I hate people when.....

Everytime I talk about a game or anime story and when I say a story doesn't make sense, they derp like idiots and tell me

"deeerp this is fantasy, key word (Fantasy),it's not supposed to make sense"

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CAN YOU PLEASE UNDERSTAND!???

When I say (doesn't make sense)I'm not comparing a story to real life,NO I'M NOT COMPARING IT TO REAL LIFE!!!

What I mean is that it doesn't make sense in context of the story and the mythology of the story that the game is trying to tell me and how well they told it.

Example:When I say that stories like FF8 and LRFFXIII doesn't make sense,I'm not comparing it to real life,I'm talking about how it doesn't make sense in the mythology of the game's world and the fact that the game either NEVER explain what's going on or did a poor job at explaining it's own events

When a game forces me to go out of my way to look it up or buy it's Ultimania book just to understand the basics of the plot that the game should've explained to me,that's a sign of a poorly written plot.

There, next time when I say the phrase"doesn't make sense" You'll know what I mean, otherwise if I heard the phrase(Fantasy, keyword being Fantasy),I'll be preparing a Falcon Punch

FFVIII required a much more matured mind. Even as a young child I easily kept up with the story, but I realised long ago there was a rather defined gap between myself and the general peoples. Some people just need a straight forward storyline to either enjoy, or just to simply be able to understand.

Dude,I personally enjoy complicated storylines,I'm a fan of KH and Metal Gear after all

But what I don't enjoy is the game telling you nothing whatsoever and expects us to take our personal assumptions about it as truth.

And even if I kept up with VIII's story that doesn't make it good for me as there are dumb moments that make the story look stupid, like the scene in the orphanage and the very poor excuse that GFs make you lose your memory

or the stupidest deus ex machina I've ever seen where Squall and Rinoa were stuck in the middle of nowhere in space...and somehow a ship called Ragnarok, miraculously appear in front of them that's gassed up,ready to go and has enough oxygen for both of them,WHERE DID THAT SHIP COME FROM???

Well I could say the same thing about the FINAL FANTASY games I've played (X, X-2, XII, XIII, XIII-2 & LR) where once I've finished it, it makes sense. But I've never played VIII so I can't comment on it.

Not everything make sense once you finish it,example:I finished Resident Evil 6 and it still didn't make any sense(Yeah,Zombies that can drive cars, talk normally and hold machine guns...go figure).

Also, try playing things like FFVI,FFVII,FFIX and such

My bad- I literally did this yesterday when my friend was talking to me about the ending of Lightning Returns

Well in terms of the entirety of the XIII series, as an example, nothing really makes sense because everything is explained in 3-5 page datalogs that no one wants to read. Some series just aren't that good at explaining their mythology, which really makes you question "Did they even really try?"

I read the datalog of XIII and XIII-2 and I understand their stories despite the questionable methods of explaining things

LRFFXIII on the other hand makes 0% sense even when I read the game's datalog as it updates just to understand the nonsense I'm seeing like how and why Lightning thought that the only way to save Vanille is to LET HER F****ING DIE???What kind of Savior is she?? Didn't she say that when a soul dies during those last 13 days that they'll be lost forever to the chaos??Even Fang herself found that unbelievable,it's like Fang understands me and she wanna get out of this game
