Sword Art Online: Another Log-In (Roleplay Thread)

Keimei looked around at the crowd in the center plaza of the Starting Town. "Why was I just taken here...?" She asked aloud. She'd only been playing for a couple hours, and had decided to get into the combat system before finding anyone to team up with. She looked around the crowd, noticing a lot of other people were also teleporting there. Suddenly, the sky above her turned blood red. A cloaked figure appeared over the square, and hovered there.

"Hello everyone, and welcome to SAO." A voice boomed over the crowd. "You're likely wondering who I am... My true identity will remain secret. However, I will tell you this; I have hacked into SAO. Some of you may have noticed that there isn't a log-out button... That's because I've removed the option to log out. I've trapped you all in the game..." He paused, as the crowd was dead silent. He eventually continued. "Why have I done this? Simple. I've wanted a world of my liking. In this world, I've surpassed even the game's creator, Kayaba Akihiko. Here, I control you all... Unless, of course, you can clear all 100 floors. However, that's impossible..." He cackled. "Also, to warn you... If you die in the world of SAO, the NerveGear will fry your brain in the real world, killing you in both. If anyone attempts to remove your NerveGear, you will also die. Now then, before I leave, I have a gift for you..." Suddenly, a mirror appeared in Keimei's inventory. She used it, out of curiosity. There was a sudden flash of light, and she shut her eyes...

When she opened her eyes, she felt different. She looked into the mirror... That's... my real face in the mirror... She looked in horror. Aside from her hair color, which was the same shade of red that she'd made it in-game, she looked exactly like she did in real life.

"Now then... With this, I must leave. Good luck in Aincrad... You'll need it." A maniacal laughter echoed along the buildings, as the figure disappeared.

After the echoes, there was silence. After what felt like ages, people began rioting. "We're doomed!" "I can't be trapped in the game, I've got a meeting in an hour!" "That had to all be some sick joke!" Keimei looked around in confusion. She didn't know what to do. She looked around frantically.

I have to get out... The only way to do that is to fight, and I'll need partners... Man, I really wish my friends had been able to get the game so I wouldn't be alone in this. She dashed through town, weaving her way through the crowd and into the streets. She tried to look around for someone, anyone who was also rushing to go fight.

"I guess you have a point... But what if he's still alive? He'd need some way to find us... Are we able to send PMs or something like that?" She asked, hopeful that she could help out their party member.

"Yeah, and then there is always the ability to track party members on a map... Oh!" Abisk opened the menu and went to the map, checking it, Lock was still up there. "Hmm. he's alive. I'm going up and getting him." Abisk said, jumping onto the rope, only to discover his armor was too heavy and slippery to climb. "One of you has to go..." he said, looking up again.

"I'll go." Kei grabbed on to the rope. She started to make her way up the rope. "Uh... Could you guys turn around?" She blushed, remembering she wasn't exactly in the best climbing equipment. She got to the top of the rope, hoping the others followed her request. She noticed a small passage, and saw Lock at the top. "Hey, Lock. Did you find anything interesting up here?" She asked, and looked down the passage. "It's dark in there..." She remembered the trick that Abisk used to light the torch earlier; She hit her swords together, lighting a torch with the sparks. She looked into the passage, seeing a treasure chest at the end. "It doesn't look like a trap..." She approached the chest, keeping an eye out for anything that could go wrong. "Yeah, it's gotta be safe!"

She opened the chest carefully, and peeked in at the contents... "Wow!" Inside the chest, there was about 500 Gil. "Heh, we really got lucky, didn't we?" She took the gil, and went to the edge by the rope. "Hey guys, there's a ton of Gil up here! I just got 500 from a treasure chest!" She slid back down the rope, showing her prize to her party members.

"Awesome! We're gonna have plenty of money in the early-game, but did you see any more chests up there?" Abisk asked.

Lock smirked as he turned to Kei. "I thought it would be safe. I was going to open the chest, but decided to wait for you guys to get back once I saw there wasn't any danger. Now, what are we going to do next?"

