It is the second day at Beacon, you are on the cliffs with a bunch of strangers...or friends (decide amongst yourselves) and are about to start your very first trial: falling.  Crazy old Ozpin is telling everyone to have a landing strategy.  It is up to you to take the first step.  Begin!

Ozpin and Glynda's speech:

Everyone currently stood on the cliffs, standing on some kind of platform.  For some reason, each platform having the school's insignia.  Ozpin and Ms. Goodwitch were standing before them, it was kind of exciting and nerve racking all at the same time.  What were they going to tell the students.

"For years you have trained to become warriors," the gray haired man began, as he addressed all the students.  "Today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.""Now," Glynda continued, "I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams.  Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion.  Each of you will be given teammates, today.""These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time, here at Beacon.  So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well.  That being said, first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

There were an abundant of reactions, ranging from both sides of the spectrum.  It would continue for the rest of the authority figures' speech.  Regardless, Ozpin continued."After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest.  You will meet opposition along the way.  Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die.  You will be monitored and graded for the duration of the initiation, but our instructors will not intervene.  You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics.  Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff.  You will guard that item, as well as your standing, and we will grade you appropriately.  Are there any questions?"

And with those last couple of words, one by one everyone prepared to be tossed into the air.  Whether anyone responded or not, did not matter.  Ozpin already had a set answer.

"Good.  Now, take your positions."For some reason, someone always had a question about the landing strategy and so the gray haired man answered accordingly.

"No, you will be falling,"

"Oh great, some guy is asking questions," Haru thought.  "What an idiot."

"No, you will be using your own landing strategy."

And with that, everyone was tossed into the air.  Haru, felt very natural in the air, holding his backpack as he flipped and twisted a couple times, somehow avoiding mysteriously placed crows. *cough* Monty *cough*  He decided to try and stay in the air for as long as possible, it seemed fun that way.  He spread his arms in the air, picking up a bountiful of air resistance."This is great!" the white haired boy yelled out, diverting some of the other first years' attention.

He looked around to see the possible competition, as well as teammates.

"Now which one of you are my future teammates?"

Haru pointed his sword out as he pointed his left arm to the side creating some sort of mirror.  "I got one!" yelled out.

Haru began attack one side of the snake as the other side began to retain the same damage.  It was one of his unique powers, a true reflection.  As long as he didn't get hit, he would be alright.

"Kill it!"

That's not what I meant.... As the boy attacked one side, the other side was also getting hurt, as if he was attacking that one too. Some Semblance that is...

Alvis went for the other side. The snake lunged at him, but Alvis used his flames to propel himself back; this also slightly burned the head, but it didn't look like it had taken too much damage. Alvis jumped onto the top of its skull and started to pummel it with his flaming fists. With him and his partner both dealing damage, Alvis thought that this would be a quick fight.

"My semblance is pretty cool right, fellow human?" he asked as he continued to damage the snake.  Eventually it was weak enough to cut and so he pierced it from the middle and swung out one direction, also cutting the other.  He, along with his new partner, was able to subdue the Taijutsu...at least for a moment.  The other side began to move, as a white head popped out."Well then...." Haru chirped, jumping backwards.

"Ha ha, fox? That's cute!" She gently touched the ears surprised at how smooth it was. "It's hard to imagine any human cruel enough to make fun of someone like you."

When Sora mentioned her mother, Aria's face turned more red in embarrassment. "Yea what a coincidence, if she becomes my teacher again in front of all these students, she'll embarrass me for sure." Ever since her mother started to teach Aria, her mother would punish her in order to get rid of Aria's laid-back personality but failed miserably. The thought of her mother punishing her in front of the students would shame her to no end. Before she could continue any thoughts she decided to change the subject. "Now that we know each other a little bit, how about we head toward the temple?"

"Um...I said not exactly a coincidence." She smiled softly...and mewled a bit. She liked the touch actually. So smooth. "I made friends with a...real nice lady named Miss Jiana."

Sora's face went red, then she looked back to Aria. "I'd like to meet your mom though." She looked shyly though, then held out her hand. "Friends?"

