Sooo, I kinda feel like I missed this scene entirely or just forgot about it somehow. You know the scene in 3D, when Sora arrives at TWTNW and Xigbar explains to him why he's there and not home. 

 

Now that I watched this cutscene randomly again, I don't really understand what he was talking about. May be the time, I'm pretty tired or I'm just stupid, but whatever it is, I need to know what he meant. Did Sora time travel with the robe guy's help or what? Xigbar implies something like that, as I understood it.

 

Can anyone explain it to me? Someone who knows what he/she is talking about. Flaming Lea..? /o

Xigbar explained that Ansem SoD who was on Destiny Islands the moment it fell to darkness. When Sora and Riku opened the portal to the Realm of Sleep Ansem acted as a portal for Young Xehanort to enter the RoS. From that point on Young Xehanort guided Sora away from the original path to one of The Organizations making. When Sora arrived in TWTNW he was in the real world at this point Xigbar proceeded to put Sora into a second sleep where they guided him to the chasm of dreams.

Sora and Riku were sent back in time to when DI fell so they could enter into the RoS. Hooded Ansem happened to be there of course and Riku saw this and became Sora's DE basically .. Ansem acted as a portal for YMX to enter and the norts used this to guide Sora to where they wanted him ( with the help of a recusant sigil as well) - TWTNW- where they would trap and trick  him into eternal sleep so they could use his body as a vessel. They did try to use Riku first but realized he couldn't be used so they went down the list like the keyblade did and used Sora instead .

I dunno, but I avoided spoilers for that game like the plague so when he showed up it was so surprisingly awesome!!

Yes and Yen Sid gave them the new clothes too that eventually got altered by Xehanort ( sora's not riku's) with the recusant sigil and separately by Riku's DE mark when he became Sora's DE. Notice Lea picked up Sora's body and helped bring him back to the Mysterious Tower where he still was in a deep slumber . It was there Riku then had to dive into Sora's heart to save him from the deep darkness

I see. So they were send back in time, physically altered (I mean they look younger too and all) by Yen Sid and when they returned to the mysterious tower they went back to the way they were before? If that's how it is, I guess I understand that part. Thanks a lot ^^
