You may have noticed, I've opened a forum for the recently announced Kingdom Hearts title, here: http://kh13.com/mybb/forumdisplay.php?fid=38

 

Now, with this, we have 8 forums in the "Kingdom Hearts" category. I've been having a number of thoughts about changing this around, but I want your input on it.

 

First of all, should I make a forum for "Kingdom Hearts III"? It is pretty much confirmed that this game will happen eventually, and a number of people have made threads discussing it. However, it hasn't even started development. So, make one or not?

 

Secondly, I don't really like the idea of there being 7 forums relating to games in this category, and then "General". "General" doesn't really fit with the arrangement of other forums. So, what do you think about making an entire new category for "General". In other words, split "Kingdom Hearts" into "Kingdom Hearts - Games" and "Kingdom Hearts - Miscellaneous" or something, and maybe having forums like General, Videos, Manga under that.

 

Summary:

1. Make a "Kingdom Hearts III" forum or not?

2. Split "General" into various forums in a new category or not?

Here's a little proposal for the new layout...

- Kingdom Hearts

- Chain of Memories

- Kingdom Hearts II

- General (for discussions about things from multiple games, characters, plot points, etc)

And I dont know, anything else you can think of.

i think ( if you dont mind) you should make a kingdom hearts file where you can talk about future games and speculate ( call it something like future kh games or something like that), and also i like the idea about splitting general. the splitting general idea makes a lot of sense

I like your idea DChiuch. I think you should do it like that.

I like the idea. It'd be easier to manage and easier to navigate I believe. And a Kingdom Hearts III forum would be a good idea

we did have that before when we didn't have much info for bbs, days and coded. now we know what games are coming and we have forums for that now.

I really do like your idea on the layout. However, I don't see the point of making a KH III forum. Yeah, the game hasn't even begun development, and it won't begin development until Final Fantasy Versus XIII is finished, so when that time comes, a KH III forum will be needed. For now, it's kind of unnecessary.

General and Speculation could be joined into one forum... same goes with Music and Publications, which could be a part of Media. Thoughts? Feel free to suggest something completely different.

I think it's a great idea Danne.

it looks much more organized this way. But the Speculation and General thing I feel could stay together.

i like it, but i think music could be thrown into media, and i like the idea of speculation being different from general, since its not really discussing current games.

I do like the Publications idea since the Manga seems to be highly discussed at times, but I'm not so sure on the Music section. I believe music along with videos could go under the Media category; it would make it more organized and more active if they were both placed under that section. The thing is, I'm just not so sure if there will be a lot of threads in the individual Music section. Anyway, I really like the list and the idea; it seems it will be a lot easier to keep up with and also a lot more helpful to the members so they can find things with more ease.

I agree with Cella that General and Speculation should be separated; I think General should focus on the current games and discussion related to it and Speculation focus on the future and theories of the KH series. I do think (if they are separate categories) that General and Speculation should stay fairly close to one another so that members can differentiate where they think their threads better belong; or I also agree that these two topics could be very complimentary to one another and belong in the same section, like "General and Speculations," but if you want to keep it more organized than I think the two sections should be separated... x-x I'm confused by what I said, but it is tough deciding whether those two topics could be meshed together..

I still do not think it is a good idea to make a KHIII section when their is little information of it and there has not been any documents and etc released of it (as what I know of); yet, I do believe it sits best under the Speculation category for now.

I still think that it's too early for a section on Kingdom Hearts 3D, because it doesn't have an official name revealed yet, right?

I don't know, maybe we could have a section for games with less coverage? Like putting the mobile game in there too? I don't know, just thinking allowed when I should be asleep.