"Uh, yeah..." Fellow human? Hm, I guess he's from a place with a lot of Faunus.

As the black snake head fell, a white one appeared. The other boy jumped back. Inversely, Alvis ran on the snake's body toward the head. He launched himself off of the snake's body as the head lunged, resulting in the Taijitu biting itself. Alvis then clasped both of his hands together, wrapped them in flames, and swung down on the white head.

"I think that's good," he said, gasping for air.

Haru walked away from Alvis and the snake and headed for the temple."When are the others getting here?  Or should we just head towards the cliffs?" he asked, turning back around.

Alvis turned to see his partner walking back toward the temple. "Hey!" He jumped off of the Taijitu and ran after him.

"When are the others getting here? Or should we just head towards the cliffs?"

"I say we wait. You look like you could use the rest," Alvis responded. Alvis then realized he didn't know his partner's name. "Hmm.... I believe that we have forgotten to introduce ourselves. I'm Alvis."

"Haru," he said, feeling another jolt of pain from his left arm.  "This is really getting annoying now."

Haru looked back to see the Taijitu KO'd and never ever ready to go.(Don't know where everyone is specifically but I believe all partners are introduced, so once everyone's converged, I'll introduce the enemies before returning to the cliffs.)

"Well Davis, we have a mission! Let's get too it!" Yuki exclaimed, hopping down from the tree. "You have to keep up or I'll leave you behind! since you're my partner now." She said, looking at Davis.

"Don't worry about me. I'm a Faunus, I've got attributes of a lion, so I'm pretty fast." He said, then leaping from the tree in an incredible hight. "And my semblance is pure power, so if I need to catch up I'll be fine." He gently flew back down to the earth, he landed and made a slight crater a little way's away from Yuki. "Come on, no time to loose, right, partner?"

There was some noise being made from the other side of the temple but whatever it was, it went by quick before suddenly stopping. It grew quiet again and Vyona grumbled as she stood up. "That had to be someone making all of that noise. I'm going back." Nami looked up. "Back where exactly?" "To the cliffs of course. There's no point in sitting here." Nami sighed and stood up. "I guess that's one thing we can agree on." she said in a muffled breath. She looked over to see that Vyona was already starting to walk around to the other part of the ruins where all of the noise was coming from. Nami quickened her pace to catch up. They both found that some damage was done to the pillars. "I don't think it was like this before. Ugh, now that's just vandalism." Vyona just looked at the pillars before turning around to face the edge of the forest and putting her hands together. They started to glow and she gave them a wave. A magic circle appeared under her and she shot up into the sky. She was about to get higher when she suddenly stopped in midair. Shocked, Vyona looked down to see that Nami was staring up at her with a smirk. "Well I guess you figured it by now that that's my semblance. You're kind of heavy, you know that?" Vyona's body was lowered but only a few inches above Nami's head. "Shall we get going?" And with that, Nami took Vyona's ankle with her still in midair. "I'm not your balloon. Get. Me. Down." "After you tried to leave your new partner. I think not." Vyona was going to protest more when she simply crossed her arms in defeat. "Hmph."

After pushing down the searing pain, he had noticed two people jump up.  How could Haru notice the King Taijitu, but not the two people already at the temples?  He was slipping.

"Great, so we weren't the first ones."

He looked around the temple to find a couple more pieces there.  He sat on the steps and began to wait it out.

"Hmm?" "Great now what is it?" "Is it just me or did i hear footsteps?" Vyona went silence, realizing that she caught the noise as well. Nami walked over back to where the damages to the ruins were, with Vyona being dragged through the air, to find somebody already there. Nami just stopped a few feet away from the person and stood there in silence. "...Oh so somebody finally decided to show u--" Vyona was suddenly interrupted when Nami let go of her ankle and she stopped floating. She came down with a thud to the ground, landing flat on her back. Vyona grumbled and brought out her staff. "That's the second time I fell like a brick today. You're pushing my patience." "Like you ever had any to begin with." Nami brought out her rapier with one hand and blocked as she clashed with Vyona's spear within a second. Vyona was still barking threats to Nami, but she went on as if she wasnt there and looked over at the boy. "So it seems that you've made it here in one piece? And speaking of piece, were you the one that were making all of that noise damaging the place? I don't recall you having to get that serious with this assignment." Nami pushed Vyona off of her rapier and placed it back in her sheath. Vyona seemed to calm down and she placed her staff back into its place. She gave the boy somewhat of a cold stare before turning away.

