It is the second day at Beacon, you are on the cliffs with a bunch of strangers...or friends (decide amongst yourselves) and are about to start your very first trial: falling.  Crazy old Ozpin is telling everyone to have a landing strategy.  It is up to you to take the first step.  Begin!

Ozpin and Glynda's speech:

Everyone currently stood on the cliffs, standing on some kind of platform.  For some reason, each platform having the school's insignia.  Ozpin and Ms. Goodwitch were standing before them, it was kind of exciting and nerve racking all at the same time.  What were they going to tell the students.

"For years you have trained to become warriors," the gray haired man began, as he addressed all the students.  "Today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.""Now," Glynda continued, "I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams.  Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion.  Each of you will be given teammates, today.""These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time, here at Beacon.  So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well.  That being said, first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

There were an abundant of reactions, ranging from both sides of the spectrum.  It would continue for the rest of the authority figures' speech.  Regardless, Ozpin continued."After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest.  You will meet opposition along the way.  Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die.  You will be monitored and graded for the duration of the initiation, but our instructors will not intervene.  You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics.  Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff.  You will guard that item, as well as your standing, and we will grade you appropriately.  Are there any questions?"

And with those last couple of words, one by one everyone prepared to be tossed into the air.  Whether anyone responded or not, did not matter.  Ozpin already had a set answer.

"Good.  Now, take your positions."For some reason, someone always had a question about the landing strategy and so the gray haired man answered accordingly.

"No, you will be falling,"

"Oh great, some guy is asking questions," Haru thought.  "What an idiot."

"No, you will be using your own landing strategy."

And with that, everyone was tossed into the air.  Haru, felt very natural in the air, holding his backpack as he flipped and twisted a couple times, somehow avoiding mysteriously placed crows. *cough* Monty *cough*  He decided to try and stay in the air for as long as possible, it seemed fun that way.  He spread his arms in the air, picking up a bountiful of air resistance."This is great!" the white haired boy yelled out, diverting some of the other first years' attention.

He looked around to see the possible competition, as well as teammates.

"Now which one of you are my future teammates?"

Yuki scurried down from her tree, shooting at the lion creature. "I did absolutely nothing to attract you!!" She yelled, changing the form of Nekomata. She ran incredibly fast, and up a tree, facing the creature. "Leave...me....ALONE!" She yelled, firing two rockets at the creatures eye.

Davis had been the absolute last to launch. He made sure of that, applying pressure and a bit of aura to the jump plate forced it to stay down and Ozpin to increase in power, eventually, when the plate hit just below his limit, he readily took a stance finally, waiting for the moment when the pad jet him up, and when it did, his legs coiled back, and like a spring, he shot out extremely fast and far. "Ha! When the others are busy fighting their way there, I'll be half-way back and have a option of who I'm pared with in the end, rather than some random kid..." he thought, flying through the air, he got out King's Gash and changed it to its sickle form, and flew. "Like a lion on his prey, I'll get someone worth my tim- Ooh. A lion-esk enemy... " he muttered, deciding to take it out instead of landing near where he was originally planning. He was hungry for a fight anyway. So he arked down at it, when rockets shot out of no where and...

Sora stopped.

"Sora." She said softly. "I guess so." She smiled shyly, her scythe folding before being stowed away. She curtsied extremely cutely. "Glad to meet you, Aria." Her fox ears slightly relaxed. "Shall we go and finish this test?"

"Sure Sora now that we're partners, we need to go to this temple?" Aria paused as she noticed the fox ears. "You're a faunus too? That's sweet!" She was about to complement her partner some more when the Shark Grims she ignored earlier decided to attack as the first one leapted toward Aria determined to bite her head off. Taking out her katana from the sheathe, Aria sliced the Grim in one swift movement as the head fell to the ground and the body was motionless. But it wasn't over as more Shark Grims was getting ready to attack. "I guess this is the part where I handle the right side and you take the left side?" She joked.

Heian let the weapon click and shift back to its sword form as he sheathed it behind himself. He smiled, looking at this newcomer and his current partner. Someone who could down one of those wolf-things with no issue? Yes please.

"Sweet." Heian said, cracking his knuckles and running up to get closer to his new partner, "Let's get this done, then!" He said, pumping a fist and smiling widely at his new partner. "Name's Heian. Yours?"

Angel's Light went black as it folded out.

"I guess so."

Entering semi-auto mode, she fired off and was propelled forward. Hitting Full Auto, she spun into the air in a flip spraying the Grimm below. Sh ended the flip with a slash, taking out two Grimm. Sora spun her weapon and sliced another in half before folding in to gun mode and began spraying the Grimm full auto with armor piercing rounds.

