It is the second day at Beacon, you are on the cliffs with a bunch of strangers...or friends (decide amongst yourselves) and are about to start your very first trial: falling.  Crazy old Ozpin is telling everyone to have a landing strategy.  It is up to you to take the first step.  Begin!

 

 

Ozpin and Glynda's speech:

 

 

Everyone currently stood on the cliffs, standing on some kind of platform.  For some reason, each platform having the school's insignia.  Ozpin and Ms. Goodwitch were standing before them, it was kind of exciting and nerve racking all at the same time.  What were they going to tell the students.

 

"For years you have trained to become warriors," the gray haired man began, as he addressed all the students.  "Today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.""Now," Glynda continued, "I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams.  Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion.  Each of you will be given teammates, today.""These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time, here at Beacon.  So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well.  That being said, first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

 

There were an abundant of reactions, ranging from both sides of the spectrum.  It would continue for the rest of the authority figures' speech.  Regardless, Ozpin continued."After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest.  You will meet opposition along the way.  Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die.  You will be monitored and graded for the duration of the initiation, but our instructors will not intervene.  You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics.  Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff.  You will guard that item, as well as your standing, and we will grade you appropriately.  Are there any questions?"

 

 

 

And with those last couple of words, one by one everyone prepared to be tossed into the air.  Whether anyone responded or not, did not matter.  Ozpin already had a set answer.

 

"Good.  Now, take your positions."For some reason, someone always had a question about the landing strategy and so the gray haired man answered accordingly.

 

"No, you will be falling,"

"Oh great, some guy is asking questions," Haru thought.  "What an idiot."

"No, you will be using your own landing strategy."

 

And with that, everyone was tossed into the air.  Haru, felt very natural in the air, holding his backpack as he flipped and twisted a couple times, somehow avoiding mysteriously placed crows. *cough* Monty *cough*  He decided to try and stay in the air for as long as possible, it seemed fun that way.  He spread his arms in the air, picking up a bountiful of air resistance."This is great!" the white haired boy yelled out, diverting some of the other first years' attention.

 

He looked around to see the possible competition, as well as teammates.

 

"Now which one of you are my future teammates?"

chase sighed as his ears twitch then jumped at what he heard. " what? we won't let you" he whispered looking at the cieling. " come on guys there's something on the roof" chase said slipping his shoes on. he grabbed his weapon and ran out of the dorm. he looked around and and ran to a staircase. " hopefully this leads to the roof" he thought starting up them.

Veronica and Alvis ran after Chase. "Chase, I'm sure it was nothing. You're probably just tired and hungry.... Oh! I've heard of this great restaurant that's in town! We should go there!"

"I have some cash," Alvis said. "And if you're worried about payment, you can always pay me back later."

"Yeah! Let's hurry! It might get busy soon!" Veronica said, grabbing hold of Chase's arm.

As Veronica tried to lead Chase away from the stairs, Alvis looked up into the darkness. He had no idea if there actually was anyone up there; his Semblance wasn't X-ray vision. He turned away. It's only the first day of classes. It's not like anything bad would happen already...right?

chase yanked his arm out of veronica's grip and shook his head. " didn't you hear it some one was yelling on the roof of the dorms" chase said fratically. before they could say anything he ran up to the roof. he stopped at the door and took a deep breathe.for some stupid reason he knocked before opening the door. " who's up here" chase asked not being able to see anyone.

Alvis sighed. "Why would you knock? Move." He moved Chase back and slowly turned the doorknob. He opened the door wide enough so that he could get a glimpse of who was on the roof. It was only Aka and some other guy. He closed the door without a sound. "It's just the leader. It'd be best not to disturb her. We don't want her to get pissed at us before training even starts."

"See Chase? It's nothing. Now let's go. I'm starving!" Veronica said to the boy.

chase sighed and nodded. " i guess i was just hearing stuff" he whispered walking downstairs. chase put the money he still held in his hadns in his pcoket and frowned. " but i coudl have sworn i heard three voices up there" chase said. he swished his tail violently and sighed. chase hung his head low and pulled his hat down. " i'm an idiot" he whispered to himself.

Aria blinked expecting a bigger reaction from Davis as he did some fancy stuff with Yuki. "Hi Dav, I'm Aria Waters." Instead of giving Davis a hand shake, she high-five him with a grin.

Aka noticed the door fling open for a few seconds and decided to do nothing.  Roy, still busy in thoughts, kept to himself for the moment.  He was contemplating on what they had said.  Semblances?  Why were they specifically looking for them?  And why did they want to deal with the faunus?  It was very confusing indeed."Tell Ozpin, Aka," he ordered.

 

Aka reached for her Scroll and tried to communicate to the professor, to no avail.  The line was busy."No good."

Aria blinked expecting a bigger reaction from Davis as he did some fancy stuff with Yuki. "Hi Dav, I'm Aria Waters." Instead of giving Davis a hand shake, she high-five him with a grin.

"Nice to meet you, too." He smiled. "Now, we should probably get going, the reservation is in an hour." He noted. "We should get walking now so we can make it." He added.

(It's quiet.)

 "Dinner sounds good." Aria got her backpack and put on her shoes. She never had dinner with other people other than her mom so she was unsure if she has to have table manners. "Is it somewhere fancy?" She asked. Aria also never been to a fancy restuarant, only in movies where the main characters go undercover or meet someone important. She chuckled quietly at the thought of her teammates dressed up as super spies, she watches too many TV shows.

"Not too fancy, just a little place downtown, sometimes its a bit busy but it's mi favorite, so when I want to go I reserve." Davis told Aria, turning to head out the door.

"I can drive us." Sora piped up. "But the backseat is a bit cramped..."

As the three made their way back to Beacon after a hearty meal, Alvis felt like he was forgetting something. Shouldn't we have done something else today? Hmm.... Oh well, we can just to it tomorrow. Now we have to worry about training with that Aka chick... Alvis sighed.
