It is the second day at Beacon, you are on the cliffs with a bunch of strangers...or friends (decide amongst yourselves) and are about to start your very first trial: falling.  Crazy old Ozpin is telling everyone to have a landing strategy.  It is up to you to take the first step.  Begin!

 

 

Ozpin and Glynda's speech:

 

 

Everyone currently stood on the cliffs, standing on some kind of platform.  For some reason, each platform having the school's insignia.  Ozpin and Ms. Goodwitch were standing before them, it was kind of exciting and nerve racking all at the same time.  What were they going to tell the students.

 

"For years you have trained to become warriors," the gray haired man began, as he addressed all the students.  "Today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.""Now," Glynda continued, "I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams.  Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion.  Each of you will be given teammates, today.""These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time, here at Beacon.  So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well.  That being said, first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

 

There were an abundant of reactions, ranging from both sides of the spectrum.  It would continue for the rest of the authority figures' speech.  Regardless, Ozpin continued."After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest.  You will meet opposition along the way.  Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die.  You will be monitored and graded for the duration of the initiation, but our instructors will not intervene.  You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics.  Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff.  You will guard that item, as well as your standing, and we will grade you appropriately.  Are there any questions?"

 

 

 

And with those last couple of words, one by one everyone prepared to be tossed into the air.  Whether anyone responded or not, did not matter.  Ozpin already had a set answer.

 

"Good.  Now, take your positions."For some reason, someone always had a question about the landing strategy and so the gray haired man answered accordingly.

 

"No, you will be falling,"

"Oh great, some guy is asking questions," Haru thought.  "What an idiot."

"No, you will be using your own landing strategy."

 

And with that, everyone was tossed into the air.  Haru, felt very natural in the air, holding his backpack as he flipped and twisted a couple times, somehow avoiding mysteriously placed crows. *cough* Monty *cough*  He decided to try and stay in the air for as long as possible, it seemed fun that way.  He spread his arms in the air, picking up a bountiful of air resistance."This is great!" the white haired boy yelled out, diverting some of the other first years' attention.

 

He looked around to see the possible competition, as well as teammates.

 

"Now which one of you are my future teammates?"

(CAN A NEKO SLEEP PLEASE) "Eh?! Davis! What was that for!?" Yuki yelled. She darted after Davis and the Nevermore, shooting another rocket towards the bird and hitting its backside, thankfully not hitting Davis...all in hopes to make it get to the ground. After she did that, she leapt onto the beast back quickly. "It should fall now!" She yelled to Davis.

(I TOLD THEM THAT I COULDNT POST TILL YOU DID BUT IF I DIDNT DAVIS WOULD BR STUCK ON LE WALL!)As soon as Yuki's next rocket hit, Davis twisted the blade he had in the Nevermore's back, then shoving the blade downwards into the thing's back. "Add a little pepper for good measure!" Davis thought, then facepalming "of course I would think of a pun on a gigantic hawk's back..." He mumbled, taking the last rocket he had collected on his way there, he threw it at the Nevermore's head and exploded.

(Jeez, two pages in one night.)

 

Heian looked up at Vyona. One shot? He thought, blinking as he stared at the monster.

"I can manage that." He breathed, standing back up. His body was shaking; usually he fired only a few shots every so often, and then switched to his sword. However, these monsters seemed to be easier to deal with long-range, and so the Faunus barely used his sword.

"Just...tell me where to fire."

Vyona nodded and pointed to where Nami and the grimm was. "Right at the center of that deathstalker but be sure to give the signal when you're about to fire." She guided his bow and positioned it to where the arrow will shoot out and hit at the right angle. "And now...." She muttered as she charged up her staff, red dust starting to surround it. She looked over to Syfe. "Be ready to shoot your lightning when he shoots out his arrow." Vyona gave out a dragging sigh. "We need to be quick about this. Nami can't hold up that thing forever." Meanwhile, Nami was still struggling with the deathstalker. It was thrashing in the air and trying to land a blow on Nami, but she kept it high enough and out of reach of her. Beads of sweat started to appear on her forehead. "Hurry...up.....guys..." she muttered under her breath as she continued to hold up the Grimm in the air.

Heian swallowed, drawing the bow back. He mustered every force he could, forming the largest arrow possible. The bow reverberated with the energy, blocking out any feeling of touch. He could see though, the amount of blood running down  his arm. He swallowed, his vision losing focus and his body shaking uncontrollably.

"Okay, I'm going to fire!"