Aria whistled highly impressed as two Shark Grimms pounced behind her. Before they could even touch her, her blade glowed purple and lightning erupted from the blade. She sliced the two Shark Grimms electrifying them for good measure. Then using the left over water from the wave, she covered the Grimms in H20 allowing just a touch from her katana to electrify the Shark Grimms due to the attraction of water. As the last of the Grimms were finished she wiped the sweat from her forehead. "Are they actual Grimms, or are they just people dressed up in funny shark costumes?" Her tone showed no sign of whether she was serious or not.

Vyona sat on a step that was connected to the ruins. She had a chess piece in her hand, a white bishop, and twiddled it around between her fingers. She seemed to appeared bored but didn't bother trying to further talk to Nami. She sighed and leaned her face into her other hand and looked towards the edge of the forest. Nothing. Her eyebrows furrowed. (So I'm assuming that when everybody makes it here, the test will be done? Well that's what it looks like since nobody showed up besides that lolita. What a bunch of weaklings I'm stuck working with.) Meanwhile, Nami was walking from pillar to pillar, looking at them to see if they had to trigger something from it to complete the mission but she came up with nothing. She stopped walking and crossed her arms. (That's odd. Is something suppose to happen.) Nami looked back towards Vyona. (Well I can always ask her but she probably doesn't know either.) She sighed and went to go sit down on the step, making sure not to sit too close to Vyona. Vyona didn't bother to notice her and kept staring off into the forest. There was just plain, dead silence. Small skirmishes between the students and the Grimm could be faintly heard but neither of them said nothing. "Well then. It seems that you're not one to play the nice card with people." Vyona just kept staring ahead. "And by that you mean?" "Usually when two people meet in such circumstances, by now they would start forming a bond." "And you make it sound like it's a bad thing. I have no business with you." "Aw, now that's just cruel. Not that I have any problem with it, but you are going to have to team up with others later on." A frown crossed Vyona's face. "Now that's just sad, you just finding that out." "Shut it. I already knew that." Nami looked down at her bishop piece. "Then how about fixing your social skills a bit? If I didn't know any better how to handle your kind, I would be rather gloomy right now." "....." "But we seem to be getting along smoothly so that's a start, don't you think?" "You're really annoying, you know that?" "Likewise."

Sora shrugged.

"I don't know." She paused. "You control Dust better then most I have seen." She said softly. "And...you said you were a Faunus?"

Aria laughed sheepishly, flattered by her compliment. "Thanks, my mom is one of the teachers in Beacon. She taught me a lot of things and even gave me this katana. My katana can do elemental abilities thanks to Dusts but of course, I'm limited to how much I can use." When Sora asked the Faunus question, she nodded. "I may not look like one right now, but whenever I'm in salt water I have this mermaid tail." Aria scratched her head in embarrassment. Her emotions always falter whenever she mentions her stupid fish tail.

Yuki managed to see Davis before the rocket actually hit. "I have to stop being so reckless...." She muttered, and darted up the tree. If you have even seen cats play and run around, they are fast, reckless, and can miss everything up. "I just hope this works." She said, jumping from the tree and successfully landing on the creatures shoulder. She climbed quickly up to the top of its head. She grabbed Davis by sleeve and jumped back onto the creatures shoulder and managed to land onto the tree. And she all did this before the rocket caused any major damage. "Think about what you're doing before you do it!" Yuki snapped at Davis.

(Sorry guys, I was sick yesterday and still kinda sick today.  Yeah, it sucks that it was Christmas xP  Anyways, I'm ready to RP again.)

Haru noticed something trailing behind him, but didn't want to provoke it.  He was injured and his aura was in no condition for another heavy fight.  Without his weapon he was in deep sh-  Haru began to jog, spotting the temple just a minute jog away.

"What is there to tell you? I'm a Faunus, but other than that, I think I'm pretty normal," Veronica told the boy. I've only just met you. I'm not going to tell you anything.... yet.

(Excuses, excuses)

Alvis noticed that the boy began to jog away. He sensed me? Blegh, stealth isn't my forte anyway. He wanted to show that he wasn't a hostile, but he wasn't sure if he should interact with the other boy. Holding a conversation was too much work. Alvis decided to just follow the boy to the temple.

chase sighed at her behavour and jumped in to a nearby tree. " i'll scout from above and tell you if i see anything alright" chase said before jumping into another tree. " dang that bunny gal is hard to talk with so quiet and grrrrrrrr i hate quiet people" chase thought making an angry face. he soon stopepd and looked below to find a small lake. " HEY veronica i found a wierd lake" chase shouted pulling his weapon out.

