It is the second day at Beacon, you are on the cliffs with a bunch of strangers...or friends (decide amongst yourselves) and are about to start your very first trial: falling.  Crazy old Ozpin is telling everyone to have a landing strategy.  It is up to you to take the first step.  Begin!

 

 

Ozpin and Glynda's speech:

 

 

Everyone currently stood on the cliffs, standing on some kind of platform.  For some reason, each platform having the school's insignia.  Ozpin and Ms. Goodwitch were standing before them, it was kind of exciting and nerve racking all at the same time.  What were they going to tell the students.

 

"For years you have trained to become warriors," the gray haired man began, as he addressed all the students.  "Today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.""Now," Glynda continued, "I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams.  Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion.  Each of you will be given teammates, today.""These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time, here at Beacon.  So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well.  That being said, first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

 

There were an abundant of reactions, ranging from both sides of the spectrum.  It would continue for the rest of the authority figures' speech.  Regardless, Ozpin continued."After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest.  You will meet opposition along the way.  Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die.  You will be monitored and graded for the duration of the initiation, but our instructors will not intervene.  You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics.  Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff.  You will guard that item, as well as your standing, and we will grade you appropriately.  Are there any questions?"

 

 

 

And with those last couple of words, one by one everyone prepared to be tossed into the air.  Whether anyone responded or not, did not matter.  Ozpin already had a set answer.

 

"Good.  Now, take your positions."For some reason, someone always had a question about the landing strategy and so the gray haired man answered accordingly.

 

"No, you will be falling,"

"Oh great, some guy is asking questions," Haru thought.  "What an idiot."

"No, you will be using your own landing strategy."

 

And with that, everyone was tossed into the air.  Haru, felt very natural in the air, holding his backpack as he flipped and twisted a couple times, somehow avoiding mysteriously placed crows. *cough* Monty *cough*  He decided to try and stay in the air for as long as possible, it seemed fun that way.  He spread his arms in the air, picking up a bountiful of air resistance."This is great!" the white haired boy yelled out, diverting some of the other first years' attention.

 

He looked around to see the possible competition, as well as teammates.

 

"Now which one of you are my future teammates?"

Syfe grinned a little at Vyona's enthusiasm for a fight. He himself was rearing to go, but hid it well. He didn't appreciate the comment about his age, as it confirmed his suspicions. No matter, he could do it. He grabbed his pistols and flicked a switch on both of them. Safety mode. They would inflict just as much pain, but no real bodily harm. Syfe jammed them both into the holsters at his waist. "Well, we should get going to the gym then. Heian, would you like to come and ref maybe?" Syfe proposed to the team. The boy walked over to the doorway, and placed his hand on the doorknob, waiting for everyone's response.

Nami pulled Heian by his arm out of his bed. "Of courseee he's coming." she said as she gave somewhat of an eerie grin. "Who wouldn't want to watch you two fight, am I right?" "Then it's decided then. Let's go." Vyona said and the team left the dorms. A few minutes later, the four off them has reached the gym. Luckily, it was empty so they had it to themselves for the time being. Nami and Heian went down to go sit on a bench, Nami dragging him behind her a bit too roughly with that same grin on her face and Vyona stood at one side of the gym and Syfe at the other. She whipped out her staff and pointed it towards Syfe a bit too dramatically. "Don't think you can go easy on me because I'm a girl. One slip up on your doing and I'll end you!" Nami released Heian's arm and placed her hands on her lap. "Who do you think is going to win Heian? I have no money to bet but this isn't going to end well~"

Well this was certainly interesting.

 

The other members of VNSH had decided to go spar and train, and at one point Heian was presented with the option of being referee. Apparently his reaction time was too slow, and so Nami decided that Heian would come (Whether he wanted to or not) and be the ref.

"I...uh..." He stammered upon being placed on the ground, "I dunno."

