Keimei looked around at the crowd in the center plaza of the Starting Town. "Why was I just taken here...?" She asked aloud. She'd only been playing for a couple hours, and had decided to get into the combat system before finding anyone to team up with. She looked around the crowd, noticing a lot of other people were also teleporting there. Suddenly, the sky above her turned blood red. A cloaked figure appeared over the square, and hovered there.

"Hello everyone, and welcome to SAO." A voice boomed over the crowd. "You're likely wondering who I am... My true identity will remain secret. However, I will tell you this; I have hacked into SAO. Some of you may have noticed that there isn't a log-out button... That's because I've removed the option to log out. I've trapped you all in the game..." He paused, as the crowd was dead silent. He eventually continued. "Why have I done this? Simple. I've wanted a world of my liking. In this world, I've surpassed even the game's creator, Kayaba Akihiko. Here, I control you all... Unless, of course, you can clear all 100 floors. However, that's impossible..." He cackled. "Also, to warn you... If you die in the world of SAO, the NerveGear will fry your brain in the real world, killing you in both. If anyone attempts to remove your NerveGear, you will also die. Now then, before I leave, I have a gift for you..." Suddenly, a mirror appeared in Keimei's inventory. She used it, out of curiosity. There was a sudden flash of light, and she shut her eyes...

When she opened her eyes, she felt different. She looked into the mirror... That's... my real face in the mirror... She looked in horror. Aside from her hair color, which was the same shade of red that she'd made it in-game, she looked exactly like she did in real life.

"Now then... With this, I must leave. Good luck in Aincrad... You'll need it." A maniacal laughter echoed along the buildings, as the figure disappeared.

After the echoes, there was silence. After what felt like ages, people began rioting. "We're doomed!" "I can't be trapped in the game, I've got a meeting in an hour!" "That had to all be some sick joke!" Keimei looked around in confusion. She didn't know what to do. She looked around frantically.

I have to get out... The only way to do that is to fight, and I'll need partners... Man, I really wish my friends had been able to get the game so I wouldn't be alone in this. She dashed through town, weaving her way through the crowd and into the streets. She tried to look around for someone, anyone who was also rushing to go fight.

As Vash slept in the room, Black was mixing many of the ingredients he found on the day, including the extra Nepent´s root he found. "Maybe combining this with that". Actually making potions isn´t as hard as anyone would think, the Medicine mixer ability allows the player to get a mixer, something like a experiment vase. you put the ingredients on a certain orden and done! But of course you have only two possible results: A good item and a tiny smoke blast (Which means a proper and funny way to say failure). The trick is to put the items in the right order.

Of course when the message window appeared with the words [ Hi-Potion x 6 ] Black was satisfied with the result.

"Yes I made it. Huh? what is this?..." He said while looking at a new window appeared: It was a message board for the City of Begginins main board. He has put it as an update for news about the incident, but nothing new came to light since the announcement.... until now. "The number of players killed has increased to a total of 700 until today. We are waiting for new updates, but as the main cause of deceases are Suicide, we reccomend players to keep calm until new news from the outside reach to us."

Black´s face was pale. The pain of that evening in the plaza came to his mind again. That time when he saw his true face on the mirror, the day he just ran away trying to escape, the moment when he realized that it was no joke or mistake... The moment when the bet for his life had begun.

"Yeah..." Abisk sighed, looking around. "We should be fine in here, but even so..." Abisk muttered. "Unless you have the keys to the house or room, another player can't enter unless the door is open... So we should be safe, but you never know what might go on..."

Well... If they can't get in, we should be good... Right?" Kei asked. "We both need to get some rest... It's not exactly safe to rush into battles without sleep, right?"

"You never know... If we're unlucky, they may have removed the feature..." Abisk said, looking around. "But what you say is true, too..." Abisk sighed. "I should sleep..." He muttered, walking down to the bed, sitting down on it. "Still, my nerves won't settle..."