Vyona and Syfe both nodded and prepared themselves as Heian pulled back and fired. The arrow went off like a rocket and Syfe fired lightning to join with the arrow. Vyona waved her staff and fired fire toward the arrow as well. The shot looked like a fire-lightning bullet rushing through the sky and towards the deathstallker. Nami back to see something rushing the sky towards her direction. (Is that suppose to strike the grimm?) She didn't want to sit there and ponder over it.With the last bit she had to keep it in the air, Nami rotated the beast so the center of its stomach was completely exposed while it was still thrashing.The arrow made its way at the deathstalker and landed a crushing blow at the center of it. As if the arrow was drilling through, it completely passed through and hit one of the pillars that supported the bridge, causing it to start crumbling. Nami finally let go and the deathstalker dropped into the bridge with a hard thud and fell right though. The bridge was now split into two, but not completely destroyed. Nami fell to her knees from the fatigue and the other three started to rush over to her. Heian was in bad condition as well but it seems that they managed to get rid of the deathstalker. Vyona planted her hands on her hips. "Great job today everyone." One Nami caught her breath, she stood up and looked back to the bridge with the gap now in the middle. She blinked before looking back to the others. Nami looked over to Heian and noticed that his arm was covered in blood. She walked over to him. "Hey, are you okay? You didn't have to push yourself so hard."  "Well now that's out of the way, can we at least have a proper introduction? I'm Nami." Vyona crossed her arms. "Hmph, like I should tell you tell you that-" "You bastard I already know you." "Hey don't interrupt me! But anyways, I guess you earned it. I'm Vyona. And you two?"

Haru felt his wings for a moment, but wrote it off as he clutched onto his backpack tighter.  He looked around to see all the snakes taken care of.  It was a success?  Kind of.  He wasn't one to blame himself for something like that.  He DID provide the perfect chance to deal with them, he was just fatigued.  He was proud that no one was injured except for him.

 

"Alrighty then.  To the cliffs!" he commanded, holding his left arm.

"Yahoo! Now here's where it gets good!" Davis yelled, the swirling starting up. He dug the blade he already had in the Nevermore deep in, then had the other half of his sickle unhook itself from its side, he then grabbed it, wrapped the chain he had around himself tight, and turned the sickle into its gauntlet form. Swinging around from the part of the sickle stuck in the Nevermore's back, he got in front of it, on its face mask, and used his aura as well as his symbolance to punch it as hard as possible in the face, hoping it would finally fall to the ground.

 "Lucky guy, I always wanted to ride a bird." Aria said as she took out her katana. The blade grew light blue as she positioned herself to throw it. 'I'm guessing this guy's plan is to bring it down to the ground, I'll assist him then.' With a yell she threw the katana as it nailed right into the Nevermore right wing. Ice erupted from the blade as it began to freeze it's entire right wing. Freezing something so big, Aria used up her Dust for Ice. 

 

 

The bird began to descend in height.  As hard as it tried to fight the downward momentum, it could not.  With the addition of the frozen wing it began to fall complete down.  Haru looked at the group off in the distance."If that guy doesn't let go, they're gonna fall straight into that chasm."The bird aimed for it's attacker, Aira, before just barely making it to the middle of the bridge, still in tact.  It began to flap it's wings on the floor, trying to thaw out.

Sora used the gusts to aim herself, letting the wind carry her. Using Albion to reposition herself, she finally caught the jetstream behind the Nevermore as it headed for Aria. Missing, Sora fired and lqnded beside Aria, not a ruffle on her maid outfit messed up.

"Let's finish it."

"I can't, I don't have enough energy to bring that wave up again and my katana is stuck in that bird's wing!" The Grimm was now just meters away from her as Aria reacted a bit slow as she dived to the left but the beak of the Nevermore pierced the right side of her waist as it landed in the middle of the bridge. "Ow!" She gritted her teeth as she clutched her right side, blood leaked from the wound.

The Nevermore managed to thaw out, but it was clearly damaged and unable to fly very fast.  This was their chance to finally deal with it.  As long as they could stop it from taking flight once again, it was their win.

"Katana girl! Hit its wing again!" Davis yelled. "Maid girl, cut off its other wing! Davis yelled, hoping Yuki would be back with them soon.

Sora used Albion again, and jumped using Angel's Light on high impact semi auto mode. Landing beside the katana, she yanked it free and threw it to Aria, then fired another HISA shot, using the recoil to chop into the wing, then activated full auto and fired, driving it into the bone as hard as she could.

"Aria! Go for it's leg! Order-boy, go for the chest! Rocket-girl! Aim for the eyes!" She called out as she continued trying to dewing it.

 

((Isn't Davis suppose to be the leader? )) 

 

 "K-katana girl? That's a first." Aria caught the katana and ignoring the pain, she followed Davis's order as her blade went purple using the last of the Lightning Dust to drive the katana straight into the wing she froze before. Static spread throughout the right wing of the Nevermore as the entire right wing was cut off. Then as she jumped down, Aria slid under the Grimm slicing off one of its legs.

chase nodded and started walking off. " anyways we never got eachothers names so i'm chase" he said. he hoped his team wasn't all quiet and boring twenty-four seven. he looked at the bodies of the snakes and sighed. " sorry friends but we had to" chase whispered patting ones head. he hated having to kill them but he had to. chase sheathed his weapon and turned to his companions. " to narnia guys" he said with a small smile.

 

 

 

 

(Remember that Davis isn't technically leader yet, so if it follows the character's personality to give orders, then that's how it goes.  You just have to respond to it the way your character would.  Just because someone barks orders, doesn't mean they are leader material.  Just finish your mission.)

