You awake for the first time. You try to recall what has brought you here, but nothing comes to mind. You see others around you, also waking up for the first time. Confused, you sit up as a voice echoes all around you.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Boys and Girls,

Welcome to the Amnesia Games!

You have been allowed to remember three things

Your name

Your goal in life

And your skills in combat

And some of you don't even have one of those!

I have brought you here

From all over the omniverse

You each have an interesting story

But none of you know it

Because I have taken your memories

And the only way to get them back

Is to play my little game

So have fun

I'll be in touch

And the voice goes silent.

Mission 1: Interact with each other! Find out everybody else's name. One memory will go to each group at the end of the mission.

Renton 'Ren' Kisaragi, Neena Mors, Switch, and Noah Himitsu awake in a dense forest.

Walter Evergreen, Joshua Akira, Dom Locke, and Bronshu Wes awake near a bubbling spring in a flower meadow.

Morgan Etiam Vinctum, Mes Orem, Wolf, and Rexon Wrexx awake in a desert, sand blowing and sun shining.

Sylar awakes at a snow-covered mountaintop, all alone.

Joshua glanced up to Ryonne, speaking of his dream. A noble one, but an unrealistic one, of course. Joshua's had all too much...experience, per sè. His...only memory, in fact. Despite his frequent social awkwardness, he spoke up, both nervousness and past sorrow in his voice. "...That kind of place...won't ever be true. Even if...the makers of such a place were peaceful...and perfect...the people in it wouldn't be. ...or anyone not wanting it to...exist...."

Morgan ignored Harry. Just another child in the group now, along with Derik, almost as immature. The group...wouldn't make it. The coconut soon flew at Sylar's head— all of her hope for her allies was imminently lost.

As Sylar focused on continuing his storm of darkness and fire, something hit him in the head. Stunned for a moment, he looked at what hit him. "A coconut..." Sylar said confusedly. Then something else hit him. Derik tackled him to the ground, then rolled off. Sylar was left dazed on the ground, just long enough for the meteor Harry had summoned to crash onto him, creating a huge explosion. As the smoke cleared, Sylar could be seen, breathing heavily, leaning over. Mes ran up to him, looked him straight in the eye, and kicked him in the... place. Hurting... Sylar sunk into the darkness. His voice was heard throughout the oasis one more time. "Quite the tactics you played there... you have escaped my full wrath this time."

(Coconut FTW!)

(Hooray for the coconut!)

Completely amazed, Rexon got on his knees.  Then he bursts out laughing uncontrollably hard.  Fists were slamming, and there was long-breath wheezing from laughter.  Trying to get himself together, Rex says:  "OH MY GOSH!  ARE YOU COMPLETELY SERIOUS?!?  That throw actually did something!!"  Then he goes back to laughing hard, rolling around in the sand.

"Well, looks like that coconut found its friend." Derik mumbled, getting up off the ground. He went and retrieved his coat-slightly but not heavily damaged- and placed it back on. "Now, if y'all excuse me, I'm going to contenue to try and escape whatever force is trying to drag me into your party." He mumbled, contenuing to try and gather his supplies... Or what was left of it...

Auron sat down in the sand as he looked the scene... "I can´t believe that worked so well...." he said while looking at Rexon laughing like it never ends... "You, my friend, has the most weird of luck... you know?" he said while seeing Mes kicking The shadow boy in.... well... "Ouch!... that surely hurt him....", then the kicked one faded away, a victory for a coconut and a perfect use of the moment....

(This was the most awkward and funny way to end a battle Yuffie.... but what a finale.... be careful with Mes, Auron O.o"

Morgan stood atop the sand dune, one of only two or three people with a decent amount of sanity. She glanced to everyone, Rexon rolling around in the sand. It got all over him— and he became a metaphorical armadillo. Morgan sighed. She looked at Mes, the child who went straight for the man's privates when stunned. Morgan sighed. She looked at Harry, who had proclaimed love without memory, and to a fourteen-year old girl. Sounding very hebephilic. Morgan sighed. Auron seemed relatively normal, but he looked at what just happened with such optimism that it seems like he'll try to do so next time, hinself. Morgan sighed. Derik was actually doing something productive, but at his individual benefit, and she walked over to him calmly. She read his sins, examining him, yet approving: "You are right to avoid being with this group, in many ways."