Sora shrugged."I don't know." She paused. "You control Dust better then most I have seen." She said softly. "And...you said you were a Faunus?"

"Well, watch what you're doing next time." Yuki said.

"Thank you. My name is Yuuzuki Sunil." she introduced.

"I prefer Yuki however." she said with a smile.

Sora's ears tweaked. The black fox ears were plain as day, and her like colored fox tail curled aound her leg.

"Fox." She said softly. "Glad to meet another Faunus..."

She giggled. "And your mom is a teacher? Funnny almost coincidence."

"Well, watch what you're doing next time." Yuki said."Thank you. My name is Yuuzuki Sunil." she introduced."I prefer Yuki however." she said with a smile.

"You sound like my mom..." Davis sighed. "My name is Davis, Davis Goliath. Call me Davis, Dav, Lion-Boy, or Goalie." He introduced, his bright eyes and smile agreed with his personality: cocky, a bit arrogant at times, and confident, but happy and kind when he needs to be.

Haru stopped as soon as he was on the edge of the temple.  He turned around to see a guy following him, but was surprised.

"Damn it, I have a partner now," he thought.  "Hey there!  Hurry up and get a piece, we'll get acquainted once that is handled with!" he yelled out to the boy.

Behind the boy was a King Taijutsu, slithering and sneaking behind the both of them.  He had noticed it slivering earlier and had to run since he had no defensive measure...that is until he saw Alvis with his beloved weapon.  He hadn't actually noticed the boy until now.

"Is that my weapon?" he asked as the boy continued to approach.

The white-haired boy turned and glanced at Alvis. Alvis made the mistake of looking back at him. Welp. There goes flying solo.

The boy pointed out a King Taijitu behind Alvis. Alvis sprinted up to the temple. Since when did that get here?

"Is that my weapon?" the boy asked.

Alvis glanced at the staff. "I don't know, is it?" That didn't really matter now. The boy was weaponless at the moment and they needed to fight. Alvis tossed him the staff.

Haru caught the staff with his left hand and immediately felt the pain once again.  It was going to bother him for a while.  He had been relying on his reflection powers for so long that he didn't actually gauge how much aura he had...it was little.  He was a frail, dinky fighter, meant to never get hit.  Dps (Damage per second), if you will.

Although there was pain, he hid it well and calmed the staff onto his belt, taking out the sword part of Heavenly Wish with his right hand.  Haru ran the other direction to a pillar and pointed the sword out, using his reflect power to push all damage backwards, propelling him towards the Taijutsu.  The pillar fell as part of the temple cracked."Get a piece!" he yelled.

"Well Davis, we have a mission! Let's get too it!" Yuki exclaimed, hopping down from the tree. "You have to keep up or I'll leave you behind! since you're my partner now." She said, looking at Davis.

(lol dinky)

Geez, try not to bring the place down. The others can't get here if there's no temple left.

"Get a piece!"

Alvis saw several pedestals in the center of the ruins; there were chess pieces on them. Alvis grabbed the nearest one: a white knight.

He then turned back toward the Taijitu. His partner had more or less launched himself at the creature. Whether that was smart or reckless, Alvis wasn't sure.

He ran toward the giant snake and lit his hands up. He wasn't sure how to fight this thing. Take out its eyes, perhaps. "Hey!" he yelled to his partner. "Got any ideas?"

Haru pointed his sword out as he pointed his left arm to the side creating some sort of mirror.  "I got one!" yelled out.

Haru began attack one side of the snake as the other side began to retain the same damage.  It was one of his unique powers, a true reflection.  As long as he didn't get hit, he would be alright.

"Kill it!"

Sora's ears tweaked. The black fox ears were plain as day, and her like colored fox tail curled aound her leg."Fox." She said softly. "Glad to meet another Faunus..."She giggled. "And your mom is a teacher? Funnny almost coincidence."

"Ha ha, fox? That's cute!" She gently touched the ears surprised at how smooth it was. "It's hard to imagine any human cruel enough to make fun of someone like you."

When Sora mentioned her mother, Aria's face turned more red in embarrassment. "Yea what a coincidence, if she becomes my teacher again in front of all these students, she'll embarrass me for sure." Ever since her mother started to teach Aria, her mother would punish her in order to get rid of Aria's laid-back personality but failed miserably. The thought of her mother punishing her in front of the students would shame her to no end. Before she could continue any thoughts she decided to change the subject. "Now that we know each other a little bit, how about we head toward the temple?"