"It's really not, it's just because the quest demands it to be used at the moment that when you pick it up you get a huge stat buff. It's only a bit better than the sword you were using earlier now." Abisk told Vash. "Now let's ditch this place." He said, turning to the front,   "Okay, let's go." Abisk said, leading the group out was much easier than leading them in, but before they could leave, Abisk found the rope again. He tugged on the rope and yelled "Hey! We're heading out soon. Find anything good up there?" he asked.

"Oh..........Oh well, THIS IS STILL GOOD!" He equipped the new sword onto himself. "LETS GO!"

(Xigboss told me he had to go offline...) Keimei sighed. I thought we'd at least get a head start on Vash... That was getting really embarrassing. She thought, chasing after Abisk. When they reached the rope, there was no response. "Maybe we should head up too..." She grabbed on to the rope. "What do you say?"

"Well Lock, i HEROICALLY GOT THE SWORD AND KILLED THE MONSTER, So now, i guess , we head for the next town!"

"We head for our current town. It's late, we need rest. Kayaba didn't want gamers pulling all-nighters with no breaks all the time, so there are things like hunger and exhaustion in-game." Abisk said, looking around, he heard a noise... A Shiny Imp! It stabbed Vash in the arm from out of no-where, but Abisk cut through it as soon as it landed from it's attack, using a simple set of strikes. "Just a note, our Sword Skills have cooldowns, as well as a moment after preforming the technique where we're venerable. Be careful of that." Abisk told the group, checking the status from the fight menu. "Yes! It dropped the metal ore, and plenty of it, too!" Abisk said, quite happy. The drop was pretty rare for an early-game drop and multiple of it even more so, there was enough to make a sword for everyone in the group.

"Got it, ill remember not to abuse Sword skills." He saw the Metal Ores. "Wow, so, with these, we can make new swords for ourselves?"

"Well, if you pay a blacksmith of human or NPC variety, you can, or if you get lucky and have someone from the beta who just so happens to have the skill to make weapons in your party it's easy." Smiling, as well as pointing a thumb to himself.

"Oh ok then." Vash gave the metal ore to Abisk. "Make me a sword with long range but as strong or stronger than this sword that i used to kill that monster back in the quest."

"It doesn't quite work like that exactly. The metal and it's typing dictates it's powers and ability's, as well as it's shape, size, et-cetera. This metal is best for speed-based weapons that don't have a long length or high-damage output, favoring to damage at higher speeds. It works best as a mid-length sword, like what you have now, but thinner, so more like a rapure in style." Abisk explained. "The next metal obtainable is in the next town, it's a good metal for longer combat swords, though, if you can wait."

Vash looked at his current sword and thought about it. "Yeah, i'd rather wait for longer, stronger swords honestly. Come on, let's go rest at the town of beginnings." He then looked around seeing that they were still in the dungeon. "Uh, there wouldn't happen to be a teleport item that we could use to get out of here fast, would there?"

"We don't wanna go back to the Town Of Beginnings, its too far away, we'd be better off in this town." Abisk told Vash. "And yes, but they're very expensive and not available to us yet." he answered

She woke up.

Nothing really wanted, honestly. Not much sleep.

She couldn't.

Aether slipped out of the room and headed off to the blacksmith. She hoped a Black Iron Straight Sword was available; it was perfect for her to start. She slipped into the Blacksmith shop and checked. Nope, no Black Iron.

Exiting, she decided to get an early start. If she farmed on the way, she could easily hit level ten by that time.

She could do it.

Aether sighed. Now she regretted beta testing this game.

Guys, I think I'm gonna have to drop out of the RP. Not just waiting for Robin, but also just time-zone restraints in general. Everyone else is always posting hours after my bedtime, and with school starting up and midterms underway, not to mention some personal projects, I can't keep up anymore. I hope everyone understands, and I bid farewell to what I hope will turn into a marvelous RP.

( :( sorry man i've had no time today plus it took me ages to read it all)

(so do i just move on like i didn't meet achi? we only really said hello anyway)

Robin had spent hours on the small fry and had leveled quite a bit, because of his high speed stat he was able to dodge quite easily. He moved to the next town, upgraded his equipment and went to an inn to sleep for the night. Robin lay in his bed thinking about what he would do next "I guess I'll have to stay solo till I can find someone." Robin sighed and  made sure to remember to move to the next town as quickly as he could "I'm definitely a high enough level to move on after all that grinding, and those beginning fields were getting pretty packed before I left." The town after the fields wasn't too packed, he assumed that this was because most of them stayed in the town of beginnings to start.

