It is the second day at Beacon, you are on the cliffs with a bunch of strangers...or friends (decide amongst yourselves) and are about to start your very first trial: falling.  Crazy old Ozpin is telling everyone to have a landing strategy.  It is up to you to take the first step.  Begin!

Ozpin and Glynda's speech:

Everyone currently stood on the cliffs, standing on some kind of platform.  For some reason, each platform having the school's insignia.  Ozpin and Ms. Goodwitch were standing before them, it was kind of exciting and nerve racking all at the same time.  What were they going to tell the students.

"For years you have trained to become warriors," the gray haired man began, as he addressed all the students.  "Today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.""Now," Glynda continued, "I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams.  Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion.  Each of you will be given teammates, today.""These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time, here at Beacon.  So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well.  That being said, first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

There were an abundant of reactions, ranging from both sides of the spectrum.  It would continue for the rest of the authority figures' speech.  Regardless, Ozpin continued."After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest.  You will meet opposition along the way.  Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die.  You will be monitored and graded for the duration of the initiation, but our instructors will not intervene.  You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics.  Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff.  You will guard that item, as well as your standing, and we will grade you appropriately.  Are there any questions?"

And with those last couple of words, one by one everyone prepared to be tossed into the air.  Whether anyone responded or not, did not matter.  Ozpin already had a set answer.

"Good.  Now, take your positions."For some reason, someone always had a question about the landing strategy and so the gray haired man answered accordingly.

"No, you will be falling,"

"Oh great, some guy is asking questions," Haru thought.  "What an idiot."

"No, you will be using your own landing strategy."

And with that, everyone was tossed into the air.  Haru, felt very natural in the air, holding his backpack as he flipped and twisted a couple times, somehow avoiding mysteriously placed crows. *cough* Monty *cough*  He decided to try and stay in the air for as long as possible, it seemed fun that way.  He spread his arms in the air, picking up a bountiful of air resistance."This is great!" the white haired boy yelled out, diverting some of the other first years' attention.

He looked around to see the possible competition, as well as teammates.

"Now which one of you are my future teammates?"

chase nodded and smiled hopefully. " i'll be the diversion just grab one for me if possible please" chase said glancing at the beowolf. he then turned back to aka. " if one of us gets severly hurt you have to take fault for being crazy right" he asked. it was something he wnated to know since there was a chance that they would all have to fight 8 million deathstalkers ( sorry if that was wrong) on their own.

When Roy disappeared Aria blinked at the piece of paper sitting in her hand. "Eh?" She read the paper only for her to become even more confused as the words were jumbled in her head. "Look for 3 sheets, put part of your soul, and figure it out?" Aria scratched her head and headed the paper to her teammates. "Is this some sort of riddle? Cause I'm not really good with those kind of stuff."

"No, seems plain and simple to me." Davis said, looking at the paper. "I'm pretty sure it's saying that we should destroy the gold with each of us using a quarter of our power, and thus we will destroy the gold entrapping the paper, and keep our energy decent." He said, looking to the group. "Or at least that's my first idea."

"It could work." Sora said softly. "We have to try it." The faunus maidgirl took out her scythe. "Who takes point and who takes rear?" She asked the team.

"Oh, I knew that." She grinned. Deciding to put her mind to work she added up the total amount of energy they would use. "So to destroy all the gold on the 3 sheets we would each lose 75% of our energy." Aria frowned a bit worried. "That's a lot of energy and we're going back to the forest creeping with Grimms." When Sora asked a question, she cocked her head. "Point? Rear?" Aria was asking alot of questions today.

"If by point you mean who takes front, I'll take front." Davis replied, then hearing Aria's concern. "Even so, after each one, we can rest a little and recover between ones, and if we were to encounter enemy's, at least we would all be able to fight back." He told Aria. "It would be better for us all to be a little weak, but able to fight, rather han have one or two cover for the rest, at least I think so." He thin gave off a big grin. "Besides, you got me. I can handle most of what's out there easy any day of the week."

"You're right and oh yea, since it's 4 in the morning and it's really dark out, we should bring flashlights, couple snacks, and water. We have no idea how long it's going to take to find 3 sheets of paper in a forest." Aria said.

"You'll end up attracting animals with flashlights and snacks." Yuki said seriously.

"It shouldn't take that long, we just have to be careful." She said with a smile.

"Oh, you're right." Aria laughed. 'God I'm an idiot.' She thought. "So should we get going now?"

