Square has announced that it will release the remakes of Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and IX for the PlayStation 2 in individual packages. Each will be in DVD-ROM format, with graphical and audio enhancements. Additionally, special features will be included in the remake discs. No release information has been disclosed on the three Final Fantasy remakes at this time.

Uh, this was super old news. They said this a long time ago. : Due to that stupid FF XII movie flopping and them losing money, they couldnt make this. They only remade all the other games. -_-

Yeah that one. Well, i heard that it bombed really badly at box office and that it made Square lose alot of money, hence why they couldnt do PS2 remakes of VII, VIII and IX.

Are you questioning whether it was a financial failure or if it was a good movie? It's absolutely true that it did poorly when it was released, but whether or not it's a good movie is up for interpretation.Being released on bluray doesn't say anything about it's quality.

It means that it was worth re-releasing 9 or 10 years later.

Being released on blu ray does not mean a movie was a success. Spirits within nearly bankrupt square and caused them to shut down Square Pictures. They re-release it in an attempt to make some money back. It's not a sign that the movie was successful, It's an attempt to make up for it's failure.