(Yes, I finally got the time to make my first post)

(Can anyone also give a little notice to the wanted posters around the towns, cause I'd really like that :P Thanks)

All around different towns there were wanted posters posted everywhere with a girl on them (The girl in the poster had nice yellow hair, brown eyes, tan skin & wore a black & white outfit) with a reward of $10,000 Gil for her capture alive "WHAT THIS!" yelled Elyna as she saw one of her wanted posters on a wall, Elyna ripped it off the wall ripping it up into tiny pieces "I can't believe I've come to this....And having a orange cursor isn't bad enough....oh well, I have better things to do than take down every poster. I need to find some strong players that can help me escape this game, not that anyone would help someone with an orange cursor....but where to look first?" said Elyna as she walked along the street thinking to herself. Elyna was soon in the market of the town & was eyeing at the golden & delicious apples with her mouth drooling. Elyna quickly bought an apple & was back to walking within the town's market streets.

"Awesome! We're gonna have plenty of money in the early-game, but did you see any more chests up there?" Abisk asked.

"No, this was the only chest." Kei answered. "There wasn't too much up there."

Kei watched as Abisk took down the Shiny Imp. "Heh, we just keep getting luckier, don't we?" She grinned, glad that things had been working their way so far. "We should probably go rest before you make any swords, though... Besides, I think I just want to get out of this dungeon as fast as I can." She looked around, still somewhat nervous about the dark caverns. "You know where the inn is, right?" She asked, and started walking off towards the exit. Thankfully, she remembered which way they'd come from.

"Quite, we finish the quest first, though." Abisk told her, following her out with the rest, they made it back to the Blackmith's shop and headed around back, a large red 'X' was above the NPC's head. "That can't be right... Wait..." He looked at Vash, who had the blade sheathed. "...I didn't tell you it was OK to equip it... We failed the mission..." Abisk said, quite annoyed. "We had to return it to him first, then it would become available in the shop for 500 Gil, now it's unavailable to anyone else, and we lost out on a lot of money..."

"We lost out on 2000 Gil, since there were the four of us... The Inn won't take us now, we barely have enough for some more potions with just 500..." Abisk said, facepalming.

"Oh..." Suddenly, Kei felt bad for asking. "Well, we need to find some place to rest... If we need to, we could have some people keep watch while the others can rest..." She suggested, hoping that her idea would work. "I'm sure there's some place around here that we can find."

"I could always sell my armor, it's worth about 4500 Gil, so we would be OK and I could get some weaker leather armor..." Abisk added in the idea "We also can sell the Ingot we would have used for Vash's sword, and we have a little I found from that treasure chest I found..." He added. "But it may not be the best option..." Abisk looked around, trying to figure something out. "I've got to take the berating the NPC is going to give me for my friend claiming the sword as his own..." He muttered, walking back in, the NPC had a frown on it's face. "Hello." Abisk said, the NPC giving him a dirty look. "That sword's enchanted so that if we need to find out who has ownership of it we can, and loe and behold what I see? Your teammate's name. I thought you said you only wanted a little Gil and bread!?"

"I did, I didn't think my friend would claim the blade as his own."

"Don't give me that. You probably planned to run off with it from the start, eh?"

"I honestly didn't, sir. I have a fine blade of my own, purchased with my own Gil. Why would I, or anyone of my team plot to steal it? Especially if I came to talk with you afterwards?"

"I know you we're coming to tell me the sword broke and then run off with it like scoundrels! Leave my sight, I'd rather be disowned than to see you traitorous bards again." The NPC had yelled the last line, drawing a blade and running after Abisk, he only ran out of the door and shut it. He sighed. "That could have been better..."

Vash looked away from the others. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Man, i just keep making things worse and worse. Maybe i should just leave the party. He turned back to the others. "I'm sorry about this guys, maybe i'm not cut out to be part of a guild. I could probably take of myself better if i was solo, so if you want me to leave, i'll be on my way."