"Friends?"

"My mom? Oh you don't wanna meet my mom she's sorta well...fierce with her teaching." Aria shuttered at the thought then looked at Sora's hand. "Friends? Hey you don't even need to ask," She shook Sora's hand with a smile. "We're not only friends but partners right?" 'It's a good thing a shy Faunus like her, can make human friends.' she thought. Aria pointed toward the direction of the temple. "Now we should get going, if we're last, we'll look very silly."

When they arrived near the temple, the first thing Aria saw was the knocked out King Taijitu lying near the rubble. "Whoa! Beacon sure knows how to make a realistic looking Grimm!" She shouted as she ran over to the King Taijitu and poked it with her foot.

"Well, I was just protecting myself," Haru defended, rubbing the back of his hair and smiling a bit.  "I was thinking we could head to the cliffs as a group.  Might be easier that way," the white haired boy suggested.

He was straight to the point.  They needed an escape plan just in case another large creature of grimm tried to sneak up on them again.  Haru was injured and it was going to take a while before he could fight full strength.  Best thing to do was to group up, so everyone could watch their backs, and more importantly his.  He looked back as he heard someone make a big fuss of the Taijitu.

"I'm pretty sure she's mistaken.  That's as real as it gets," he thought.

"What? Just us three of us and that girl lingering over there?" Vyona said as she jabbed her thumb in the direction that the stranger was making noise from. "And what do you suppose happen to the rest of the people in the forest? Leave them? Oh but don't get me wrong, I would love to get all of this done and over with. The less people the better am I right? Less of a hassle and a headache"  She crossed her arms and looked away. "It's not like I need help from the likes of you anyways." Nami raised an eyebrow before speaking again. "Sure, why not. It gets the job done faster, right? Plus I don't really care either way, as long as our objective is met. I'm Nami by the way and the blond jerk over there is Vyona. Don't let her crap get to you, alright?"

"Alright!" Haru breathed out a sigh of relief very enthusiastically.  "But, my partner is somewhere around here," he continued, looking around.  "I believe.  Yup, he's just standing around, it's like he's not even there sometimes."

Haru pointed to the boy standing with the knight chess piece.

"That's Alvis.  Anyways, I was saying a group as in when everyone arrives," he laughed off.  "I don't wanna leave anyone behind for sure...as much as I really just want to sleep this off."  He finished the rest of his thoughts in his mind.  "Rest ALL of this off," he thought, looking at his arm.

Alvis looked to Haru. He was talking with two other students. He then looked to see two more by the Taijitu body. Let's hope it doesn't wake up anytime soon.

Alvis sighed. He could deal with one person. Kind of. He wasn't sure about three people. Less so about five. And... how many students were there again?

Alvis sighed again. As much as he didn't like a lot of people in one place, he wanted the other students to hurry up. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if the Taijitu woke up; it'd give him something to do.

The other head of the Taijitu was the least of their problems.  The Emerald Forest contained many other creatures, such as the Nevermore, the Death Stalker and probably more...  These were the things going through Haru's head.  He was well aware of the dangers and so he wanted as many meat shields friends as possible.

"Let's just wait, k?" he confirmed with the rest of the party.

Whether Vyona listened to Haru or not, she went to go sit down on the steps of the ruins she was on eariler. A bored expression crossed her face and she seemed more relaxed now. (Waiting around here is pointless. i might as well go off to battle more of those Grimm creatures. Yet again, I apparently have to stick to that stupid lolita for the time being. The rest of them I could care less about.) She furrowed her eyebrows a bit. Nami looked back over to the direction Vyona was pointing to earlier. The stranger was probably still over there and Alvis was just lingering nearby. Nami looked back over to Haru and hummed to herself in thought. She finally walked up to him and jabbed her finger into his chest. "You seem too tense, as if you're worried about something. Don't tell me you're actually the weakling Vyona claims you to be."

