What can be said for The Legend of Zelda series? For starters, it's amazing.

It's been a staple of gaming since the NES era, going through countless different iterations and designs and consoles, making itself a permanent residence in the gaming communuties hivemind.

 

From small beginnings...

 

To a groundbreaking journey...

 

To a drastic change of pace...

 

And so much more to come...

 

 

The Legend of Zelda certainly lives up to its name.

 

I call my self a fan, and to my knowledge, so do a lot of other people on this site. So here's a good place to let that love shine.

 

Never forget that the series has also given us some of the best video game music ever composed.

I'll reserve posting my full thoughts on Twilight Princess until I've actually finished the game completely.

 

But in other news: If you guys haven't heard yet.

 

Four Swords is on the 3DS eShop for the low price of no dollars, it's free. I'm not sure if it will only be on the store for a short time, or if it will only be free for a short time, either way, pick it up while it's free. What will it hurt?

 

Also, A Link to the Past is now on the Wii U virtual console. It was on the Wii Shop Channel for a lonnnggg time but now it's finally on the eShop, so if you want some A Link to the Past gamepad action, pick that up. I hear it's a great game or something, I dunno.

It did have some of the best soundtracks in Zelda history, including my most favorite piece: Midna's Lament

I just love Smooth McGroove's rendition of it so I had to use it.

Yeah, I picked up Four Swords and told my friends so we could play together.

 

I've been wanting to get my hands on ALTTP again for a long time. At first I was saddened because it's $7.99 and I was two dollars off, but then I remembered, "I'm a Deluxe owner! I should have points from my previous eshop purchases!" I got $5 credit and bought it with $2 to spare.

Literally a week ago, I was looking for games to upgrade from Wii VC to Wii U VC. I was hoping for ALTTP, but since it wasn't on the eShop, I chose Super Metroid instead. I wish I waited a few more days...

Yeah. I'm liking it more now, but I'd still rather have ALTTP.

I love Phantom Hourglass! It was my favorite before Skyward Sword (And then Wind Waker replaced that one). If it ends up on Wii U, I'll probably buy it again.
