows what the thread is about unless you write like that. What timid said was a bit rude, but it might be good to put what you're trying to say in English underneath, so that people who don't know a word or something can still reply back in their own Japanese and help each other learn, which I'm assuming is what the thread is about. Etc: こんにちは。私はこんらんしています。 Hello. I'm confused Edited December 16, 201311 yr by KittensOnFire

I'm confused ...I thought everyone would've had the idea to just use Google Translate, or something. At least, that's what I do when I see something I don't understand.

At least, that's what I do when I see something I don't understand.Well, there's nothing wrong with that. However, while google translate is good to use, you gotta be careful coz it usually jumbles up meanings and mistranslates things. It's ok for basic stuff, but with complicated sentences it usually translates the opposite of what it means or something like that. It's good to check something first by translating it back into English and seeing if it still makes sense. It it doesn't then it's probably gotten a particle or word wrong, which is an easy thing for the program to do because words have heaps of meanings in Japanese. You can usually fix it by clicking on the word and selecting the alternate meaning that makes more sense for the sentence and (If you can) by fixing up the particles yourself. Just some advice Edited December 17, 201311 yr by KittensOnFire