Finally getting himself together, Rexon stood up.  He brushed off the sand on him and says:  "Yeah, I guess I do.  But I'm sure a moment like that won't happen again.  You know, like a 'same trick won't work twice' kind of thing."  He turns and notices Derik packing and trying to leave.  Shaking off the last grains, Rex goes and walks up to him.

When he catches up to Derik, Rex says:  "So you're leaving, huh?  I don't know who or what it is that's making you go, but I'd guess it's important.  But going at it alone might be problematic, especially with whatever's stopping you.  But, I'll admit our group isn't exactly a well-balanced bunch.  Then again, we could be of some help.  And who knows, it might be faster to get to whatever or whoever it is than being on your own.  But what do I know, right?  Anyway, I won't stop you from leaving.  Now, if you'll excuse, I'm going to go drink something.  All that laughing made me really parched."

Rex walks away from Derik and Morgan.  He drops one coconut and holds on to the last.  He summons his keyblade, slices it open, and drinks the milk.  Smacking, he wipes his mouth and says:  "Now that was refreshing.  I think I'll drink the other one too."  With that, he picks up the third coconut, slices it open, and drinks up.

(I don't think I revealed Derik is looking for his wife, did I?)(Edit, re-read through, this OC can mindread Derik like in Echoes and Ash, too,?)(Edit 2: you forgot to put the lime in the coconut and twist it all up.)

Dom listened to the others, shaking her head a little as they spoke. While she didn't remember why, the impression she got from peace was that it took a fight to get it.

"But maybe it's worth it." She thought.

She continued to push away the doubt about her goal. The only thing she got was...uncertainty. That annoyed her and hoped it did for the person she was with memories.

"So, how do you think the person in charge is gonna use that against you?" Dom asked candedly, watching Brooklyn and Ryonna specificly.

(@Crona, I thought you did.  I can change it if you want me to, but it'll have to be after I finish some homework.)

"Possibly, but I would rather not." He muttered, then responding to the girl.

"Not avoiding, per se, but I won't share needed supplies with people whom I don't trust, nor who I need to. If your goal was to find who the one I search for was as well, maybe I wouldn't, but you're all not."

"If this force were to use her against me, they would have probably had the man who took her with them, as well as a need to take her. I'm rather sure she is safe off the fact alone that he has not made any form of contact with me anyway." Brooklyn replied.

Ryonne glanced to Dom. He did not intend to argue, but she seemed intent on discussion. "Use peace against me? I doubt I would ever trust the same people who sent a legion of lizard people and a man who uses shadow weapons enough to try and achieve my dream with them. Also, considering we're here in front of an 'audience' something tells me that the watchers aren't peaceful people. The only way I could see them possibly using peace against me is to place me in a place like I dream, and brainwash me or something into believing that everything is alright. Honestly I'm not sure." Ryonne scratched his head. "They could try, but I doubt I'd believe them for a second if they did."

As Derik attempted to continue onwards with the supplies, he ran into a wall. Confused, he tried again to walk through the air. But some sort of barrier stopped him. Then the voice came in again in the forest clearing, the meadow camp, and the oasis.

Hello contestants!

I'm glad to say you have all made it to your camps

And are now locked into this camp area for the night

So no leaving Derik!

For now, good night

And don't let the bedbugs bite!

Mes burst out laughing at Derik's predicament. "Guess you're stuck with us aren't ya! It'd be best if you stayed with us for now anyway. If that Sylar guy comes back, I'm pretty sure he'd beat you up pretty bad." Mes spoke, first taunting the young man, then trying to reason with him. It did not matter if Derik agreed or not, he was still stuck with the group until morning at least.