"Well, you should still try... Who knows, you might manage to get to sleep sooner than you'd expect." Kei moved over a bit to make more space. "I think I'm going to try to get some sleep now... Good night, Abisk." She curled up and fell asleep, leaving the room in silence...

"Night..." Abisk muttered. He turned his head at the curled-up Kei. "Why do I feel so much like I need to watch her back? If it were any other player I would have left after she fell asleep..." He sighed, looking around. "I should get some sleep..." He thought, lying down on the bed. "It's weird to feel warm inside my hollow husk..." He thought, falling asleep.

Keimei woke up. Light made its way through the window, letting her know it was morning. "I had the weirdest dream last night... I got trapped in a game, and..." She looked next to her, noticing Abisk was sleeping next to her. She sighed. I guess it wasn't a dream... She thought. I've never had to wake a guy up before... He wouldn't get mad at me or anything, would he? "Hey, Abisk... It's morning."

He wouldn't get mad at me or anything, would he? "Hey, Abisk... It's morning."

Abisk was sound-asleep, seemingly peacefully, he was in the midst a horrid nightmare. Everyone shattered before his eyes the way a player did when they died in this world against some unknown boss. Above it's head, it read "The ___a_ ___s" People whom he already knew and some he didn't quite yet were vanishing before him, till only he was left. Despite wanting to just give in and die there, Abisk's body fought on, releasing the Sword Skill "The Eclipse", and killing the unidentifiable enemy, then trudging on to the next floor. He wanted to go back and mourn them, but his body didn't, it just kept running through the motions of killing monsters, gaining EXP, defeating enemy's, keeping himself alive. "Why bother with such a weak group? Leave them now, head forward, beat the bosses, then they won't have to try and get strong only to die." A voice that sounded similar rang off in his head. "You know what level you have to be to solo each boss, you know how to get to that level, as well. Leave them, they'll slow you down and nearly get you killed." It told him, Abisk refused to listen to the voice, and would not watch as his HP hit zero in the dream for that choice...

Moments later, he woke with a scream, rolling off of the bed and drawing his Anneal Blade, his nerves had gotten the best of him at the moment, he resheathed the blade. "S-Sorry, Kei... J-Just a nightmare... N-Nothing of your doing..." He told her, lying down on the cold wood floor for a moment.

"There was another one." Ryonne said easily, not missing a beat. "And my name is Ryonne." He continued, shaking his new partner's hand. He went into the menu, and sent a quick party invite. Ryonne may be new to this, but in any kind of war, real or virtual, allies were important. He figured there was only so much someone without allies could do. Besides, having friends would hasten them getting the heck out of this death trap.

"Stardust...Typhoon!"

She slipped and fell on her ass. Ok. No trying that so soon.

Sheathing her blades, Aether continued on. She needed to practice.

Her own signature from the Beta was Stardust Typhoon. Unfortunately her level waant high enough to utikize the tricks. Sighing, Aether needed something strong to practice with.

Maybe Absik would help. The Eclipse was something she had to master, as well as her Stardust move.

Moving out of the forest, Aether was annoyed. She hated being so week. She needed to be stronger.

Only level twelve right now. She wanted to be level thirty by the time they fought the boss.

Major farming.

Aether turned back to the forest.

No.

"Quests. I need quests."

Lock sat at a table in front of the inn that him and his ally's were staying at, chewing on some bread. He probably should have waited for the others to get together before eating breakfast, but he couldn't help it. He was very hungry. Once he finished his bread, he walked over to the room Abisk and Kai were sharing, and knocked on the door. He thought it a little odd that they decided to share a room despite having the chance to have separate rooms, but decided not to jump to conclusions about anything. For now, the five of them needed to get together and figure out what to do next.

Sikiro looked to his upper right, seeing an exclamation icon pop-up, along with something resembling an envelope. He flicked open the menu, hitting the Party button (Which also had an exclamation mark) and accepted Ryonne's invitation to join up together.

"I see." Sikiro said, glancing at Ryonne, "Fair enough. My name is Sikiro."