"I would say so." Davis said, looking off. "I'd guess... Somewhere near where we fought the Nevermore will be where most of them will be, at least I think." He said. looking out. "We should get going and maybe we'll have this finished by twelve."

chase nodded and smiled hopefully. " i'll be the diversion just grab one for me if possible please" chase said glancing at the beowolf. he then turned back to aka. "Alright, if you're okay with it," Alvis said.

"Be careful, you hear?" Veronica chided. "Don't do anything stupid!"

The two moved away from Chase in opposite directions, positioning themselves on opposite sides of the Beowolf. Now they had to wait for the right moment.

Sora hefted Angel's Light.

"I'm the fastest with my semblence. I'll scout it out and let you know what's coming." She said, then turned to head out, but didnt flash off until Davis or Aria, or Yuki even, either agreed or asked her to not do so.

chase took a deep breathe and walked infront of the beowolf. " alright don't kill m eplease" he whispered walking infront of it. hesnapped his fingers and walked over to slowly. after he was abotu a foot away from it he looked at the others. " what should i do" he asked scardly.

"All right, just don't crash into any trees or get yourself in trouble ok?" Aria laughed.

Chase looked at the other two. Alvis mouthed, " I don't know, just don't get killed!"

The Beowolf was watching Chase. He watched as Chase slowly walked up to it. Then Chase stopped. The Beowolf was slightly confused, since most of the time creatures would move away from it. After a moment, the Beowolf decided that the boy would be its prey, and lunged at Chase.

chase quickly ran backwards looking for his weapon in the process. he started looking around the area he was in and noticed it next to aka's feet. chase growled and stopped moving. acting like an idiot he opened his arms liek he was goin gto embrace it. " come here boy come on yo uwant a doggy biscuit do ya. oh ibet yo udo" he cooed hoping it would work.

What is he doing? Alvis thought. That probably will get him killed!

The Beowolf jumped toward Chase and his outstretched arms. Just then, Veronica and Alvis jumped from their hiding spots. Veronica jumped behind the Beowolf, easily plucking two hairs from its back. It was so focused on Chase that it didn't even notice. Alvis leaped toward Chase, grabbed him, and used his gauntlets to launch them upward. The Beowolf faceplanted. By the time it got up and looked around, Alvis and Chase were already hidden in the treetops. After a moment Veronica found them.

"Sorry, I only managed to get two," she said, giving one to Chase.

"It's better than nothing," Alvis said. "Now I guess I'll go get mine. You guys think this thing will fall for the same trick twice?"

chase looked startled but nodded nonetheless. all of a sudden he flipped otu and quickly jumped to a different branch. " i know this is a horrid moment to bring it but there's a spider on that branch alvis" he whispered looking at the crawling creature.chase was fine with taijitus, beowulfs, and heck even deathstalkers btu spiders were creepy to him. he shivered at the thought of it crawling on his arm.

Syfe scanned his surroundings, the magnitude of the damages he had caused now dawning on him. Icicles torn through the floor, walls on fire, and just in general a lot of destruction. He scratched his head, looking for words. "Oops." Were the first words out of his lips. Syfe switched his swords to pistols, and holstered them. "Uh, you don't think the school's insurance covers it, maybe?" He seemed uneasy.

Nodding, Sora sped off into the forest, searching for their prize.

The Forest Temple was obvious, but she knew of no other place really...that wluld have to be left up to her teammates.

David, Aria and Yuki walked around the familar forest looking for any signs of a paper covered in gold. Since it was still early in the morning it was kinda hard to make out where they were going, well at least for Aria. The water Faunus squinted at the dark shapes sometimes mistaking them as Grimms but were actually brushes or oddly shaped trees. "This feels like a horror movie doesn't it?" Her voice was calm as she put her hands behind her head.

"If your into that kind of thing, yeah, it might, to me this is just another day." Davis replied, with a chuckle.

Sora dropped in front of them.

"One of the sheets is at the forest temple. The other one is at the base of the cliff. Unfortunately, I could not find the other one."

"One of the sheets is at the forest temple. The other one is at the base of the cliff. Unfortunately, I could not find the other one."

"I'll bet you a good penny that the last one is hidden where a big monster lived, and a big monster that I know of that roams this forest that we can access easily is a Deathstalker's nest, and they normally live in caves, did you see any noticeable caves on your scout?" Davis asked, looking around for one that was noticeable. His feline eyes, which were more accustom to darkness than the average Faunus, but couldn't spot one.

Yuki scoffed at Sora. She was being a bit of a show off.

"There should be caves around here." Yuki said seriously.

"Alright then, Sora, did you see any caves then on your treck big enough for a DeathStalker to call home?" Davis asked. "It'll probably be our second stop, after the one in the base of the cliff."