"O-Of course not!" Haru quickly rebutted.  There was absolutely no way he was.  "I'm just a bit tired.  Over used my semblance and aura."

Haru looked at his arm quickly and then looked at Nami, smiling.  He should just tell them that he's handicapped for the time being.  It'd be easier that way, but that might prompt them to work around him and that was an unsettling fact.  He didn't want to be dead weight.

"You wouldn't believe what I can do with dust," he bragged, grabbing his staff and making a small flying circle mirror near the two.  "Check this out."Haru took out his sword from the staff and carved his initial on a pillar, H.H.  The same carving appeared on the other pillar just opposite to it.  He was pretty proud of himself for mustering up what little he could to look awesome.  She must have taken the bait and thought of him highly by now, right?

Alvis glanced at Haru and suppressed a smirk. What's he trying to impress her for? He decided not to bother them. Although....

Haru may be a bit weird, but he's got a pretty interesting power. I wonder how it would fare against mine.... Would he just reflect my attacks or something? Hmm....

Alvis sat down on the steps to the temple, playing with the chess piece in his hand, thinking.

"So you can do magic tricks?" Nami said with somewhat of unamusement in her eyes. "Oh gee maybe you can preform big as the next Houdini if you drop out of Beacon. Sorry but if you're going to try to make a good impression then how about making sure you manage to win against the Grimm creatures when we come across the more powerful ones later on." She went to a more cheerful expression that it almost came off as creepy. "You know...if that's too much to ask of course." Nami crossed her arms and sighed. "You know, If you really are tired then stop wasting your energy on me and rest a bit while we wait."

"Well that was a total dud.." Haru thought.  "I'm pretty sure all I have now is some of my aura and probably one more instance of use for my semblance.  What a waste."

Haru kicked the ground and put his hands in his pocket.  He sat down and sulked, waiting for the rest of the students to arrive.

(Weeeee, adding some plot to the story.  Should I keep with the villains or make some of my own?  I know I'm keeping Ozpin and Glynda.)

Haru didn't look too happy. What is it that people do when others are sad?.... Comfort them? How do I do that?

Alvis got up and sat down next to Haru. "Hey.... What seems to be the problem? Having trouble with the ladies?"

(Why not a bit of both?)

(Posting for Yuffie.)

"Syfe," he said, stopping in his tracks momentarily, but regaining the walk.  "Syfe Mors."  He continued to lead the two, eventually catching a glimpse of the end of the small cliff, where the temple stood just yards downward from them towards the north.  "Let's go, I can see some of our classmates have already made it there."  Syfe jumped down and saw a King Taijitu on the floor, one of the heads already obliterated.  He clutched onto his weapon as he walked near the snake.

"Nothing's wrong," Haru answered.  "I'm just tired."

He turned away and hid his qualms about the situation, noticing more students approach.

"Looks like we have more company."

(Introducing new villains and whatnot.)

Somewhere else...in a factory of some sort...in the dark..."Have you acquired all the dust, Roman?" a very cute redhead asked."No...you could say I ran into some problems there."

Three figures enter the light from the shadows."Yo," a green haired woman said.  "The name's Ver (Vehr)."She looked back, to where the other two stood, right behind her.  One was blonde, while the other had blue hair.  The couple behind Ver held suitcases.  They open it and show a bunch of dust.  Cinder, the redhead, looks forward, wide eyed, in surprise.

"This here's Ama and Az, my sisters."

"Where did you get all of that- that dust?" Cinder questioned."Calm down," Ver commanded.  "We'll be glad to give you all of this dust, if you can get us in this here, event."Ama holds up a poster, where two people are depicted fighting each other in a stadium.  Cinder just smiles, beginning to laugh, halfway through.  Roman smirks also."And why would this interest you?" Roman asked, curiously."We want to rid this world of animal trash," Ver answered.

Ama walks up with the poster and Ver touches it, where a rabbit-like faunus is carrying a spear.  The piece of paper begins to disintegrate, completely skipping the part where it burns first and disappears to minuscule pieces of ash.