Nami frowned before slinging an arm over his shoulder. "Come on. It'll be fun~ Unless you're still too shy."  Nami took her arm off him and crossed her arms together. "Well, if anything, I don't bite. It might take you a while to get used to her crap of a personality and I don't know  much about Syfe." She looked back down over to him. "If it makes you feel any better, I can ref with you. Just be sure not to get caught in the mess of all that fighting they're going to be doing. Vyona might start getting a bit to violent..." 

chase facepalmed as they entered the dorm. " we forgot haru" he said angerily. chase layed down his face in the pillow and let otu a loud sigh. he rolled over and facepalmed again. " we some how forgot to check on our leader wow we're an awesoem team" chase said. he mostly blamed himself though. he sat up and open the blinds of the dorm window slightly. " atleast the training we're doing is in the moon light right" chase said trying to find the rbigth side of something.

"I...uh...sure?" Heian asked, one of  his ears flicking. This Nami girl and the Vyona girl were starting to frighten him. Heian was usually brave, but it's hard to be brave when you're not sure if one or two of your team members  might be psychotic. "Just...uh...do what you want, I guess. I'll just sit here and watch...I guess." Heian said, briefly wondering if the only reason he was reffing was because he was the weakest.

Nami shook him roughly in a hug out satisfaction. "YAY! I'm taking that as a yes then! Don't worry, we don't to do much. For the most part, we're only watching." "If you won't make a move then I will!" Vyona said, somewhat sounding excited and angry at the same time even though nothing happened yet. She was probably feeling a bit too violent today. Vyona swept her staff in front of her and lines of fireballs lined up in front of her. With a snap of her fingers, they were shot out from their position, kind of like missiles, and towards Syfe. Nami frowned. "But she is the captain, so if anything is damaged, she's going to be the one to deal with it." 

psychotic, pffft please they both could be.

Syfe whipped out his pistols, and shot them rapid fire, lightning coursing through the bullets, at the line of fireballs, effectively neutralizing them. "Someone's impatient." Syfe said cockily. He sprinted forward, switching both of his pistols to blade form, and leaped over Vyona, spinning around in the air, as to face her back. He began to unleash a flurry of attacks, each precise and calculated to impact the place of most damage. He finished off the series of strikes, and flipped back, linking his weapon into dualblade form. He stood back at full height. Syfe spun his dualblade, and looked at his opponent and team captain. Adrenaline was beginning to flow. He grinned at Vyona, and raised his weapon into a ready stance.

Vyona watched as Syfe leaped into the air over her and changed her staff into its spear form. But she wasn't quick enough. Taking her off balance, she managed to block most of Syfe's attacks but the last one knocked her backwards. She skidded across the floor hard on her back. As she lied there on the floor, she released a small chuckle before hopping back onto her feet. One knockdown like that wasn't going to stop her, or even leave a dent in her pride. Vyona's spear switched back into a staff and she slammed the end of it into the ground. Spikes of ice were starting to emerge from the floor. (Just try and dodge this.) she thought. Nami moved back as an ice spike started to raised from where she was sitting. "You idiot! Don't forget that Heian and I are still here!" Vyona didn't care though. She was in her zone now.

Syfe spun and sliced his way through the field of ice spikes. One emerged at his feet, launching him backwards. He skidded on his front. Syfe pushed himself up with his weapon. "Fancy." He muttered, referring to the attack. Back on his feet, Syfe launched himself through the field of ice, launching himself off the various icicles. Finding himself near Vyona, he began to bring his dualblade in front of him. Once close enough, Syfe stopped himself, thrusting his weapon forward, charging the blades with electricity. Afterwards, he spun the dualblade in an attack, swinging it again towards Vyona. He needed to prove himself ready for Beacon.

Vyona pulled her staff out of the ground and again it changed to a spear. Due to all of the huge ice spikes sticking out of the ground, she lost sight of him and readied herself. She heard static noise and raised her spear up in a split second before being hit by Syfe's weapons, blocking them. She avoided her skin touching the blades to prevent being electricuted and swung her spear down, clashing the blades away from her. Vyona took a deep breath, about to be out of breath soon, before dashing onto one of the ice spikes and launching herself in the air. Catching sight of him, she gripped her hold on her spear before thrusting it downward towards him.