Sylar appeared in a small cabin. Outside the window, snow was blowing pretty hard. However inside was a delightful fire, and several rooms. Also in the cabin, in plain view, were Lira Livius, Isaac Ghiral, and Blank. "Established myself as a threat to the desert group. If you need some other errand done, send Robocop over there next time." Sylar said, laying onto the couch easily. His last words seemed to be referring to Lira and Isaac, presumably one of them had sent him on that mission.

If you need some other errand done, send Robocop over there next time." Sylar said, laying onto the couch easily. His last words seemed to be referring to Lira and Isaac, presumably one of them had sent him on that mission.
Derik, needless to say, was absolutely freaking livid, to a point that upon Mes's laughter, and insistance that he would loose to that man made him snap. A moment later, one of his picks whizzed by Mes's face faster than she had time to react. "Or I could kill all of you and be done with it. Not a difficult task." He answered, the frustration in his voice apparent as he punched the barrier. Not particularly resistant to his force, it felt like he struck a pillow. "God damn it, why do I have to babysit a bunch of kids with supernatural powers?" He wondered."Even so, peace isn't within a warrior's path. Conflict would drive you back to fighting somehow. Anyway, what do we do from here?" Brooklyn asked

And so Morgan truly was stuck with this group. Even Derik wasn't so good as a member, while he wasn't partially insane, he was too independent. Lenient to only himself, but at the very least, this group had optimism. She looked around, gazing into the hardly visible barriers blockading the camp all-around-- a dome.Noah's eyes drifted off into what appeared to be nothing. He listened to the voice again, but said not a word, as usual. (We're being forced to rest...? We were to get to our destination as quickly as possible....) Noah complaint, but in his own head. The chirping of birds still echoed past the barrier and was quite peaceful, a natural lullaby. Perhaps it'd help, at least considering the barrier should also block predators from entering.Past, the meadow, Joshua ate rather slowly, his stomach slowly bulking with food, which on its own lulled him to a childish drowsiness. His eyes weighed down, but not awfully much-- yet, at least. At the same time, his eyes weighed down with hidden sorrow, he had nothing to think about but the present time, and the past-- the past consisting of only one thing so far. It filled him with dread.As soon as Sylar entered, Lira examined his memories. She laughed, for obvious reasons, but he knew he was toying with them. "Perhaps next time, you should take a power in which will nullify the strength of a coconut. And a little girl, while you're at it." Lira scoffed. Isaac gave a chuckle as well, playfully teasing Sylar. "You've done well enough to let those two groups know they have an enemy to worry about. You can take a break, if you'd like, and us three can each handle the groups for now...." Lira decided, Isaac licking his lips without speaking. He clearly began thinking of what to do. "...They are our prisoners."

Walter rubbed his head. His day had been horrible... Right? His memories resurfaced... It was an overwhelmingly bad set of memories, but memories, nonetheless... He had questions about the memories.

How did he get in that facility? Why? He was there for how long?

And that girl....

Out of all those bodies... He felt the worst about her...

He closed his eyes, but he could only see her and the bodies. He kept waking up. He couldn't sleep...

After the announcer had finished speaking, Robert finished off the rest of his meat, and crawled into one of the bedrolls.

"Well, at least we get to rest for a little while." he said to the rest of the group, "We should probably get some sleep while we can. Good night guys." Robert said, and fell asleep.

***

Blank walked out from the corner he was standing in and examined Sylar, "Robocop? Would you by any chance mean me? Either way, if there are 'errands', as you call them, to be done, there would be higher probability of success if they were exacted by one without a weakness to coconuts or little girls." Blank said to Sylar with complete seriousness, not knowing that Lira was simply joking. To him, he was merely stating a fact.