 

 

"I'm Haru," he struggled to spit out as he coughed out a little more blood.

Haru led the group down the stone path to where the broken bridge and future Team VNSH stood.  It would take them a couple minutes to see the total wreckage, but right now was the time for getting acquainted.  He still held his arm, making sure to apply pressure on it, so excess amount of blood wouldn't escape his body."My partner's Alvis and from what I heard, she's Veronica, right?" the white haired boy asked, pointing towards the new girl.

chase sighed and placed his hands on haru's shoulder's making him sit down. " sit down and regain your energy" chase said. he then nodded and smiled alittle. " sheesh if your pushing yourself tell one of us so we cna quickly help" chase said ignoring the pain in his head. he put his hat on and pulled out the pill bottle from his pocket. looking at all the people near by he sighed and smiled more. he popped the pill in his mouth and swallowed.

"How about no!?" Davis yelled, laughing,transforming his sickle and glove into its longsword form, he jabbed it into the wing of the Nevermore, all the way through, slashing through it and cutting it off, landing on the ground, he dashed through and cut off the other leg of the Nevermore, then shot forward till he was under its tale, and then slashed upwards with a high-slash on the tail-end of the Nevermore, springing up and back onto its back, he plunged the blade deep into its back, spinning into the strike, he pushed upward and out of the Nevermore's back, landing near its face, and went gauntlets again, then fired a copious amount of shot gun shots at its face. "Please die now, thanks." he said, lunging forward with his weapon back in sickle mode.

Seeing the boy decide to be a one man army, Sora leapt off the Nevermore and retreated a safe distance away. She ejected her spent mag and slammed a fresh one in, then her scythe folded into rifle mode. She kept an eye on the Nevermore, recovering from her strenous use of Albion.

She ignored the reckless boy's actions, and his rudeness. She just kept an eye on the Nevermore as well as kept an eye on other dangers that could be lurking.

"I should have kissed her when I had the chance." Sora muttered, in a rare moment of slight anger.

 Aria cocked her head as the guy started to beat the crap out of the Nevermore. "Is it dead yet?" She yawned. "I think I need to treat this wound before it get infected or something." She still held her side, it wasn't bleeding as much but it still hurt. 

 

"Y-Yeah!  You're right.." Haru confirmed, about to just sit in place, but something happened.  "Huh?" he asked as he fell to the floor, effectively fainting and blacking out.

(RP must progress soooooo....)Before Haru had a chance to faint his eyes caught a glance of the finishing move that practically massacred the large bird.  The Nevermore fell to the floor.  And just like that everyone's mission were done.  It was pretty much guaranteed that they would make it to the cliffs now.  End Arc.

Teams are announced yada yada~

 

"Alvis Xur, Chase Cheslin, Veronica Ravena and..." the white haired man paused, looking at the three standing on the podium.  "Someone is missing..."

Glynda behind him, whispered, "He is in the hospital, sir," in his ear.

"..And Haru Hathaway will be team HAVC."

 

Another group walks up.

 

"Nami Onnea, Syfe Mors, Vyona Lani and Heian Umbra.  You all are team VNSH.  You will be lead by none other than Vyona Lani."

 

One more group.

 

"Davis Goliath, Yuki Sunil, Sora Takagi and Aria Waters.  Team DASY."

 

More groups pass and go.  Everyone returns to their seats.

 

"I bet all of you are wondering why some teams did not acquire leaders.  This is because some of you barely qualified," Ozpin said in an apathetic voice.  "While it is indeed true, you are all talented individuals, many of you have not grasped the concept of what it truly takes to be huntsmen and huntresses.  For those who are missing a leader, you will be assigned a provisional one, until one suitable enough to take the position rises to the occasion.  You are all dismissed."

(Nothing major will be happening in this arc except weeding out people...and by that I mean, checking who still wants to RP.  Just a bunch of random character development and choosing the leaders for the rest of the teams.)

"Yo, team DASY, little flowers," a tall redhead said, in a sort of insulting voice.  "You are all under me.  The name is Roy Anger (Grumpy, if you're wondering).  I'll be your senpai provisional leader for the time being.  Whoever will become leader all rides on my decision.  Have fun."

"Team HAVC.  I'm not supposed to tell you this, but Haru is notlooking good.  It doesn't look like he's gonna be able to stay at Beacon.  One of you guys have to show me who is leader material and who will support.  I'm Aka Kuro (Alice, 'cause red/black, checkers, colors of suits, nvm...)"

 

(Roy Anger is two years ahead and he is 6 foot.  He's hotheaded and is the leader of his own team.  He will be hard to get along with.

 

 Aka Kuro is one year ahead and very intelligent.  Her mind often wanders around.  She is quite random.  She is only 5 foot, quite short.

 

Team VNSH has no provisional leader sooooooo yeah.  We continue the RP throughout class sessions for the next couple of months.  Interaction will be very loose so yeah...
