the past lost amid a haze, of foggy place and icy deed. 
Brave on, winter child: the worst has yet to come. 

Staring in the distances of glass, a single chink in the silver streak glass, a loophole of a soul. 
Face pass, non seeing, benine, leaving you far in the past behind.
you're only near the light as you feel yourself go, 
your flame gutteral and low, on the long road home.

( I haven't updated in a REAAAAAALLLLYYY long time, but this is my latest piece, as well as a short scene I wrote to go with it. )

" What?" He guestured vaugely at the surrounding trees and forest plants. " That a blind man couldn't live here?"
" no..I meant.." Elsa looked away. " I'm sorry, ok?"
The man smirked, looking at her with grey eyes, almost appearing to really be staring at her, even as he leaned heavily on his crooked staff, the top curved like a candy stick the children got at the fairs each year. " What's your name?"
" El...Elsa."
" I'm Jackson. " 
" Why do you live here?" Elsa asked, seating herself on a fallen tree, arranging her skirt under her as best she could.