Bronshu drank some water, and almost spat it out when he heard the voice.  Puzzled, he says:  "Locked in?  So none of us can leave if we want to.  But it's getting kind of late, I guess.  Better rest up now and save some energy for tomorrow."  With that, Bronshu lays up against the tree he was next to, says:  "Night guys." and sleeps away.

Rexon raised up his hands again and says:  "Ignore Mes.  Really, there's no need for such unnecessary actions.  How about we get some sleep and deal with this tomorrow?"

  • Author

"I have to agree with Rexon. Ignore Mes. Now let's all just get to sleep." Mes said herself. Derik was definitely a dangerous man, and being around him seemed to be a bad idea, especially for someone like Mes. The young keyblader curled up in the sand, and without another word, went to sleep.

~~~~~~~~~
Ryonne was kind of tired of everyone questioning his goal. To Ryonne it was absolutely perfect. A utopia. But he knew it was unlikely. Ryonne glanced up to Bronshu, who had already gone to bed. He then glanced back to Brooklyn. "As for what we shall do now... I think a good rest is deserved. You may kill me in my sleep if you wish, just know it won't get you anywhere." Ryonne finished. He found a bedroll, and slid in. He kept one hand on his blade for good measure. He trusted his allies, for now, but the voice didn't seem above sending them a treat in the night.
~~~~~~~~~

Neena scoffed at Robert's sleep. So trusting, so soft. Neena didn't like it. But still, he was one of four people she had with her. Neena would have to get along. Rija looked to the other woman. "Sleep is indeed a good idea. We should both get some as well." Rija proposed. Neena nodded in reply, and they both crawled into some sleeping bags.

Everywhere in their little world, the sun went down, and people began to fall asleep.

Nighttime: When it is nighttime, I am going to take one person from each group to fight in the memory battles. The people left behind are allowed to wake up randomly in the night, and have interaction and character development with the other contestants. You don't have to participate in the support if you do not wish, but you will have to wait until daytime comes again before you may post.

The Memory Battles: As I mentioned above, one from each group comes is taken to the arena, to fight in a free-for-all against the other two. These three are not allowed to participate in Nighttime support for that night. At the end of the fight, the winner will receive a memory. Hence the name, Memory Battles. Now back to the action!

~~~~~~~~~
Ryonne awoke, finding himself on a dirt floor. He instantly sprang to his feet, and drew his blade, wary of his surroundings. Opposite him, were two other people he did not recognize. Derik Absolon and Renton Kisaragi were also reawaking in this odd place. All around the dirt floor were all sorts of weapons scattered about, bows, swords, axes, guns, and some more creative ones. Also, Ryonne noticed several traps about the area. These seemed to be either activated from a control center elsewhere, or by a switch somewhere in the arena. The voice echoed through the obvious battlefield.
Welcome contestants,
to the Memory Battles!
The rules are simple
Be the last one standing
And you will receive a memory
Also, do not be afraid of killing the others
We can revive them
So go all out
Fight!
Ren looked around. "So, there are others in this game..." He drew his blades. "What is your name?"
Eyes drowsy yet awake, Joshua tried sleeping already— to no avail. He had lied down away from everyone else, except Walter. The only trustworthy one to him, so far. Even so, he realized neither of them had gone to sleep yet, Joshua had just pretended, though. The memories he had pained him, or rather, memory. His somewhat joyful attitude as of usual was almost always feigned. He turned, and saw Walter not hiding any pain. Clear as day, even if it wasn't at the time. "...A-are you okay, Walter...?" He whispered quietly, only.to him. He knew Walter wasn't...just needed a hopeful straight anwer.
"No..." Walter said, with no emotion. "I'm not... And it scares me..."
Joshua gulped, unsure of what to say. He sat upright, but still mostly shrouded in a blanket. "...We each only have one memory, Walter...." he began nervously, "I'm sorry...your's was a bad one...." he hesitated, remembering he hadn't told anyone much of his memory yet. "...But it's only one. ...Things...might be better...or maybe just for good reasons. I just...don't want you to be sad...please. Right now, you're the only one here I care about."