Syfe parried the spear, and stepped back. He needed to comprehend the situation. Granted, this also gave his opponent time to do the same, but that was an acceptable loss. His instincts were good, but sometimes what you really needed was a good perspective on the situation. Syfe processed the fight so far. Vyona had shown incredible aptitude for the glyphs she used, and her reflexes were excellent. However, Syfe couldn't help but feel that she wasn't quite as proficient with her spear at close range. So it seemed that a constant sequence of attacks at close range would be the most effective against this particular opponent. Syfe dashed forward again, a sword in one hand and a pistol in the other. He sliced downward quickly, following the attack with five shots rapid fire, which preceded a spin and swing with his other blade. During that attack, he switched his pistol to sword form, and finished that certain string of attacks with another stab.

Vyona easily dodged the attack of the boy's sword but didn't see his gunshots coming and tripped backwards, one of the bullets just grazing her forehead enough to scratch her skin and cause blood to leak out. She switched her weapon back to a staff and clashed it with Syfe's blade. (Damn, when did he become this fast. I can barely keep up with his attacks.) ​Vyona felt the trickling of blood seep out from her wound and she gave her staff a hard wave. A green wave of pure dust came at him fast and Syfe barely dodged it. The two of them jumped back, both worn out from this battle that could have been going on for hours now but readied themselves again and charged forth at one another. Vyona was ready to use her semblance when something hard and cold jabbed her in the middle of the face and she stopped where she was. One of Nami's pistols were pointing directly in the middle of her nose, the same with Syfe. "You two had a fun play date but don't want it to end." She gave that creepy smile again. "Make one move and I'll blast your brains out." She applied pressure to the trigger. "And I'm dead serious~" Vyona and Syfe said nothing and Nami's pistols went back to one rapier and she placed it into her holder. "Great!~ NOW I don't know about you but I'm a bit bored of watching." she pouted. "Besides, Vyona is going to have to take care of all these damages you guys made in here huh?" Vyona looked over to see that the gym was now reduced to a mere wreck, as if a tornado ripped into there. "...oh."

Roy waited on the rooftop of the building until it was 4 am.  Aka did the same, but only until 12.  After they had delivered the news to Ozpin and Glynda, they were told to act normally and focus on training the freshmen.

Team HAVC showed up to training mostly on time, or should I say, Team AVC?  Aka was fairly easy with their training, or so she thought, having them complete a series of weird tasks.  The first of which were to sneak up on a Beowolf and pick out a hair on it's back without being noticed individually.  She monitored them on her scroll as they tried to accomplish this very first one.  After that, there were two more tasks that they'd have to come back and ask her herself after providing proof they had completed the last one.

 

Roy continued to wait after greeting Team HAVC quite nicely, which was very out of character, or was it?  Was he just purposely being mean to Team DASY?  Probably, but for now, he continued to wait.

 It was extremely difficult for Aria to wake up especially at 3 in the morning since they're meeting Roy at 4. Her alarm clock blared like a horn as her hand searched for the snooze button. After smashing the snooze button 10 times, she rose from her bed yawning a bit. The room was still dark due to it being 3 in the morning, but one button from a lamp brighten the room enough for Aria to reach the bathroom. After Aria brushed her teeth, washed her face, and changed into her regular clothes, she went up to the center of the room. "Hey! Time to get up guys!"

After smashing the snooze button 10 times, she rose from her bed yawning a bit. The room was still dark due to it being 3 in the morning, but one button from a lamp brighten the room enough for Aria to reach the bathroom. A knock at the door to the room, and a call from Davis came out. "Is everyone decent?" He asked, hoping that they were so he could get in. He forgot the time when doing warm-up laps earlier and forgot to get the others up. "We're running late!"
