Posted January 23, 201411 yr Ok, since I haven't actually played Birth by Sleep yet, I only very recently realized that the keyblade he picks up in the teaser is the Master Keeper. Yeah, I'm stupid. Anyway, so how do you think Eraqus will return, and/or be a plot point?
January 23, 201411 yr Well, the Master Keeper appearing in the trailer is not an indicator that Eraqus will show up. Once you play BBS, you'll see what I mean by that. But I do think he'll return in KH3, just don't go by the Master Keeper as an indication of it.

January 23, 201411 yr Since Eraqus was trying to kill both Ventus and Terra i believe that there is just enough darkness in him to become one of the 13th darkness, one of a Xehanorts dark vessel
January 23, 201411 yr You have have to play BBS or watch Terra's ending they imply how Eraqus might return.

January 23, 201411 yr I don't really think Master Eraqus will return even if Terra said so . He's gone for good .
January 23, 201411 yr Didn't Nomura say the Master Keeper in the trailer was just symbolic? I can't remember what he said about it, but I think it was something about reminding the player where the story starts or something like that. Anyway, there are theories at KHInsider that the Master Keeper is a Keyblade of Hearts, and that its chosen wielder is actually the Land of Departure itself, but since a world doesn't have limbs, the bearer is the succeeding guardian of the world. They use the fact that Aqua was instructed to use specifically the Master Keeper to change the land as evidence of it being at least a special Keyblade, and the fact that it didn't change appearance in Aqua's hands as evidence of it not being a person-bound Keyblade, but one that is passed down from Master to Master, and some wonder then how Eraqus's true Keyblade looks like. They also noted that the Keyblade didn't dematerialize when Eraqus let it fall, and that in the trailer Sora picked it up in a very similar way to how he picked the Keyblade of People's Hearts in KH. An user said that, even with the meaning of the scene in the trailer being revealed, it is suspicious that the first shown scene is Sora picking the Master Keeper up. I'm not sure how much I believe in the se theories. At most, I'm willing to give a chance to the theory that the Master Keeper is a special Keyblade. I don't really think Master Eraqus will return even if Terra said so . He's gone for good . Nomura seems to be willing to give a happy ending to anyone who is not evil in KH3. I'm pretty sure he's coming back.