"Nice to meet you Sikiro. I am sure an alliance will do us both a lot of good." Ryonne said without hesitation. He was fully invested in this player now. They'd have to trust each other, or perish. Ryonne glanced toward the dungeon far off in the distance. "Now what? Should we try and map out some of the dungeon, finish off some more quests, or find some other people?" Ryonne proposed various options to his new partner.

"Level grinding." Sikiro replied, "Get some old fashioned mob-hunting in and continue to level. I fear that...while we've been here, we've become fairly far behind comparing to others." Sikiro sighed, glancing around the field, "So let us finish this area...and move up the tower. Maybe once we find a comfortable place to halt, we may find someone else." Sikiro glanced back at Ryonne, waiting for a response.

Black finished up his medicine making... It was early today, perhaps due to the message, he couldn´t sleep very well...

"Mmm... I should probably go out for a moment" he said while walking out of the room with enough careful to not wake up Vash.

When he got up he saw one of the members of the group, he was knoking the door of Abisk´s room. (Lock)

"Hey you, looks like you woke up early!" He said while yawning a little.

"Sounds good to me." Ryonne said. He glanced movement out the corner of his eye. He drew his blade calmly, and activated a sword skill. He ended up rushing forward, destroying the wolf that had been so unfortunate to walk in his path. "And what was that about being underleveled?" For a split-second, you could have detected a grin, and a sparkle in his eyes. But that instant was gone quickly.

Ryonne sat at a table, a bowl of eggs and rice sitting in front of him.  Sikiro was sitting across from him. Ryonne sifted through his menus, looking through his equipment, items, and stats. Everything was in place. He had several healing crystals, his equipment was some of the best you could get here on the first floor, and his stats were more than fair. Ryonne couldn't help but feel he was ready. He looked over to Sikiro. "Today we're going to the dungeon right?" Ryonne asked, though he was certain that today was the day. He took a bite of his breakfast.

"O-oh... It's fine, I understand." Kei smiled to try and lighten the mood. I'd be surprised if anyone didn't have any nightmares involving this whole incident... His seemed really bad, though... She felt bad for Abisk.

Abisk drew his sword, then walked to the door. "Who is this!?" He asked.

(i think ill just wait this one out, i want vash to actually get sleep)

Quests she had found. Taking high-risk quests, Aether began training and grinding. She practiced her easier skills first, remembering her failure from earlier.

Take it slow. Just take it slow.

Slash. Stab.

"I need martial arts." She muttered before ducking a swipe and lungine into the beast's chest. "Where was that quest..."

Abisk drew his sword, then walked to the door. "Who is this!?" He asked.

"It's the pizza guy." Lock said sarcastically. "Come on Abisk, it's Lock. We need to figure out what the five of us will do next before we burn too much daylight."

"As far as I know, only Vash is still asleep, I'll go get him." Lock replied, and walked over to the room Vash was sleeping in and knocked on the door, "Hey Vash, time to wake up!"

"As far as I know, only Vash is still asleep, I'll go get him." Lock replied, and walked over to the room Vash was sleeping in and knocked on the door, "Hey Vash, time to wake up!"

Vash opens his eyes a bit. "Ugh, what now? I swear, if we're gonna get up for a second time in the middle of the same damn night then i'm staying in. I don't care if i miss out on a little EXP."

(I'm going camping, so I won't be posting again until either tomorrow or Wednesday.)

"It's morning Vash, and you slept in. By now nearly every other player's probably outside gaining experience points. Now come on, we're meeting in Abisk's and Kai's room." Lock said to Vash, and then walked into the room they were gathering in.

Sikiro nodded, "Just us two. All the way through. Right until we get to the Hobgoblin King or whatever the hell it is." He said, leaning back in his seat. It was early in the morning--early enough that few had woken up yet. Even some of the NPCs weren't active at this point in the day. Sikiro glanced at what remained of his bowls. A quick and ferocious eater, he was.
