During Nintendo's E3 conference, while discussing the 3DS just now, they were discussing third party companies that would be supporting the 3DS.

 

One of them was Square Enix. They said one of them would be a Kingdom Hearts game.

 

 

The logo wasn't really able to be seen, but it definitely wasn't Re:Coded.

 

 

EDIT: Since this is fully confirmed, this should probably be alright as its own thread as opposed to the one for speculating and "what if"ing.

I know what it is! Its Riku's version of kingdom hearts 1. Some how there going to tie in nobides cause people were losing there hearts.

 

The only problem with that is if it was KH1, they wouldn't show Sora fighting the Twilight Thorn in Traverse Town.

Looks cool, but I'm tired of all the spin offs. When will they get back to the story?

So the title actually is Kingdom Hearts 3D. Not expected, but oh well.

Square Enix declared the 3D Kingdom Hearts game a "new project" and did not specify whether it had any relation to Re:Coded but they did however mention that "Kingdom Hearts 3D" is a tentative title. The press release also states that the screen shots seen on the website (previously posted by Kuroishii on this thread) are "not final" and are still under development. All other details on this game are said to be announced at a later date.

It does look like a Riku game, though. e.e Wonder how it'll work out for the 3D. I'm hoping for a new KH for Wii.

It will work with normal DS games, so you could probably exchange an old DS to get some money off this new system. That is of course if you have the normal DS/DSi. I also think it is a riku game. ( I agree, there should be KH for wii. )

Didn't Tetsuya Nomura say that he wants to feature a kingdom hearts game with multiple main characters? I do recall him saying that in an interview in Birth By Sleep Ultimania. I'm guessing Kingdom Hearts 3D is the one he meant.

That's most likely it, since we see you can play as Sora or Riku, but that's not what I expected. You can play as Sora and Riku in CoM. Maybe more characters will show up when more info about the game is released.

I dont think its Reconnect from the screen shots of the 3DS game because the Sora and Riku outfits were their KH outfits. In the trailler for Reconnect in BBS, it had them in their KH2 outfits

Now I wonder what 3D will be about...I honestly think it would have been cool if it was KH3 and a play on words with the title, Kingdom Hearts 3D. Although apparently that title may not stay that way

I thought about that, but we have already played as sora and riku in CoM.

perhaps the game is like before CoM and after KH?

So the game can cover less than one month? Yeah right. From Day 7 which is around the end of Sora's journey to 35 about when Castle Oblivion was begining.

The game can't be after KH1 but before CoM, because CoM picked up instantly after KH1 ended.

well its defeeantly a new game now weasther its a sequal, midqual,and jsut an Alternate game, or a re-imagiannign of the first one alltogether...not sure...

It looks like a remake of the first one. But Square added a side story/bosses, maybe.

I really don't think it is a remake. Seriously, what in the world calls for a remake?
