I recently saw the E3 trailer for BBS, and it made me think who the secret boss really is. It can't be Xemnas, because Xehanort hadn't lost his heart for a while after the events of BBS. But remember when he locked the heart (we don't know which one) at the end of BBS? Maybe that person had created a Nobody and a Heartless from THAT heart before Ansem SoD/Xemnas was even created. That's my theory, what do you guys think? ***I think the boss was the Nobody of Terra or MX, but most likely Terra***.

Ahhh, but look closely. I posted a picture earlier of the symbol on the blades. It's not the Nobody symbol.

 

 

Look at this symbol, and look at the symbol on the blades closely. They look similar, but they are different.

As it stands, I have two theories.

 

Theory #1) I have my doubts about this one, since all of the hidden bosses are characters from a future game (Xenmas in FM, LS in FM+), but If its an existing character, I'm going to go out on a limb and say its Ansem The Wise. This is just pure speculation, but assuming that he has the ability to fight, we have not seen his fighting style, or weapon(s) for that matter. Its a long shot, i know, but i don't think its impossible.

 

Theory #2) The more plausible theory is its someone from KH:3D, or maybe even KH:AD. The thing is though, is the Org coat. If the boss has a reason to wear it, then he has to be related to MX in some way. It could be because he's influenced by MX, friends with him, or maybe even a previous pupil. But if its not, i'm guess that Nomura is using a generic cloak to hide his identity, like how they used the armor to hide TAV's identity, since they were still designing them at the time.

 

The thing is though, we don't know anything about this man. We don't know if he's fought during the story, if its an Aqua only battle, or anything. All we really know is his appearance, his DW'ing blades, and the fact that he can nearly one-shot you.

 

Take it however you wish though, but that's my two cents. Feel free to dissect my theories.. In fact, i encourage people to. I want to see other people's takes on my far-fetched theories.

 

Then I look at the build of the mystery person, and ATW in his black cloak and the mystery guy HAVE THE SAME BUILD (imo).

Yes, they auto adjust to fit the users body, which makes it easier somewhat compare the builds of some people. When you see a whole group of Org. Members, of course you wouldn't be able to tell who is who by just looking at their bodies, but once they reveal their faces, the coat still fits them, but each of them have diverse bodies and fighting styles, and the secret boss as the same body type as AtW. If it is him though, the first question that springs to mind is "Why is he attacking Aqua?" And about him fighting, I'm not so sure that he DOES fight. But it could be, for one reason or another, he has his back against a wall so to speak, and aqua was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time.

 

But i guess we won't know for sure for quite a bit of time, seeing as i have my doubts that it'll be fully explained who/what he is solely from BBS.

My theory is a huge stretch but I think its Sora. Sora after he turns evil. Nomura said that Sora was getting closer to the darkness before. The eternal blades could be used to take a heart from someone thus the reason Xemnas uses it. And Sora maybe wants to take hearts due to the fact that he can be a vessel for them and utilize their powers like he does with Ven. Therefore, Sora now wants to go back in time to defeat Aqua and take her heart so he can be a master and also this would prevent her from helping anyone because if she returns Ven's heart to him most likely he won't be able to wield a keyblade or one as powerful as the kingdom key.

I counted both Data Sora and Data Roxas. Data or not, he's still a new "Sora." If you're counting Namine, you can also throw in Data Namine.

Though if you're using matryoshka dolls, the concept would work better if you replaced Namine with Ven, what with Namine being in Kairi and all.
