Apparently, Spiritomb was nearly named Phantomb.

Sorry, what? Is that a site? If so, did they actually get it from an interview or at least from the mouth of someone in the localization team?

Not exactly the MOST reliable, although they just do Pokémon but if it isn't true, then who cares.

I don't play Pokemon (so seeing as I'm not already used to I don't have a biased opinion), but Phantomb sounds better to me.
